  1. I'm tired of the Daboll hate. I think he's doing better than a lot of people on this board say.
  2. WTF are you talking about? I didn't say not play him. I think they SHOULD play him. But he still acts like a jackass when he makes a catch.
  3. I wish Williams would not act as if he won the Super Bowl every time he makes a seven yard catch. It's ludicrous.
  4. I thought he tore up his knee. After he had surgery and came back, the fans called him "Golden Retreads." Fond memories. RIP.
  5. I do wonder sometimes if his career will be Mark Sanchez or Ben Rothliesberger. I like Allen and want him to succeed. He seems to be heading more in the Rothliesberger direction at this point. But Sanchez at one point looked to be heading toward being a franchise QB.
  6. Magox was being sarcastic, dude.
  7. Great comment. I was in agreement with Badol's analysis of what was possible, and it bothered me greatly when McBeane ditched so many good players, but I've come around since then. I think the culture change McD has managed is very important, as important as personnel changes.
  8. Been a Bills fan since the 1960s. There were some hard moments, but I never abandoned them. It just feels like part of my identity at this point. It's a pleasure to see them play well, and not just that, to feel that they have turned a corner and are on an upward path. I remember feelign this way in the late 1980s as the Marv Levy Bills became a juggernaut. I was not impressed with McDermott and Beane when it seemed they were determined to get rid of every good player on the team, but I was wrong and I'm happy to admit it.
  9. I'd award a "B" given the stage, the circumstances, the conservative play calling
  10. It does not matter one iota what these guys say, it only matters if the Bills win. If Allen plays well who cares what some stat freaks think?
  11. Sure, move it to wherever is appropriate. I think both of those possessives are correct. There is some leeway in these things. Every day I thank the Lord that I am not a Jets fan.
  12. I seem to have upset you. Feel free to ignore anything I say.
  13. Sure. Everybody makes mistakes or can't be bothered sometimes. Me, too. But I (and suspect you, too) know the difference between a mistake and ignorance. Ignorance is not really anything to be ashamed about. We're all ignorant about things we don't know. But once you've learned, is it so hard to get it right?
  14. Well, what I am correcting here is punctuation, not grammar.
  15. I did not know that. But it's in keeping with my belief that grammar checkers are moronic.
  16. Not if you say three Our Fathers and make a good Act of Contrition.
  17. I know this’is not something most people care about, but please, for the love of ‘God’, YOU DO NOT NEED AN APOS’TRPHY TO MAKE A SINGULAR NOUN PLURAL. IT IS’ ALWAYS WRONG. It's "the Bills" not "the Bill's." The "Patriots," not the "Patriot's." I saw two "dogs" in the street. Not "dog's." I know that this is a common mistake--but it's the fact that it's so common that drive’S me nut’s There are some tricky rule’s for apostrophe’s, and everybody makes mistake’s sometime’s, but THIS IS NOT HARD. Do an old man a favor and learn this simple rule. Your life will be immeasurably better, your s’ex life will improve, and your income will jump by 15%, and the Bill’s will beat the Pat’s. REMEMBER: Possessive pronouns like its, his, hers, ours, whose, theirs, etc. NEVER take an apostrophe. Ever’ ever’ ever. For the love of god, apostrophe’s do not make things plural.
  18. Despite his talents and his success, I did not care for Doug Flutie while he was here. He seemed to me to be too much about Doug Flutie. But YMMV.
  19. Very similar to my own story. Which of us is older? I graduated from West Seneca High School in 1968.
  20. You're right. But you change kickers only if you have a better option.
  21. The obvious breakdown is make sure you beat the Jets, find a way to beat the Steelers. Two wins there. But that would not be enough to cement the idea that the Bills are for real. The statement would be, on top of those two wins, to beat the Patriots at Foxboro. This would go a long way toward changing the narrative. Beating the Ravens would be, on top of that, gravy. I think 2-2 in these last four games is a reasonable expectation. 3-1 would be outstanding. 4-0 would be fantasyland, and the reaction nationally would be hysteria.
  22. I'd like it if the Bills did not crow too much. Stay humble.
  23. I had a great Thanksgiving with my family, for whom I am truly grateful. The game was just the icing on the cake, but what sweet icing. Thank you, Buffalo Bills.
  24. The Broncos shut down Dalvin Cook last week (11 carries for 26 yards). If the Bills try to run it down their throats they will create a bunch of three-and-outs. The Bills need to pass the ball.
