Bills officially for sale - let the bidding begin!
Fingon replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cash is king to the NFL. That's why Pegula has a leg up on everyone else. I don't think we've heard of any other prospective bidders selling assets. -
Game of Thrones Part Deax: The Readers Thread

You will see, in A STORM OF SWORDS and later volumes, that Sansa remembers the Hound kissing her the night he came to her bedroom... but if you look at the scene, he never does. That will eventually mean something, but just now it's a subtle touch, something most of the readers may not even pick up on." http://www.westeros....rtells_and_More Straight from GRRM's mouth. It's hard to think it will mean something if the Hound is dead. -

"The Court concludes that the [board’s] finding that the marks at issue ‘may disparage’ Native Americans is unsupported by substantial evidence, is logically flawed, and fails to apply the correct legal standard to its own findings of fact" http://files.redskin...on-Redskins.pdf -

Of course the name should be changed, just don't expect it to be because of this case. The Feds bungled the last one and the dissenting opinion this time says they did no better. We'll find out on appeal, but don't expect much nor for this to be resolved quickly. The last time it took 4 years. -

It was reversed because there was no evidence. The government didn't even try to show that the majority of Native Americans find the name disparaging. -

If you read the 2003 decision the government has to provide detailed analysis on Native American populations and their opinions on the team's name. -

Public opinion isn't a legal argument. -

The same thing happened 15 years ago, and the Redskins won on appeal. Unless something has changed I expect a similar verdict. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/06/18/on-washington-name-same-ruling-was-issued-15-years-ago/ -

He'll get his dog back as it wasn't his GFs to sell. Stolen items are returned to their original owner regardless of who the current owner is. -
So are you saying that they would have had a better record against the superior competition? I find that very hard to believe. Regardless, even if they ended up with the same record they would still be a 4 or 5 seed.

I'm definitely not underestimating the Heat. Dwyane Wade's knees are arthritic and will never get better. Norris Cole/Mario Chalmers were absolutely terrible, and they have no starting big man. Bosh doesn't play in the paint and is more of a catch and shoot from mid-range or three type of player. LeBron is the best player in the world, but the team around him is awful. Miami won 54 games this year, which would make them a 4th or 5th seed in the West. That's only if they can win as many games in the West as they did in the historically bad East.

Please be careful, Robert Woods...
Fingon replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Damn... Robert Woods must be lack toast intolerant -
Not a surprise that the Broncos and Seahawks are both in the top 5. Manning throws the ball a lot and Russell Wilson has a really high fumble rate. It doesn't make that much of a difference because the Broncos can outscore you, and nobody can score on the Seahawks. The Bills are in #1 because of Thad Lewis.

Sorry, but the current version of Border Patrol is a travesty to our Constitution. Anyone within 100 miles of a coastline or international border lives within a constitution free zone. BP are legally allowed to perform warrant-less searches, and even search without probable cause within these zones. BP could show up at Ralph Wilson Stadium and detain and search anyone they wanted. They aren't limited to actual borders. Edit: Here's a map of the constitution free zone https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights-constitution-free-zone-map

Hah no... no I don't. Wyane Wae has completely checked himself out of this series. The Heat would be an average team in the West. They don't have a starting PG, PF, or C. Bosh doesn't rebound and hangs out around the 3 point line, Wae doesn't play D, and the entire team is old as dirt. The only player that the Heat have that would be ranked in the Top 10 in the West is LeBron. Jeff Van Gundy made the same point last game. It's like watching a middle schooler play defense: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6awLLLgeYM If you think the Heat would be a top seed in the West you need to watch more basketball. This team is far, far worse than they were last year. They are lucky the East may be the worst it's ever been.

That's definitely correct. It would take a population in the millions to field an army of 100,000 warriors, and from what we've seen in the show there is no chance the land beyond the wall could support that many. Let's not forget that almost the entire military strength of the North joins Robb at the end of season 1 and that was like 20,000 soldiers.
-
This series just proves how pathetic the Eastern Conference actually is. The Heat would have been a fifth or sixth seed in the West.

Chiefs release Brandon Flowers
Fingon replied to voodoo poonani's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As what though? Surely he would want to start, and I don't think there is a place for him. I expect Graham/Robey to be very productive in the slot, and McKelvin/Gilimore have the outside locked down. -

Which is why Canadian fans don't mind crossing the border. They get to take advantage of much lower prices on consumer goods. -
computer possibly hacked(chrome)- what do I do?
Fingon replied to Pete's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Reformat your hard drive. Not only will any viruses/malware be gone but your computer will run like the day you bought it. Any data you need can be saved in dropbox or burned to a DVD/Blu-Ray. The problem with that is that 90% of programs are made for Windows. You need to run WINE or a similar program to be able to use many applications, and at that point you know enough about computers that you wouldn't spend your own money on a Mac anyway. This is also the reason you won't get a virus for a Mac... because no one uses them. -
