Most of the players they are talking about are 1st round picks (inlcuding spiller)... with a handful of mid picks. These two look like rookies. Can't hate the guys for that. Just hope they actually improve. It isn't like we don't have any good rookies.... we got Nelson and Spiller who have both contributed plenty. Unfortunatly, the team is just bad.

I like Poz and Davis, but we really need an upgrade at LB, especially on the outside. And we need a DE to replace stroud, who hasn't done enough. Hopefully carrington can develop into something special. I still like our secodary and I like Williams/edwards a lot.... but our ILB are average and our OLB are just terrible. I wouldn't mind keeping someone like Coleman as a project, but there needs to be some REAL players there.

Unless we can rush him, I say we won't get as many interceptions on him as we did last year. But I am sure we keep him in check on the big play. It is keller we have to watch out for.... keller might just embarress our LBs even more, if that's possible.

The only time I saw him speak was when he was first hired I think... but coordinators don't usually speak at interviews in general... no rule against it though.

I would def take one of the top QBs from this draft over what we have already. And we better, because we really need a QB of the future that has "it." Howhever, I don't think any of these QBs will be taken 1st overall... and I don't think we are going to even need a top 3 pick to get the "best" one.

I don't think it is as much the money as much as what it means. It is almost like a vote of confidence that they are going to keep him there as a starter... though that is VERY tentative. Like the jauron deal, it didn't keep jauron here. But it still seems like a vote of confidence at probably the weakest unit on the defensive side of the ball. There is so much of this team that still isn't working yet, and it is pretty damn hard to take the growing pains by this new front office with so much failure from the previous ones. I am really hoping they have an offseason that really takes stride this coming season. But I agree with you, anyone that is upset that the bills are spending money is insane. That isn't exactly money that can do any better than getting a stop gap player... and it isn't coming out of the fans pockets. I say the bills should keep practicing spending money... and hopefully start actually paying bigger bucks for real players.

Best is also very injury prone. I will be surprised if he finishes the season. Once Spiller gets more touches, the guy is going to be great. Even better when he get a real QB in there. I know we didn't need another RB, but spiller also fills in at Reciever... and we did need a reciever. This guy is a game changer. And from the looks of it, he seems like he will be loyal to the team as well and not jump ship.

Carrington probably wont start, but I am betting he will actually be active for the game. I would like to see how he fairs in his first real game. And I am hoping that the reason why our rookies aren't playing much is because they are taking their time to "mentor and teach" them. Because if they aren't getting snaps because they just suck.... then that sucks. But if they are taking time to train and mentor them, then I am all for it. After Levy's first draft we had a lot of rookies starting.... and so much of that draft ended in failure. So if we have to be patient with these rookies and not throw them into the fire right away, I won't mind as long as they turn into decent starters in the future. Agreed.

I personally wouldn't mind extending Kelsay and keep him for depth in the next four years... but signing him to THAT kind of contract is just too much. And him being a starter is too much. One thing is for certain, our linebackers are KILLING the offense. They better sign at least 1 decent OLB that can rush the passer.

Spiller is obviously the most talented and our most dangerous offensive guy. But he is not an every down player. Lynch is a work horse, a hard runner, and productive. If lynch wasn't such a dancer, he would be elite. Jackson... he is a really cool guy who is past his prime, but still has some left in the tank.

I don't want to take anything away from the offensive line, because they did play well at this game, but I haven't seen wilfork play all that well in the other games this season either. I guess his payday put him in relaxed mode.

It is way too early to call out George Edwards. The reason we can't blitz is obvious, schobol was our best and he is gone. It is the talent, not Edwards. And saying Fewell was a problem last year is just insane now that he is with the giants, a "good" organization. Fewell was not one of the problems last year. I wouldn't blitz that much with these LBs either.

I am pretty sure both Scott and Wire are spot on with this. I am hoping things are and will get better with Nix/Whaley.... they are both coming from winning organizations. Nix from the chargers and Whaley from the steelers. I say they will make this organization much improved from the last 10 years.... but that isn't saying much. A new owner is what we need.... I just hope that Jimbo is telling the truth and this group of his is real. If he is blowing smoke, then a lot of un-fun things can happen.

Watching the GB game tonight, they REALLY need a running back right now. Their run game is non existant. I am sure they don't stick with the QBs they have for the rest of the year. I wouldn't mind trading jackson... but for a 6th round pick is just silly. anything less than a 3rd is highway robbery. on a lot of teams he would be a starter.... worth way more than a 6th rounder.

Trent is a nice guy, and very talented. But when he is in game mode, he is just garbage and has no confidence.... especially against 3-4 teams.

Well, they sure aint good! The pats* might have a great offense, but their defense is going to drag them down. I don't think they take the division this year.
