  1. I couldn't agree more! Good post!
  2. Thanks, but I'm going there mainly for a friend's wedding. Plus I'm going to catch the Bills/Redskins pre-season game. The special teams drill interested me too. It started out with the PRs catching a punt, then tossing it right before they catch the 2nd one. Then they started trying to catch 1 while already holding onto the 2nd one. Maybe it has something to do with concentration or something? I don't know. But I wouldn't 2nd guess Bobby April ever.
  3. Thanks for sharing your notes. I love seeing the different things that people catch. You could have 10 different people there and they would have have some extra things in their notes. I'll have to start doing what you did and check out different positions and players on different days. Good idea!
  4. I'm planning to get there as much as I can. The night practices are tougher for me to do the reports though as I work right after. I will also be missing the whole 2nd week of August at camp as I'll be in Maryland for a vacation.
  5. Sweet! I don't what he was waiting for, but missing those 4 practices did not help him at all and what did he gain money wise? A couple million? Both Greer and James have impressed so far. So he's a little behind now.

  7. Here we go. It's now Day 2 of the Buffalo Bills Training Camp. Today was the final day of the two-a-day practices. I was there for the morning and it was a nice day outside with no rain. The players worked out in helmets and shorts, so it was a minimal contact day. They worked on a few special teams drills, including punt catching and blocking. The team also worked on the individual drills with their own units, 7-on-7 and of course the 11-on-11 full team drill. As always, the players started out by working with their individual units. Then they worked on some special teams drills. Bobby April had them split up into different groups. He had the punt returners practice catching the ball, while holding onto another ball. The players who participated in this drill were Roscoe Parrish, Fred Jackson, Josh Reed, Scott Mayle, and Jason Jones. Roscoe Parrish made some nice catches, as did Fred Jackson. On the other side of the field, the linemen worked on different blocking schemes for field goals. The kickers used soccer balls to practice extra points while the team worked on blocking. Brian Moorman worked with Ryan Neill on some long snapping. The special teams lasted about 10 minutes or so and then the players worked on some 7-on-7 drills as the linemen did blocking drills. Trent Edwards started the 7-on-7 passing drills with a 6-yard pass to Marshawn Lynch. He then found Derek Schouman for 8-yards. However on the next play, Edwards threw the ball right into Terrence McGee's hands, who got the easy interception. Edwards recovered from that by throwing a 5-yard pass to Josh Reed. He found Lee Evans open for 8-yards on the next play. Then Edwards hit Roscoe Parrish, but he dropped the ball. JP Losman came in and threw a 7-yard pass to Derek Fine. He tried to go deep on the next play, but George Wilson and Will James had solid coverage and knocked it down. Losman then threw a 5-yard pass to James Hardy, who also made a nice leaping catch on the next play for about 11-yards. JP finished the series with a 7-yard pass to Justin Jenkins............... 8. You don't need tickets, unless you go to the night practice. And you park at one of the high schools and take a shuttle bus, which costs $1 per person. Here's more info........ http://www.buffalobills.com/team/camp.html
  9. Wow! Those are awesome photos! You did a really good job. I'm also very jealous of your camera.....
  10. No problem. Oh and in case you guys didn't already know, you can click on the gallery link and then click on the individual photos for a bigger one. http://www.billszone.com/gallery2/v/2008_B...g_camp/7-25-08/
  11. Whoever is the genius that ended the contract with RTS as the shuttle bus service, should be fired! I hate riding school buses, they are so damn uncomfortable and don't have AC.
  12. ROFL! That's a good idea. The program is cheap, so it would fold nicely. The biggest problem with the buses is not the heat, but rather how tiny they are. I'm 6'4 and it's so uncomfortable trying to sit in those crappy seats.
  13. Glad you all enjoyed it. I'm up now and getting ready to head there shortly. I will go to the morning session today and will have notes later this afternoon.
  14. I hope he kicks ass. Good luck, Coy! You will definitely be missed in Buffalo on our special teams.
  15. It's finally here! The Buffalo Bills Training Camp has officially begun. There are two practices today, as it was the 1st of 2 double session practices. I was there for the afternoon. As usual, the players were not wearing any pads, as Dick Jauron likes to get them started with light contact drills when Training Camp opens. They worked on a few special teams drills, individual drills with their own units, 7-on-7 and of course the 11-on-11 full team drill. The team started out with the usual individual drills. The Quarterbacks worked on some passing drills, the receivers practice their routes and the tight ends and offensive linemen work on blocking. On the other side of the field, the defense split up into their individual units. The team worked on these drills for a little while until the horn sounded and then Bobby April called the special teams together. In midfield, he worked with the special teams unit on kickoff coverage. Seeing how many of the veteran leaders from the special teams unit is gone, Bobby April has a bit more work to do than usual. He was explaining where the lanes are and had them practice returning kicks. Following the special teams drill, the team worked on 7-on-7 passing drills, while the lines practiced blocking. Trent Edwards was very sharp as he completed his first 10 passes. He started out the day by hitting Derek Schouman for 5 yards. Then he found Lee Evans, who made a nice leaping catch for 10-yards. Next Trent hit Evans for 6-yards, followed by a nice pass to Evans again for 17-yards. He then threw a screen pass to Marshawn Lynch for 4-yards. Edwards finished the series with a pass to Josh Reed for 6-yards. JP Losman came in and went for the bomb right away. He threw a nice pass, but Roscoe Parrish dropped it. Losman then felt the pressure and threw it incomplete. Next, he hit Courtney Anderson for 8-yards. JP then went to James Hardy for 9-yards. CB Will James had good coverage on him and tackled him right away. Losman finished the series off with a screen to Xavier Omon for 3-yards..................... 16. Wow! I always thought I took a lot. I can't wait to see em.
  17. Next up....James Hardy and Leodis McKelvin! Get them in here and lock them up today, Mr. Overdorf!
  18. Sweet! I got my tickets.
  19. so do i. This one is pretty lame. It's just a bunch of tickets connected together. I always enjoyed the little book they were in. Nice keepsake item.
  20. LOL! I'm sure Rich wouldn't mind doing that.
  21. Yup, and I'm betting the other "home" throwback game is either the home opener or the Dolphins game.
  22. Another sign that the 2008 Buffalo Bills season is approaching, I opened up my mailbox today and found a Priority Mail package from the Buffalo Bills. My Season Tickets are here already! They look pretty sharp this year! They aren't in the usual booklet that we have been getting. It's kinda like a pamphlet, but it's still cool. Each ticket has a player at the top. The following players are on the tickets this year.... Bruce Smith, Aaron Schobel, Jason Peters, Marshawn Lynch, Lee Evans, Trent Edwards, Donte Whitner, Chris Kelsay.
  23. Thanks! I have gotten better at that. The ones I struggle with now are the night practices. There's too many of em. I prefer the early morning ones and the double sessions.
  24. I'm so excited. As a Rochesterian who lives somewhat close to training camp and works overnights, so my days are free....I can't wait until Training Camp. It's one of my favorite times of the year. Buffalo Bills players working hard to learn the new systems, the sounds of pads hitting into eachother and the shouting the players make when another one makes a big play, nice summer weather outside, meeting some of my favorite players at the fence after practice for autographs. Oh and of course meeting new Bills fans many familiar ones that I don't usually see except at camp. Good times! Good Times!
