  1. Nevergiveup, On Monday, I misread the first post of your thread labeled "Post #1" and took that to mean that it was your first post ever. It was not. My bad. Your information was early and accurate. My apologies. Thanks for the info. Fansince61
  2. Nice thread. Interesting that it is your very first post.
  3. The Jets played really well. But the teams left in this tournament are light years ahead of the Jets.
  4. They also have the best offensive line in the AFC. It wasn't great quarterback play that got them here. It was great running and great defense.
  5. Is Mort smart? Maybe someone in Bristol should mention to him that Frazier IS STILL IN THE PLAYOFFS! There is nothing the Bills are anyone else can do about hiring him now.
  6. Here's the thing, CBS talent have producers doing most of the preparation for them. They don't live in New York, they fly in on Friday and get briefed for the weekend. It is a part time job. Cowher is not coming to Buffalo.
  7. At some point the national reporters will begin to investigate why this is. Something really stinks here. I suppose we are onto plan C now.
  8. LOL Put that coffee down!
  9. I wonder if he'll be pacing on the sidelines this weekend? You know, during round two of the playoffs? There is no comparison between the Buffalo job and the Dallas job. Jones is the GM, but the Coach has his say. And if the coach doesn't deliver he's gone. What do you think Jones would have done at the end of last season if he owned the Bills? I doubt he would have kept Jauron. The guy may have a terrible rep around here, but 31 of 31 current NFL coaches would rather work for him than Ralph.
  10. Just like Dallas, you get paid a ton more and you get ANY players you want. It's a lot different that making an average salary and having average players and then having the owner tell you who should be returning kids and starting at RB.
  11. Weeb did it 41 years ago and no one since. It may speak to their age, or their level of hunger, but regardless you can't change the fact (until some coach wins two superbowls with two teams). http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writ...ches/index.html That said, I'd still rather have a champion coach than not.
  12. It has got to be past your bed time.
  13. I agree, this guy is a special kind of leader. I think he goes in the first 15 and I think he will succeed in the NFL. Philip Rivers has lousy throwing mechanics, so did Bernie Kosar. Could his mechanics be off because he throws lefty?
  14. eastaurorapaperboys.com reports that it is in fact Hot Pockets. Gotta be true because they were the first to report that he was considering the Chicken.
  15. There is another side to that argument to consider. Those franchises are prone to bad decisions. The fact that the "woeful Rams and pathetic Lions" wouldn't hire him might just mean that they are PATHETIC and WOEFUL. The Bills passed on Orakpo. So he was rejected by the Bills. Does that mean he can't play?
  16. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tab...mp;d-447263-n=1 NFL.com ranks Bills defense at 19 overall.
  17. http://twitter.com/LoganInEA Credit to BBMessage board This is the guy from east aurora who broke the coaches getting fired. "Cowher OK with what the BIlls will offer Salary wise, but looking for commitment from RB for player budget."
  18. So.... what? you can't wait for your uncle to pass so your kids can enjoy his house, and your asking us if your a bad person. Well, yah, your a really bad person.
  19. Here's an overly optimistic thought: Maybe Cowher (or his agent) leaks this story to increase his leverage in negotiating with OBD. That way, if the Bills are his only option they still have to bring maximum cash to the negotiating table. (EDIT: Sorry phxbacker, didn't see you made essentially the same point while I was still typing.) or then again, maybe I'm asking Santa for a BB gun and he's bringing me a lump of coal.
  20. And Nix came here just before the 09 draft where we got Wood, Levitre, Byrd (pro-bowler). I'm pretty happy with this choice.
  21. This sounds right.
  22. Agree on the punting and kicking. Also: Solid interior offensive line. (we desparately need healthy tackles) Great defensive secondary.
  23. That Packers point has been made over an over. "The brilliant Packers put him on the practice squad." Great! The same brilliant Packer management team used a second round pick on him. They also tried to match Buffalo's offer because they didn't want to lose him. It takes a long time to develop a quarterback. The book on Brohm is far from written yet.
  24. The tie breaker is the ease of schedule. The easier the schedule, the worse the pick. We lose that one to most teams at 5-10.
