  1. Was Bass's second field goal attempt, which went very wide left, tipped, or did he just miss it? I can't tell from the replay. I was feeling encouraged about his coming back into form until that happened.
  2. Of course there’s concern. especially about Allen’s wrist.
  3. It doesn't matter what people say. Especially when it's based on a shallow understanding of what happened in the draft, and in the game.
  4. I can’t believe how inept the Baltimore offense is. Jackson is a joke.
  5. They went 6-1, not 5-1, after Brady took over as OC. Then went 1-1 in the playoffs.
  6. This is why the new stadium in Buffalo is being built without any seats, because IDIOT BUFFALO FANS ARE TOO DUMB TO SIT DOWN DURING THE GAME. As if somehow you aren't a real fan unless you stand up the entire game and therefore prevent anybody else from seeing it unless they stand up too.
  7. Can't have a Virgil without a Dante.
  8. Good gravy. I'm glad none of you dudes run this team.
  9. Hope so. Depends on a lot of variables.
  10. Does nobody on earth besides me know that “biceps” is always plural? So is “triceps.” I know, it doesn’t matter.
  11. On those red zone plays, Coleman's route running is inadequate.
  12. It's not a reasonable suggestion.
  13. This video demonstrates how intolerable Chris Brown is as play-by-play announcer. I could hardly pay attention to the analysis because of his RIDICULOUS screaming, his voice breaking every time the Bills made a play. It's going to be impossible to listen to the Bills broadcasts.
  14. I agree about the screeching. It drives me out of the room. He's okay as an interviewer and commentator, but absolutely not what you want in a play-by-play man.
  15. Barry Sanders. This was my choice before I even read Alphadawg7's post. Obviously he's a wise person.
  16. Tyler Dunn = no thanks He doesn’t even know the meaning of the word “vanquishing” but he uses it in the mistaken belief it makes him seem smart.
  17. I wonder what people think about Sean McDermott?
  18. I used to ride my bike over to that motel (on Mile Strip Road) and watch the practice on the field behind the motel. Only a handful of other fans would be there, and the players coming out of the motel would joke with them. I remember Harry Jacobs wearing a golf hat instead of a helmet. The team (and the AFL) was so low-rent back then, it's hard to grasp how different and overwhelmed by money things in the NFL are today.
  19. That time Scarlett Johansson saw me wearing a Bills hat and came home with me.
  20. A person should know better than even to take a look at—let alone start—a thread that has the name "McDermott" in it, because it will immediately descend into the same obsessive pissing and moaning by his haters, without a trace of originality. You'd be better off hitting your head with a two-by-four for the next hour or so. That's all I got on this subject.
  21. This is why I don't even bother to engage with these posters anymore.
  22. Rex was a clown. He destroyed the Schwartz defense he inherited.
  23. I'm not expecting much out of him and I certainly hope the Bills aren't depending on him to be other than the erratic player he's been so far. They're taking the shotgun approach with all these WR signings hoping that one of them hits. That seems reasonable given the situation they find themselves in losing Diggs and Davis, cutting Harty and Sherfield, etc. What I'm really hoping for is Brady doing a better job of scheming the receivers--including backs and tight ends--open, and not depending on getting number 1 receiver production out of any of them.
  24. I think he will commit fewer turnovers. It's hard to say whether he'll have a significant drop in passing yards or TDs. I suspect that any reduction in passing will be made up for by an increase in team rushing and time of possession. I don't expect him to run more than he has in the past. All this depends of course on Allen staying healthy. That's always the thing that I worry about the most. Overall I expect the offense, once they get used to the new system and play calling, to function well. A lot of the team's success will depend if they can make up for the big changes on defense--if they have better injury luck they should hold their own.
