Kyle Williams .... this guy needs a nickname
A tisker a Tasker replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Fire Hydrant. For a few years now I have been calling him The Fire Hydrant. ...not because dogs urinate on him, but well, just look at him - he's heavy, made of metal and has short arms. I'm not sure where I got it from - I did not make it up, but I clearly remember calling him that during the ill-fated Dallas Monday Night Football game. It could be that one of the announcers made a remark to that effect. Either way - just look at him ...and think about it; if someone clobbered you with a fire hydrant at you wouldn't be feeling so good afterwards. -
What ever happened to The Buffalo Club of Atlanta? They used to meet at the Sidelines in Marietta on Lower Roswell Road. They used to get a pretty big crowd there. I stopped going though because I found the crew at the Cheyenne Grill (now moved down to Hudson) more fun. Now I have a kid so I don't go to either. I just stream 103.3 The Edge and get chores done around the house. Boooooo.

Talley's take on the Bills & the NFL player today
A tisker a Tasker replied to DaBills51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@ Mike in Syracuse. A little bit of perspective could do you a lot of good. Observe: Talley: 0-4 in Super Bowls Current Bills team: 0-4 in regular season games There's a world of difference between the two. Daryl Talley has an absolute right to crack on these bums. -
I am suspicious of open roster spot

After watching him fumble all over the place against UB in the MAC Championship game, I'd have a hard time rooting for Nate Davis. Go Bulls! -
Coy Wire on Atlanta Radio this morning
A tisker a Tasker replied to DC Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Regular Guys -Eric Von Haessler is from Rochester - he attended Monroe Community College - and Larry Wachs used to be on WPXY back in the the early 90's -so they met in the ROC and then went on to LA before ending up in Atlanta. As far as Coy Wire goes - sure he is not a great player, but you're talking about a Sanford guy who has stuck around the league for EIGHT YEARS. Do you know how hard it is to make an NFL roster once? Plus, since he played for the Bills in the 21st Century he has had the privilege of seeing a number of different coaching administrations. In light of thatI think he is qualified to compare and contrast football organisations. Side note - Coy is a good guy -he used to hang out at Gabriel's Gate back in the day. -
Sully on Howard Simon this morning

I'm sure Jerry's business card looks something like this: Jerry Sullivan Irritant I can't stand him, but the bottom line is that until this team starts winning, he'll be more right than wrong. It pained me to type that last sentence. -

Are Bills games really that family unfriendly?
A tisker a Tasker replied to jonramz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's put it this way - my dad took me to a lot more baseball games before I was allowed to go to a Bills game. - and we had season tickets. - and we were 11 rows back at the 40 yard line. There is a big difference between going to a Bills game and a lot of other sporting events. Now that I live down here in Atlanta I can tell you that a Falcons crowd is much more docile than a Bills crowd. The same goes for seeing a game in Charlotte. Bottom line - there is nothing more fun than going to a Bills game at The Ralph - just wait until your kids are middle-school age. -
Hear me now and believe me later - The Pats are going to kill them.

A Solution to the QB Problem
A tisker a Tasker replied to Benjamin Barker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It killed me that they went away from it so quickly on Sunday. The first play was positive. Then they went right back to it (which I love - keep running a play until they stop it.) and they ended up getting a penalty. Chan seemed to lose his nerve after that and we never saw it again. Triple Bison!!!! -
A chick show? Poorly written? Poorly acted? I don't think its any of those things. Not even close. Name another show where so much is communicated to the viewer without the actor speaking. I can't think of one. For the record, my wife finds the show incredibly boring. Its pretty much the one show I have to myself. I think Peggy is more like George Wilson - Overachiever who was brought in to do one job and ended up being fantastic at another.

From what I've heard, the Jags have a horrible marketing department. I'm told if you drive around Florida you'll see billboards for the Dolphins and Bucks but nothing for the Jags. Its almost as if they've given up. Regardless of the housing bubble, there is still quite a bit of money down there, they just have not tapped into it or expanded their market down to the Space and Treasure Coasts.

I don't know guys - Dan Reeves was on the radio here in Atlanta last night. He said he had spoken to Marty within the last week. Marty told him that he does not want to coach. -
Coaches that fit the Nix profile
A tisker a Tasker replied to cale's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love to see Dan Reeves come to Buffalo. He comes on the radio here in Atlanta once a week, and the guy is just fantastic. He wants to get another coaching job. Remember, he was let go in Atlanta because people thought that he was holding Mike Vick back with his "old school" ideas. The reality was the exact opposite. Neither Bobby Patrino nor Jim Mora Jr were able to get as much out of Vick as Reeves was. Listen to him break down plays when he is the color man on national radio broadcasts and then tell me that the game has passed him by. Trust me, the guy can still coach. -
Bills fans need to pull for Cowboy wins
A tisker a Tasker replied to LA Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is Wade the best coach ever? Not by a long shot. Lets give him is due though; he had a fantastic record with the Bills. ...not only that - he is one of the few coaches to have a winning record with this franchise. I wish we had the types of problems now that we had when he was the coach. -
There is no question that we have a good secondary now, but I have an idea. Why don't we hold onto the good CBs and safeties and use those picks on OTHER positions? Maybe then the team would get BETTER. I know, I know, thats crazy talk. Who knows, it may be crazy enough to work.
