So Russell returns after JP's one play and leads the team on a 62-yard game-leading (winning?) / go-ahead drive.
Likely the greatest drive of Russell's pro career
Redemption???
Does he start next week?

I'm going to side with you, calling the guy a "POS" implies a certain amount of intent--like he tries to lose games or commits crimes or whatever. Dude simply isn't all that into being a ball player. he's a piece of vanilla. piece of bland nothing. but not a pos.
but seriously, bad player. Concussions? bad coaching? little interest? I (scratch that, WE) don't have the answer. but he is not good enough. Fitz was bad today, BUT when he was benched for Trent? Guy comes out with one good foot and made some great plays. I say someone f's up his ankle before every game. Fitz is not that great either, and should certainly not start next year. BUT he shows a passion that Trent never had. Once Fitz wakes up the team looks like a team.
You raise a great point.
The interim coach demonstrates a lot of passion as well (not that it's translated to a winning record for Fewell yet). Fewell has likely placed some value on that trait in supporting Fitz as the starter

I don't hate Trent, I just know something that you apologists can't seem to come to terms with - the guy flat out sucks.
He is your hero, your defensive posts make this painfully obvious to see.. What's theoretical about it? Our QBs play poorly because our QBs suck. Step back for a minute and take that in.. Our QBs suck - repeat that 10 times, or take off your rosy glasses, whichever is easier.
? What does that mean?? I don't speak apologist...
Our rosy glasses are off. You've taken them from us in your hate-on for the benched QB.
Trent is our "hero"
What kind of Koolaid are you drinking?
No one on this board has claimed that Trent is our "hero"
Your tired trade is wearing thin

Watching now. Really makes me realize what a grade "b" product the Bills are.
Both teams have something the Bills don't = the lethal combination of Talent AND Execution
-
Russell back in
Converts 4th down and 10.
1st down Raiders

2:31 minutes left in OAK-DEN game
JP Losman is coming in to play for Russell who leaves the field
-
Really? McKelvin's a first round pick who plays a soft corner, he cost us the first game (then said he'd do the same thing again, fighting for meaningless yards when the game's on the line) then left with injury, and was picked in a year when we needed LB, DL and OL help, which is indicative of a clueless front office. Um, he's a perfect fit.
Indicative of a front office that placed excessive value on bringing in players for the Secondary, while ignoring depth at Linebacker and D-line help

There is watching a professional football game, eg. SD v. Cinci and there is watching this Bills team.
the two are very different>
That give-up Gates deflection/interception has given Cincy new life

Doesn't appear very talented at all. Let's face it, he had 10 productive games in college at a position he doesn't translate to at the NFL level. A questionable selection at best in a draft full of talented LB's that are excelling right now. Maybin has bust written all over him at this point.
It's hard to accept what you're saying, because there's so much truth to it.
-
"one a cheap shot on Seau"
LOL, he hit him on his shoulder how that was blokcing in the back is beyond me.
He played good for just getting here.
Even most objective observers would call that questionable call. One wonders whether refs watch Incognito even more given his record of unnecessary roughness penalties and heavy fines this year?
If we're going to pick on an O-lineman, can we pick on Kirk Chambers instead? His jello blocking today was unbearable to watch.
-
We suck at drafting.
That s why I do not root for the Bills to lose to improve the position at which they suck.
And Maybin is good at holding out and scoring himself a $5M/year contract
Maybin makes more money per year than "impact" players on the Bills like Freddy Jackson yet makes more. Perverse. But that's the 1st round top 10-15 draftee pay scale at play

