Well, it's finally here! The Buffalo Bills began the 2006 Training Camp at St. John Fisher College with 2 practice sessions. There was one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I was at the afternoon practice. The tempo was pretty slow as the players were just in their jerseys and shorts, no pads. So there wasn't much hitting. They worked on some individual drills, 7-on-7 drills, and a few 11-on-11 drills. The Quarterbacks split reps evenly for the day. The day started out with the players running a walk-thru without helmets. Then the players warmed up and split into their individual units. I was watching Takeo Spikes and the linebackers work with LB Coach Matt Sheldon. He was having the players practice getting around the linemen and he used garbage cans as the linemen. He even stood in there a few times and tried to block them. It was nice to see his energy. Coach Sheldon was talking to Takeo a few times and helping him work out so he didn't overdo it. On the other side of the field, the defensive lineman were doing some footwork and agility drills. I still believe that he will be cut after camp and I hope he does. Him on the team is not a good idea if JP wins the job, IMO.

Of course I'll be there. I took off Friday night so I can do both double sessions this weekend. I'll have my notes and photos up tomorrow afternoon or later.

I heard that the practice on Tuesday night 8/1 is limited to premium seat holders only and that wouldnt be me. So I was wondering if anyone here had any extras. I'm desperate and will give you a bunch of tickets to any of the other first 3 night practices or will try to get you an 8x10 signed by one of your favorite players. Let me know asap.

Good post! I was pissed when I saw that they took the computers away. I used them to write my article or at least post a few things ahead of time. But last year I couldnt. I cant wait to see what you have to say about camp. I too will be there taking notes, and photos, plus writing my articles on BillsZone.com I will be posting them here to keep u guys updated too.

I'm always there, I'll look for you. I'm pissed that they've eliminated practically all the double sessions. Those were always a good time, and you're right....so were the afternoon sessions. I found that the morning ones are usually pretty boring.

The latest rumor is that they are working on a deal with the NFL to bring NFL Network to Digital cable. But it will probably be on their sports package.

This will be my 7th straight camp and I bet I have logged more time than most people.

But they'll have some cool interviews with some of the players.
