  1. hoping that there is no football next year is just silly. Just silly.
  2. I have this mental block with Andew Luck because he is from stanford. having another stanford QB on our roster just makes me nervous. I really honestly feel that this is a front office that would draft a wideout as our first pick.... I know we need a WR, but we of course have bigger needs (QB/pass rush). So that is what I am fearing, we draft a reciever with no QB to throw to him... unless we get a dececnt QB in round 2. But something tells me we get a reciever.... who is a playmaker.... who returns punts...
  3. Well, I don't know where you got your numbers from, but Spiller started in week 1.... and troup seems to get more snaps than Kyle... so, you are a little off with your "0" number.
  4. I thought Sully would be happy with the way the bills are playing. Isn't he the one that wanted us to bottom out?
  5. The thing about spiller is, he doesn't get anywhere close to the touches that Best and Mathews get... the coaching staff is saying they want to work him in slowly, but they better get him in there a little quicker. Gailey said it himself, this offense needs a spark. Though I think it would have been better to draft a pass rusher in the 1st round.
  6. Bell has improved a lot. I am hoping he keeps on improving. That would fill a huge need for us. Green still isn't working out for us. And it is looking more like we are going to need a new center as well, though I need to watch more how the season turns out.
  7. I am thinking he just retires. I don't think he was keen on playing football for a long time any ways.
  8. Fixed. There are so many realistic goals for this team, it isn't hard. I mean, we can't turn this team into a top ten team easy, but improving at least a little bit shouldn't be hard. As far as firing modrak, I agree with it very much. I have a question though, if someone in that position gets fired, when is it they would usually get canned? Right now you would think that it would be the busy season looking at players in the college games.... so firing him now doesn't seem to be realistic, if that is the case. Though that is something I really don't know about.... our drafting, mainly in the high rounds, has sucked. We made too many mistakes with whitner, losman, maybin, etc. We obviously have to draft better. Firing modrak and bringing in a better evaluater would be great...and I am sure nix (or whaley) would know someone better that they could bring in.... which is our only hope. Because no one who is actually good would come to buffalo just for the hell of it. They would have to come here because they actually respected/worked with Nix before.
  9. If he said that, I would crown him as the best coach ever. Someone from the bills saying that would just be glorious.
  10. WHAT we really should do is just bench all the starters, even the good ones for just one game. Have them sit on that bench and make them watch the worst 60 minutes of football they have ever seen, the way the fans see it. It doesn't matter if they watch the film to see how bad they are, they should watch the whole thing from the bench just to understand what the fans go through every week.
  11. They are saying he is still the starter....
  12. Especially on the Bills. Ralph wilson stadium is like a graveyard for football careers.
  13. I agree with this assesment. Especially with Greg Williams... the guy made our defense a stud, but as an HC he was just horrific. there are so many great coordinators that shouldn't be a HC (see wade philips). Anthony Hargrove should have been obvious, more obvious than Greer but people don't reconize it as often. When hargrove was suspended, our defense looked a lot worse, and when he came back, we played a lot better. Ridding him was one of Marv's "character" moves, which hurt our team talent wise. Personally, I would have liked to have kept Greer and drafted someone else instead of mcckelvin, just because DBs is one position that doesn't need any attention... but I will admit, mcckelvin is getting better and better, and he is definently an upgrade over greer.... just sucks that so many other positions are very weak. As far as incognito, I wasn't a huge fan like others here.... and I really didn't want him starting at guard when we had wood/levitre. But I did wish the bills signed his tender and kept him, at least for depth purposes because we lacked depth badly. And I wish we did it more now seeing incognito playing pretty well for a division rival. He looked good in that vikings game.
  14. The ravens wanted him back, but were worried about his health. And our doctors (who can walk on water since they got Everett walking again) said he was fine. Edwards was one of the bigger name free agents. If it wasn't for his health, he would have signed with another team for twice as much.... and so far, the man looks damn healthy. So I don't know what you are talking about.... he has the talent, he just has to prove his health isn't an issue.
  15. Someone mentioned hasslebeck the other day.... if we could get him somehow, I like that option more than others.
  16. Agreed. I think the jury is still out on Edwards. Not his talent, but his health. A lot of teams were too concerned with his health... so if he proves after one year that health isn't an issue, a lot of those teams are going to be kicking themselves for not signing him when they had the chance, becuase he is a pretty good talent.
  17. It is different because they need a QB, and we don't haha, I can't even type it without laughing
  18. Also, the bills aren't the only team shopping an RB. Giants are shopping Jacobs. That might change the RB market for us when/if we are attempting a marshawn trade. Watch Jacobs go to GB for a 2nd round, just to piss us all off.
  19. The only thing they are missing is OLB (which is very important) and them ignoring it is probably almost as bad as ignoring the oline/QB. And this was probably easier to fix. They didn't have to get a dansby player... but a stop gap like jason taylor wouldn't have been bad. But the bills have enough players for the 3-4 to play that sceme. We have a NT in troup who is perfect for the 3-4, dwan edwards as DE who has played 3-4 before, and Davis who is a 3-4 inside LB. Poz is fine, but not stellar as an ILB (in any scheme). and So far, stroud seems to have made the switch to DE pretty well. And maybin has a better shot at OLB in 3-4 than he does at DE in 4-3 The only thing this team is lacking is depth at ILB and starting OLBs. If we had OLB that could give a pass rush, this defense would be pretty damn good. It is a shame, because even with a really good secondary, they aren't going to look as good. You can throw against a good secondary pretty easy when you have all day to throw. The only thing as starters we are missing for the 3-4 is really the OLB... which is important. But I think we have more players for the 3-4 than we do the 4-3. The 4-3 isn't bad, but the way the bills did it wasn't right. That is why people were able to run the ball down our throats like it was nothing.
  20. Try telling that to the ravens.... though I agree, there were other needs that needed attention.
