  1. I would not take Lynch back. People complain about Spiller, but he's still a 5.1 YPC back. Fred Jackson is the better overall player, and Spiller has far more potential than Lynch. Do we really long for the days of 3.8-4.1 yards per carry from our RBs? Lynch's 4.2 career YPC says all you need to know about him. The current 1-2 punch the Bills have is just about as efficient as you can get for a stable of backs. Oh, and Whitner? Aaron Williams is better.
  2. Are you really going to claim the Bills aren't good at anything? They didn't win games, but only someone totally ignorant to the game of football could make that statement.
  3. The Bills would be 9-7 or 10-6 with an average QB. Wilson is pretty average, so yeah he would make a difference. However, the Bills need far better than an average QB if they are going to build a consistent winner.
  4. The fact that the Bills aren't dead last shows you how great of a player Cordy Glenn is turning into. If he stays healthy he'll be making All-Pros and Pro-bowls for the next 10 years.
  5. Lynch was expendable at the time because it was painfully obvious that Fred Jackson was the better of the two players. Fred was a better runner, blocker, and receiver, while Lynch struggled to get over 4.0 yards per carry. Jackson: 2007: 58 carries 300 yards 5.2 avg 2008: 130 carries 571 yards 4.4 avg 2009: 237 carries 1,062 yards 4.5 avg 2010: 222 carries 927 yards 4.2 avg http://espn.go.com/n...95/fred-jackson Lynch: 2007: 280 carries 1,115 yards 4.0 avg 2008: 250 carries 1,036 yards 4.1 avg 2009: 120 carries 450 yards 3.8 avg 2010: 37 carries 164 yards 4.4 avg http://espn.go.com/n.../marshawn-lynch Not to mention the fact that he was one infraction away from a very lengthy suspension from Goodell did not make his trade value very good.
  6. http://espn.go.com/n...613/jairus-byrd http://espn.go.com/n...id/3552/ed-reed http://espn.go.com/n...251/earl-thomas Troy Polamalu 11 years 32 INT 13 forced fumbles http://espn.go.com/n...4/troy-polamalu
  7. Ed Reed: 12 years 64 INTs 11 forced funbles Earl Thomas: 4 years 15 INTs 5 forced fumbles Jairus Byrd: 5 years 22 INTS 11 forced fumbles Byrd creates more turnovers than Thomas does, so I'll take him.
  8. Yeah, my point was that all the scouts who who helped draft all those great receivers aren't even in Indy anymore. The previous guy seemed to think that there was some magical ability that made the Colts good at drafting WRs.
  9. Yeah, I really doubt there are many (if any) guys left over from when those players were drafted. Irsay cleaned out all of Polian's guys.
  10. I never understood the Christian obsession with gay people. The Bible prohibits and denounces a whole hell of a lot more than homosexuality. Shouldn't they be out protesting women being in positions of authority?
  11. The Bills were trying to re-sign him before he got hurt, so I think it's fair to say the team at least wants him back. Let's not forget that he was an opening day starter on a very deep defensive line. Bringing Alex back gives the Bills a lot of guys to rotate in without the need to spend a draft pick.
  12. I'm very excited to see the defense next season. If Marcell has a good game next week, we could have four guys with at least 10 sacks. Also, I'm not surprised Kyle Williams is playing so well his surgery takes at least a year and a half before you are up to speed, and he's getting closer to that date. I don't think anyone has mentioned Nigel Bradham yet, he (like a lot of Bills) played very well yesterday. The announcers were saying Brad-Ham every time he made a play.
  13. There's a reason that the Geneva conventions established civilians targets as off limits after WW2. If you apply the very rules these leaders created after the war, then yes, they would be war criminals. Fire-bombings and nuclear explosions would certainly make you a war criminal today.
  14. Yes, the necessity of targeting civilians...which makes you a terrorist. Legitimate military groups attack other military groups. Bomb a mall = terrorist Bomb a military convoy = Soldier There is never any legitimate reason to target civilian populations, and anyone who does is a war criminal.
  15. I never understood the great devotion for the man. MLK and Gandhi didn't blow up department stores, schools, and libraries. You could have the greatest point in the world, but the moment you start harming innocents you are nothing but a POS. He should have died in prison.
  16. Indy's front office is terrible at trades. A 1st for Trent Richardson...Jerry Hughes for Kelvin Sheppherd
  17. Or, you know, Jeremy Jacobs, Terry Pegula, or Golisano could buy the team. All of them have deeper pockets than any Toronto buyer.
  18. So you do that by: 1. Paying $1B for the franchise 2. Paying $1B for a Stadium 3. Paying $400 M to Erie County 4. Paying a relocation fee to the NFL Good luck turning a profit after spending that much money.
  19. There are NFL provisions that state you can't own a team in another market if there is an NFL team in that market. Pegula would then be fine to own the Bills and Sabres. He just couldn't own the Bills and Rangers for instance.
  20. Bon Jovi is worth $300 million... I wonder who would win the bidding war...
  21. Why would anyone consider Pettine as HC? If GMs wanted a defensively minded HC there were a bunch of good candidates last year. Instead, nearly all the new coaches are offensive guys. There's a reason Chip Kelly and Doug Marrone have head coaching gigs.
  22. Well, duh. Should we commend Jim Carrey and Jenna McCarthy for their anti-vaccine rhetoric? After all, they are just speaking their minds.
  23. This is probably the perfect place for him. Ever since Carrington went down the Bills haven't had a prototypical 3-4 end on the team. He'll get playing time if he's good.
  24. The Bills were intentionally playing Gilmore with a 10 yard cushion most of the time. There's a reason Bowe's longest catch was 11 yards, that's how Pettine designed it.
  25. I really, really doubt the Dolphins cut Martin. They would lose a lawsuit so fast it would make their heads spin. It's the equivalent of firing a worker because they were sexually harassed.
