  1. "Canadians IS so dumb...." What grammar school did you graduate from? I would hope you're not teaching WNY's youngsters on any topic. C-E-N-T-R-E is in fact the correct spelling. http://www.rogerscentre.com/ Centre derives from British English until Americans dumbed down the English language to aid simplicity and stupidity.
  2. Easily. JP is 2 inches taller than Rex and has better vision over the line. He's more mobile. A better all-around athlete. Throws better on the run. He has a better long ball. And the sacks that JP has taken are from the opposing team's defence, not the self-sacks that Rex is renowned for!
  3. DrD.: You have reason to be optimistic. Now that you guys have some equity in this, the bank may be willing to match your 14K. So potentially, you may be looking at 28K!
  4. Please read my original post so you understand my picks. Brady is a 3-0 Superbowl QB. As much as we loathe Marsha, he has to be considered to be among the favorites. He's a proven winner. More Superbowl wins than Peyton, more than Elway, and one less than Montana. Let's say he has 2-3 more good years left in him. Who do you go with as a high-potential replacement for the future? How about a rookie Pro Bowl QB that led his team through several game-winning drives to finish the season with a 6-1 record over the last 7 games (and one of those in our home). You can argue for other young QBs like Rivers. Time will tell, but Vince Young, by the end of his career, could be the greatest African American QB to ever play the game. Maybe, maybe not. Clearly the guy has great promise and has far exceeded the expectations a lot of people had for him coming out of last year's draft. I wish JP had the same results in his first starting year in 2005 when he was handed the ball in Week 1 before being pulled for Kelly H. later in the season.
  5. That's baloney. You've posted the same thing verbatim two other times. You've interjected your feelings already in your previous replies to your previous identical posts. The story has spoken for itself and people have commented on it in your two previous incarnations of the same post.
  6. BoondckCL: What part of facts is your sorry excuse for a head having a problem with? Fact: Dan Marino was a Pro Bowl QB in his rookie year. Fact: Vince Young is also a Pro Bowl QB in his rookie year. Fact: Vince Young is the first rookie to play in the Pro Bowl since Marino Fact: I asserted Brady should be considered for the next 2-3 years Fact: I asserted Vince Young be considered for the future post Brady Once the car hits you as you walk into oncoming traffic, call me. Perhaps that, and a good old-fashioned Tylenol, will help raze you from your morbidity.
  7. Oh, a lot is confusing to you. And an inability to read my original post. So your retardation grows with every post. Don't worry, the offseason will heal your head. Brady for the next 2-3 years. Vince Young for the future.
  8. It's still too small for the NFL. 55,000 for football and that's already with 10,000 seats with extremely poor sightlines for the larger CFL football field. Even worse sightlines for the smaller NFL field.
  9. Yeah, thanks, it was quite the "rebutal". Also, check the dictionary next time you post. The correct spelling is "rebuttal". Brady 3-0 in Superbowl history. Brady for the next 2-3 years. Vince Young for the future. What part of that are you still confounded by?
  10. I'm sensing that your next argument will bring up Jim Kelly as type of winner you want. 0-4?
  11. Defeat? We were the ones defeated and had our asses kicked by Vince in our home park. Where was the secondary in containing this guy? Fact: He's a Pro Bowler in Year 1. First rookie to do so since Marino. What facts do you still need help with?
  12. Maybe you need your head examined for not understanding the context of my original post. Brady for the next 2-3 years. Vince Young for the future.
  13. But don't they always?!
  14. And as much as we hate Mr. Nutrisystem, the final chapter of that book ended with a trip to Canton. Not a bad ending. Marino Year 1: Pro Bowl. ...... Marino: HOF. Losman Year 1,2,3: No Pro Bowl ....... HOF: "the book is still unwritten"
  15. Culpepper's knee injury may impair his mobility for good. Some athletes never fully recover from knee injuries. Harrington's 0.0 QB rating at RW Stadium and similar stats against the Jets in Week 17 showed us what kind of a QB he is. Certainly not the QB of the future for the Fins. Cleo Lemon didn't show enough to lead to the conclusion that he is franchise quarterback material.
  16. Your now commenting on your own posts??? and duplicate posts at that.
  17. Why do you have post and continually repost the same thing online? Toronto has no football stadium, no appetite to build one. The much-talked-about co-bidders Ted Rogers (owner of the Blue Jays) and Larry Tannenbaum (owner of the Raptors / & Maple Leafs) have been told directly by Goodell that the league's priority is to put a team in Los Angeles, not Toronto. And Ted Rogers owns the Skydome, where the Blue Jays and the CFL Argos play. He won't support the building of a new purpose-built stadium for the NFL. And the Skydome is an aging behemoth, not up to NFL standards.
  18. And Losman did?
  19. The rock star -- aka Vince Young -- is the first rookie QB to play in the Pro Bowl since Dan Marino. I'd want that type of a football player.
  20. As the game ended after the second half, it surely would have been boring.
  21. Sean Kugler could also have some special insight on unknown OLs from the WAC after coacing BSU for a year. An undrafted free agent not known to other teams can often be a bonus if he works out.
  22. If anyone gets the NFL Network where they are, they actually provided the Westwood 1 radio feed with Marv Albert and Boomer Esiason. On the screen, they showed real-time, updating stats. I flipped over a few times after enduring some of the excessive commercials on CBS.
  23. The results will speak for themselves. We'll know by the end of 2009 whether RW's experiment in bringing ML back was worthwhile. We're all cheering for it to be worthwhile. But only time will tell. The next two drafts are critical.
  24. The ribbon board that circles the stadium will be a great upgrade. Will allow more advertising and more root-for-the-home-team stuff. I saw it at Dolphins Stadium when I saw the Jets - Fins game on Monday night football. I also saw it at Air Canada Center in Toronto where the Maple Leafs play. It's amazing.
  25. That's very rational. Many people frame and display "ding" letters with a source of pride! Just don't expect Goodell's signature to be in ink. (You don't have to tell anyone that though!)
