Let's have a way too early Win Projection
BobChalmers replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anything can happen, of course, but losing at home to Denver? Why? The Ravens are going to take a huge fall this year too... -
That's just completely incorrect. "Best" is some combination of high ceiling and high floor - set to whatever mix a team is comfortable with. Many of the highest ceiling guys are available where they are, precisely because they are low-floor. Typical case is the supreme athlete who for whatever reason didn't produce in college. Our QB was that guy last year - remember? Rashan Gary is clearly that kind of guy. Incredible athlete even in a class of great athletes - but you have to decide why he didn't produce in college, and if that's something that can change. If you're wrong it's a terrible pick.

hehe - I am pretty comfortable leaving Curtis Martin out of any and all discussions of top 10 all time - maybe top 20 Just off the top of my head... Jim Brown Barry Sanders Emmitt Smith Earl Campbell Eric Dickerson Walter Payton Thurman Thomas OJ Simpson Marshall Faulk Marcus Allen LaDainian Tomlinson Gayle Sayers Franco Harris Tony Dorsett Adrian Peterson That's 15 already - where does Martin go on that list?

No one on the OL developed under Juan Castillo. Bills are making a mistake making any judgments based on anything over the last two seasons - hopefully they are smarter than that.

The Wonderlic has almost ZERO to do with retaining information, past some basic vocabulary questions. Give it a try - it's not easy. Also, it is timed and it is really fast (12 minutes for 50 questions) so under pressure and fast are two key components. Yes and he went from a 6 to a 16. I just tried one and got 29/29 when I ran out of time - apparently I'm smart enough to answer the questions but not smart enough to read the directions on the part where it's 12 minutes for 50 questions! Spent 5 minutes getting one that had me stuck Pretty sure I'd have been well in the 40's if I'd skipped it and moved on. I'm a physicist and robot AI developer, for context. Fitz has me impressed!

What am I missing about Jared Cook?

They're going to draft Hock. -
In other Bills OL news - all NFL OL look like hot garbage playing for Juan Castillo. As mentioned earlier - Long was in the 70's when he played for Bobby Johnson. Waddle played well for him too? COACHING MATTERS A LOT for NFL OL. ...so much so, in fact, that I question giving up on Groy and Miller who both looked like studs (along with most of the line) when coached by Aaron Kromer.

2OG,2OT,C,TE,2WR,RB,KR. That’s an offensive FA!

You can't really keep more than 8 on the active roster, so they need to stop soon or they're just throwing money away -
Or TE - there are still only 2 TEs on the entire roster.

Anybody know if Ansah has left town yet???
BobChalmers replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Meh - but do we even want him? So many talented Edge kids we could draft instead. I guess if we do get him, we're all in for Hock in the draft, and that part I like. -
So at what point is the issue the common guy on the field? (Phillip Rivers)

Lombardi tweets Barr might not be the only flip

I guess there's some added risk for the Bills' free agent additions if only because there are so many of them! -
More like Juan Castillo's blocking schemes make every OL he's ever coached look like crap.

Report - Bills talking to Hou for Clowney

Not if they're desperate to unload his contract. -
Safe to say at Pick #9, we are focused on OL/DL

Hughes led the league in pressures. What does "great" look like? -
CJ Mosley to the Jets (5 yr, $85M, $51M gtd)

The stupidity of Free Agency summed up in one deal.

Honestly Collins was the most ridiculous of all so far - $84M/6 years for a SAFETY who's BAD IN COVERAGE???? -
RB Frank Gore (Dolphins) to the Bills

Honestly I didn't want either of those guys. Flowers isn't worth the money (who is when they leave NE?). James is a mediocre TE - just draft Hock. Get two top OL in and one WR then on to the draft! I'll start getting upset when we lose out on those guys. Picking up some random cheap guys is all good.
