  1. This has to be a joke post. Apples and Zebras. Saturday was the head coach and Mayock was GM of NFL franchises. Directly responsible for roster construction and on field performance week to week. Woj will be neither. I am quite sure his role will be centered around the NIL and making his beloved alma mater competitive in that arena despite having one of the smallest athletic budgets in Division I, bringing to bear his considerable connections to create opportunities for the players, both now and for future recruits. It is an absolutely brilliant move that is only possible with a school like SBU that develops lifelong love affairs with a significant percentage of its alumni. Could not be more excited about it.
  2. Was there with my Dad and I have always maintained that game was the loudest I have ever heard that stadium. I lost my voice for a week after that one. Great memories.
  3. Finished Obliterated and it was indeed Gonzo crazy. We liked it. Will never be mistaken for fine film making but it was very entertaining and had a lot of funny moments. Be forewarned, it is VERY raunchy so for those with children do not watch this if they are anywhere near the TV.
  4. Great as Dumbledore. My favorite movie of his was Layer Cake with Daniel Craig. Highly recommend. RIP.
  5. They bought a house in the city I believe
  6. One of the best crowds/games I've been to in many years. The place was packed and the students were loud the entire game. Electric atmosphere and a great win.
  7. Slow Horses is a gem. Gary Oldman is outstanding in everything he is in.
  8. Nice first quarter for the Vikes. A bigger pretender you will never find.
  9. She has to turn around and play her mixed doubles match at 3:30 today. That has to be tough, especially after a 3 set match. Very impressed with her development as a top flight pro. How could you not be?
  10. Way to go Mazie! So happy for you and your family. BTW, our beautiful Berner Annie lived to be 12 and survivrd two cancer surgeries. I wish a long and healthy life for your Mazie.
  11. In 1980 or so I was spending my Saturday night where I normally did, at the Continental Club down on Franklin Street in downtown Buffalo listening to some local punk band. The place was packed and it was hot and very loud. Sometime after midnight I look to my right and there was a short-ish guy with spiky blond hair standing next to me. I was pretty wasted by that time but managed to tell him "ya know, you look a lot like Billy Idol". Without missing a beat he replies "I am Billy Idol ya f**kin' idiot". Turns out they were turned back at the border on there way to Toronto so they decided to hit up the club.
  12. They called the NFL for advice and they said "Eh...just flip a coin"
  13. Casual Italian our favorite is Giacobbis on Allen Street. Very casual, food is delicious and the owners are very nice folks.
  14. Sounded good. Great story. So glad your son is OK.
