  1. It is a crime that Cookie is not on the Bills wall of fame. I wish there was a way he and Ralph could deal with their differences. He was a truly great player.
  2. Wow I stand corrected. He looked a lot like Elvis.
  3. You left out Elvis the C. I agree the band was excellent and the song choice inspired, but Ferrell's tired out of key act ruined it for me.
  4. I'm surprised nobody has commented on Will Ferrell. Is there a more unfunny person to have closed the show with? And he even pulled out the cowbell! How fresh! Conan is great and I agree he got screwed in this mess, but that last bit was unwatchable.
  5. They weren't kidding when they said I wouldn't recognize the new coaches names. Hope he's a good one.
  6. Actually I think that is true of how people are looking at Tim's writing, both at ESPN and here. Every word is being disected and analyzed to death. Is he pro Bills or anti Bills? Is he intentionally stirring the pot with his now infamous Marty-blog? The backlash on Tim the last few days has been borderline ridiculous by some (not all). Me, I think he's a quality writer with a national audience who just so happens to pop in over here with good to great information from time to time. And oh yeah, he moved his family back to Buffalo as well. From 30,000 feet that seems pretty great to me and I choose not to micro-analyze his intent with each sentence he writes. JMO.
  7. I can see Ralph skimming the payroll records now...."Dan Reeves? The fella who played Superman? I thought he was dead!"
  8. Are you the guy in my section flapping his arms telling me when to cheer? If so, then please don't renew your tickets, you're very annoying.
  9. ^^^^^^^this. Thanks Tim for this thread and your contributions to the board. They are appreciated by most. Well said Matt. Please post more. Last I knew, Lori has a job too. It really should be all of our job to marginalize the idiots. But at times like yesterday, it's hard not to feel overrun with them. Clearly the downside of an open forum.
  10. Pooj come on. Achieving a 61% winning percentage over 327 games is a little different than 56% over 32. The numbers are not even comparable. Since you seem to be OK with everything that has happened the last 24 hours, I will just say that the reason I am so upset by this latest turn of events is that Marty was exactly what the TEAM said they were looking for in a coach. Hell, I don't even like Marty (the whole can't win in the playoffs thing) but compared to what we have had the last 10 years, and what we have now going forward, he is BY FAR the better choice, and it isn't close. And Ralph screwed it up again by overruling those who know more than he does. Just unbelievable.
  11. Uh-huh, you mean while coaching the team to a 14-2 record. And our extremely lucid 92 year old owner figured that all out! Sorry, not buying it. And he sounded just fine as a color announcer for the year he did that after he left the game. Boring as hell, but not confused in the least. And if he did have some kind of health problem, do you really think his family would let him make overtures about any job? I'll take Tim G.'s word for it on this one, thank you very much. Ralph screwed this franchise again. Of course, that is his perogative.
  12. Tedy can go fark himself. Obnoxious creep.
  13. Good news. I like Eric a lot and am rooting hard for the young man to make it all the way back, for his sake and ours.
  14. Is there some context here or is that as much gibberish as it seems?
  15. So you're saying there's a bright side?
  16. 1-800-WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK I would say "The Ralph" no longer refers to our stadium, but rather the collective reaction to this hire. Just unbelievable. Perry would have been inspired compared to this train wreck.
  17. You have established yourself as a VERY reliable source for real Bills news and I suspect I speak for the vast majority of posters here when I say thanks. As for the 2 posters you mention, ignore them. That's what I do.
  18. Good point. But that outrage will be nothing compared to that felt if the Chan Gailey rumor is true. An absolute retread and nothing more. Oh, and a quality organization makes the choice it feels is best regardless of how the fans may feel about it. My point is that if they really felt Perry was the right guy, they should have hired him.
  19. +1. We would be incredibly lucky to replace him with someone half as good.
  20. based on the rate of rejection by candidates, I think the updated standard for our new coach is that when you put a mirror under his nose, it fogs up.
  21. Agree that Daffy is an obvious #2, but aside from him I was a huge Marvin fan. Loved the Marvin and Duck Dodgers cartoons. Oh yeah, the Herm Edwards vote is hilarious. I'll choose ICE.
  22. Agree that it was worse the first go-around. But it is now clear he came back and took a much softer tone to make it appear he changed his antagonistic ways. After a few weeks of that, he is right back where he was before, totally obnoxious. Destined not to end well.
  23. got my seats a year or so ago through the Sabres Insider email they sent out. I have been each time the tournament has come to town. It is a great time with an amazing atmosphere.
