  1. That's one problem with Roscoe. He's always a camp star. But I'm hoping this year is different and he's ready to become more of a force...
  2. Great news! I can't wait to see him at camp! Hopefully he's there tonight.
  3. That would be awesome. Although if you bought Sports Illustrated, I would prefer to be your photographer, as long as I can upgrade to one of those huge cameras that they use instead of my crappy Kodak.
  4. It's harder than you think. No, I don't have a sidekick. I love taking photos and try to take as many as I can, in between writing notes. I basically just jot down the player's number and who they are throwing too, whether it was a good pass, bad pass, good catch, bad catch, drop, or if the defensive player made a play and i jot down their number too. I'll admit one thing, I estimate on the yardage sometimes if it's farther down the field from my view. And I jot that down too. If I hear some people around me make a comment about a particular player that I was watching, I might also jot that down. Then when I get home, once I get time between working overnights and sleep...I take my notes and try to create it into a play-by-play for everyone who wasn't at camp to witness. I like to add pictures to make the paragraphs and take my own photos for that. That's one reason why I don't get a lot of photos of the action, like the receiver making the catch or the RB breaking a tackle, because I'm trying to spot where they end up before the whistle is blown. As for the special teams, they have those helmet covers for the players to wear when they simulate the opponent and are trying to practice against a scout team. It helps them to determine where the individidual players would go.
  5. I'm excited about Stupar and Nelson. They have both done a solid job catching the ball and if Nelson can learn to block better, he'll be a very good #1 TE. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
  6. Yeah, he's definitely caught my eye. I've liked him before, but after watching how many times he's caught the ball and seeing his blocking. I like what I see even more. Not really live tackling, more like live hitting. Sometimes, you hear the big pops of the pads, but they do blow the whistle immediately if someone is "hit" Me too. It was funny watching him do that to Jackson. Thanks for the compliments.
  7. I could see that too. He looks pretty damn big and he's fast too. I loved how he just bullrushed the linemen he faced.
  8. The defense is usually always ahead of the defense. But the offense doesn't look this bad.
  9. Here ya go. My report from Day 8 of Training Camp is finished. Hope ya enjoy it. If you have any questions or comments, go ahead and post them. I will try to reply to all.... CLICK HERE FOR MORE:
  10. Sorry....I've never been a big Trent fan...he reminds me too much of the QB that I hated, Rob Johnson. I do support him and have tried to like him. He's a nice guy and really good with the fans at camp, but I personally prefer to see more of a competition at camp and we aren't getting one. That's a shame.
  11. I think I'm going to start writing down whether they are playing against the starting defense or not... You are right...I don't know.
  12. My reports are generally just play by play...I'll have to get more detailed in them...but throws that he's been making are usually the checkdown ones. He has had guys open downfield a few times and threw it to the RB or TE instead. The offense has been operating efficiently, but it's still the same short passes. I don't remember stating that he's made more long passes for TDs...i'll have to go back to my reports and check it out. It doesn't help that Brohm only gets 1 day as the backup and then the next day getting hardly any reps. I'm not a Trent fan, never been one...but I will say this...it's obvious who Gailey wants to win the job, he's giving Trent more reps out of anyone else and this every other day crap is BS for the #2 spot, especially when Fitzpatrick has been as bad as he's been, IMO.
  13. That's actually not true. A lot of times, they have the starting defense mixed in with backups and play them against the #2 offense, or #3 offense. It really depends on what they are working on in the drills.
  14. That's exactly what I've seen. My friend who went to the night practice with me basically said that Trent looks like Trent. Still Captain Checkdown and he's gotten worse with how much he stares down the damn receivers.
  15. You are honestly better off getting autographs at the fence after practice, unless there is a couple stars in the tent. More players sign at the fence and they sometimes sign more than 1 thing.
  16. Great report! I had some things to do at home and also didn't want to melt in the hot, steamy day,..so I didn't go. I'm glad that someone went out in the sauna. Sounds like the DL keeps improving. Glad to hear. How did Chris Ellis look? I've been watching him quite a bit lately.
  17. Sorry about that. I was busy Sunday and didn't go. Monday I went, but I didn't get a chance to write up a report because of work...and yesterday,..I'll admit, it was too hot and humid for me. I skipped it. I am going Wed night and Thurs afternoon. I will have a report and photos from both practices and most likely Fri night and Sat afternoon too.
  18. Wow, that's a nice quote. Each day, I'm loving Chan Gailey even more. He seems like the best coach we have had in years. Finally, we have a football coach instead of just a relaxed guy that oversees.
  19. Wow! Thank you very much for the compliments. That means a lot. I do enjoy going to camp and taking photos, but I really do the reports for the people who can't be there. I would hate not going and not being able to get a more detailed look on what actually happened at camp instead of just the few blurbs/highlights from Chris Brown. Although I will say, they have gotten much better on BB.com than a few years ago when they didn't even really talk about what happened at camp. It's nice that they give the videos and talk about the big plays each day.
  20. I needed a day off to catch up on sleep and some stuff around the house, so I'm glad you were there to share your thoughts. Thank you very much. Good read, except in the little bit I've seen from the LBs...I'll disagree. I love what I've seen from Reggie Torbor. He might be a steal. I also like Maybin as an OLB. as for Mitchell...I think he'll be a surprise cut. Poz is a solid player and will fit in perfectly at ILB. Batten has also impressed me with some of his plays. I also like Andre Davis and see him taking Mitchell's spot on the team.
  21. He was a very good punt returner is college, but it's still Roscoe Parrish's job. He excelled at it before that horrible game where he was yanked off PRs.
  22. Most of the time at camp, Edwards waits until the receiver is stopped and looking at him. I was pleasantly surprised when he hit Evans in stride. I hope it continues.