Fear not my friend. Now that this season is officially over we can look forward to the offseason when Ralph and Russ pull their magic and get a spectacular GM who doesn't see the Bills as a steaming pile of ****, but rather as the diamond in the rough we all know to be true. Who then hires the coach that will take us to the promised land .. the superbowl! 19 - 0 in 2010 baby! All us fans have to do is Billieve one more year and buy up all the tickets and merchandise we can find!
And now if you will excuse me, it is time for my medication and Eliza Dushku just arrived begging me to go to bed with her.
Oh if it were only true, we'd be at your doorstep seeking advice on your magic touch
-
No, you didn't say he was better than 1/2 of the QBs in the league, but your other Trentative apologist did, so excuse me if I just lump all of you guys together - in one big pile of stupidity..
Oh and by the way, I was asking a rhetorical question, "you want to go back and worship the 4-0 start of last year?" because I know this is the reason why you defend your hero - Trentative "Super Bill" Edwards...
Thank you for the complement, but I also write non-fiction much better than you ever will as well...
You're truly a desperate poster JayBaller10.
So you attribute comments to a poster who actually didn't make them.
And now you're asserting Trent is our "hero". That's quite a theoretical leap on your part.
We're making assertions about the offensive line and its complicity in our QB corps (Fitz, Trent) poor play and you assert that Trent is our "hero"
Bring it on honey. You're hate-on for the benched QB is breathtaking.
-
You ARE making a fool of yourself when you argue that he can be successful and agree with statements that he is better than 1/2 the QBs in the league.
You want to go back and worship the 4-0 start of last year? Tell me again what teams Trentative beat...?
You're utterly brilliant at attributing comments to someone who didn't make them.
In fact JayBaller10, you're the one making a complete fool of yourself for attributing these comments.
"better than 1/2 the QBs in the league" ... HUHHH???? Didn't say that honey
"worship the 4-0 start" ... HUHHH? ... Where's the worship? I've re-checked all my posts and nowhere was that stated.
JayBaller10, you're a wonderful writer of Fiction. You should write the story of the Bills for the next decade with your misuse of facts and phantom evidence
-
Red, Don't let it get to you. It is what it is. It is what it has been for a very long time. Sad but true. I get a chuckle out of those who steadfastly defend the owner of this monstrosity.
Our fan base is frustrated. We just want a winner. Winning the division. Even a winning season if it was possible.
The Decade of Drought is a decade to forget.
-
The only problem with the poll is that there wasn't a selection that said "All of the Above"
-
Never said that. Unfog the windows.
However, Trent did take a lot of sacks because he was holding onto the ball too long. So yeah, that could have made the o line appear better.
Trent sucks. He's not going to be a starter for the Bills. Get over it.
We're over it honey.
Of course he's not coming back.
But barking away at how Trent is the bad bad bad guy is wearing out as your tired trade.
It's Trent's fault. It's Trent's fault. It's Trent's fault.
-
What about Chambers making #99 look like an All Pro?
Chambers couldn't make New England's practice squad even if he brought his "A" game
-
- We all now know Maybin just sucks at everything
You are WRONG
Aaron Maybin is actually very talented at holding out for a contract, not having played a snap in professional football ... and scoring $5M a year
Now that's good!
-
The Bills are likely interested in GMs and coaches currently employed by other NFL teams, which we are forbidden from speaking to.
That's the big challenge for us. We may need to wait until January 4th for something to happen.
-
Uh oh... Another Trent apologist!! They're popping up out of the woodwork!! No DC in the league respects Trentative Edwards and his abilities (or lack thereof). Stop trying to make excuses as to why he can't get the job done, you're making a fool out of yourself on a message board.
It's all Trent's fault! It's all Trent's fault! It's all Trent's fault!
Like a broken record, bashing one guy out of 53
And not a word about our Jello Offensive Line
JayBaller10 = making a fool out of yourself
-
He never made the players around him better. That's a sign of a good QB and a winner. He was neither.
And don't use "Really" so often. It's cliche and utterly dumb.
Yes, you're right, Trent couldn't make the Offensive Line better than him.
Trent could have done far more to improve the play of Kirk Chambers and also to prevent Demetrius Bell from taking so many false start penalties.
Trent, you deserve ALL the blame for not making the Offensive Line around you better.
It's all your fault Trent
-
I feel an upset coming on too...
an upset stomach
Pepto Bismol can't correct the upset stomach with this silly loss
-
OMG, he sucks almost worst than Maybin.
And that in itself is a tough task!
Trent deserves better...

We got the reality, honey. And we're truly gratified to receive your "Congratulations!" Yoooohooo!
We know Trent's the benched QB. You've mystically created an image for your so-called apologists of hero-worship for the benched QB.
No one on this post has asserted that Trent is a "hero". Find the poster who posted the word "hero" in reference to Trent, and we'll all chip in to buy you a 50-year Bills anniversary commemorative coin.
But nothing like a hate-on for a benched QB to color your absence of rational analysis
