  1. Good going! Thanks
  2. No textual link yet. I can't find it either. But the Jets board is lighting up over the story. http://nyjetsfan.com/forum2/index.php?showtopic=17489
  3. Marv could have a heart to heart with the guy about "character".
  4. So much for the idea that the Jets will have a committee of backs next year.
  5. The on-field circus in SD after the win over the Chargers The whining by Bruschi and others over the Colts getting too much glory and the Pats not getting enough respect Bellycheck's arrogant attitude with Solomon Wilcots after the loss to the Colts etc.
  6. The offseason program for Ellison will be key. A focused strength training program that doesn't compromise speed.
  7. Ahhh, a great name from the past!
  8. I like that Jauron talks about the speed, arm movement, and agility as well. We're not building a line made of play-do but a beefy ninja fighting machine.
  9. He kept his word. He also realized early on that Nate wanted out for bucks he wouldn't spend and that Nate's girlfriend wanted in to a "glamour" city. She hated it here.
  10. Now the next project is to beef up our run defence. If we allow teams to run over us againnext year, we will NOT be making the playoffs.
  11. The Pats / Bruschi PR machine is unreal. So we get another "heart-wrenching" story coming our way. I'm sure one of the networks will profile it on their sunday pre-game shows in the fall. Bruschi's PR machine is cranking up his off-field stuff cooincident with his on-field decline.
  12. It would be a risk on the Pat part for sure.
  13. A 2nd round draft pick for Willis would be ideal if the trade talks are for real. But having Willis back in '07 won't kill the team. He'll work his @ss off in his contract year behind the new O-line. The off-field paternity suit issues will be the only distraction.
  14. Harrison and Seymour are scum. Dirty players. When they can't win by talent, they take cheap shots. Pretty much somes up the Pats attitude as well after their elimination from the AFC championship in January.
  15. I'd be stunned if they brought Moss in. First, he's in the last years of his prime. Second, does he fit the Pats scheme and strategy regarding free agent signings.
  16. Marv is the man!!!!!
  17. ... and how about Houston hometown boy Vince Young.
  18. errr, wrong again, koolaid boy. the Pats also IMPROVED on their performance. But I guess you have a problem interpreting numbers don't you? ever consider an adult remedial logic course? 12-4 is better than 10-6. conference finals is better than conference semi's. the Chargers? Ha! and didn't they lose to the ..... in the conference semis'? ahhhh, yuppers, the Pats ... the team in your child fantasy world, on the "decline" bend over and take it like a man.
  19. Using that koolaid logic, the Chargers, Ravens, Saints are all teams in decline as well. The Pats record speaks for itself 2006 NE 12-4 Playoffs: AFC Conference finals 2005 NE 10-6 Playoffs: AFC Conference semi's A team in decline? Koolaid drinkers never use facts, merely hyberbole in spinning fantasy arguments.
  20. And the newbie GM for the Giants burned his own credibility by opening his mouth on this. Other teams will approach him caution or not broach any of their most sensitive potential trades with him. The Giants lose out.
  21. With actions being taken this week to beef up the OL, the next step is to fix our run defence problem. If we don't fix our run defence in '07, we won't be making the playoffs. Teams will run all over us again and pick on McGee through the passing game.
  22. Agreed. I've checked the newswires and can't find anything about this.
  23. "just another clear indication of a franchise in decline" would be a team that worsened its playoff position from '05 to '06. The Pats made the final four in '06 after being booted by Denver in the conference semi's in '05. Had they not lost to Indy by 4 points late in the fourth quarter, they would have beaten Gross Wrecksman and the Bears for their 4th Superbowl. Lots of cap space still left and 2 first round draft picks coming up. Anybody who thinks the Pats won't be contenders in '07 is drinking koolaid. Pundits have been predicting the Pats demise for years. And as much as we hate the team, the Pats still keep winning the division year after year after year, and have 3 Superbowl wins to show for it.
  24. There was no acknowlegement in the article of Bellychick's knack for resuscitating average players and making them work in his defensive schemes. And Adalius Thomas is not average as he joins the Pats.
