[closed]Bills Fourth Round Picks
DanInUticaTampa replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just saying the bills could end up with a better player than lynch. There are plenty of good 4th round picks made every year that turn out better than lynch. So saying that the bills can't get value with a 4th round pick is just as stupid as saying that we will get a better player. No one knows what will happen and anyone here that claims they are psychic and they know what player we are drafting with this pick is just insane. You or I don't know what is going to happen with this draft pick. For all you know this could turn our 2nd rounder into a 1st rounder.... and THAT player could very well be more useful than lynch, at a postion that is MUCH harder to fill. There are so many options with this, saying you know which the bills will take is being silly. Seriously. Put down the magic 8 ball and take off your tin foil hat. You don't know if this is a good trade or not until you see the results of it. I personally wouldn't have traded him for less than a 3rd, but I am not going to say I know how this draft pick will turn out. And all the people that hate this trade would feel pretty dumb if lynch gets arrested again and misses a whole season. And to top it off, New England trades their 1st round running back, and all they get is to move up a couple rounds to the 5th and they are geniuses. We actually get a 4th rounder, and we are idiots. The hypocysy is great! -

Can't be angry at Galey yet
DanInUticaTampa replied to offyourocker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not for the money we paid dockery/walker. The money dockery got was just insane. The one time wilson spent money, and it was a huge blunder. At least when green is finally gone, it wasn't such a costly mistake that it set us back. Green signing obviously didn't work, but was nowhere as stupid as making dockery one of the highest paid players on the team. -
W/L records are unfair to judge a OC on. You have to look at the offenses themselves to come to a real conclusion.

Can't be angry at Galey yet
DanInUticaTampa replied to offyourocker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He owes something to the fans if he wants to keep them. The fans walking out should have been a big red flag that sooner or later, probably sooner, games will get blacked out. Though I am not sure big spending will change much.... but I would really like if they made more signings like edwards/davis. Replaceing the bad players with at least decent players would help. There are too many players on this team that don't belong in the NFL. I would like the bills to spend more money, but I also want them to spend the money on players that are worth it. The kelsey deal doesn't bode well for that. But I will take the edwards/davis signings over dockery/walker any day. -

K.Williams - most under rated player in the NFL
DanInUticaTampa replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like him a lot. Our dline is looking decent with him and edwards... stroud is unfortunatly not being consistant and our LBs are struggleing. It sucks that so much of this team needs work. All the crappy players on this team are holding our good players like williams back. -
Does this front office know how to make a trade?
DanInUticaTampa replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are plenty of great NFL teams that rarely trade. it is not a must to run an organization. However, I would like to see more action at changing the roster than the minor changes they have been making. -
Wrotto promoted, Meredith waved

At this point, different is better. -
Oh, that's easy. Like WIlson, jones is a meddler and hates to admit when he is wrong. I am shocked that he even admitted it all, even if it is like 20 years later.

I like those signings as well. MUCH better than the Levy signings of walker and dockery. I just wish they made a couple more of those. I really like Whaley, and hope not that he has been here awhile, he can convince the organization to make a bigger push this offseason as far as FA goes. I think he had a lot to do with the Ubrick pick up. Whaley as assistant GM to me is the most hopeful thing. Someone from the outside, winning organization. He still has a lot to prove, but to me it was good sign to promote some one like him rather than someone internally.

Jim Rome is mocking the Bills
DanInUticaTampa replied to ET1062's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nothing is official because of jim rome. Bills were the laughing stock before jim rome mocked us. he is just a prick that is laughing with the "it" crowd to feel like he belongs. -
Love these mature posts. Overall, I agree with your point. Fans who think they know more than Nix and Gailey are being ridiculous. I do feel with Nix/Whaley our front office is greatly improved. And I do feel Gailey is better than Jauron. I know it will take more than 1 season to right this ship. But what worries me most, is modrak. Our biggest problem on this team is drafting players like hardy, maybin, whitner, kelsey, losman, etc. Those players cost us high draft picks and did not return the value. I personally think that mostly falls on modrak, and I would have liked a replacement for him from a decent franchise. Him still being here worries me that we might screw up another rebuilding project. And even though I like Nix and Gailey, and I think they are an improvement, I have my doubts about them. I just hope somthing happens this offseason. I am not saying I want a big splash this offseason that makes headlines, I just want an offseason that cleans up this roster more than the last offseason.

saying he was a "sham" and a "failure" in dallas is stretching it a lot. Yeah, a lot of coaches got more out of those players than he did, but chan had them after their prime. The truth is, Chan isn't a great coach. But he had a better record coming into buffalo than jauron did. And Cowher himself endores chan over and over. As an HC in the nfl, chan actually had a winning record. That doesn't reek of failure. It reeks of medicrocy at worst. I really don't mind chan as an HC. I just wish he was able to attract better assistants.

That is only if ralph last another 10 years... which I highly doubt it. Once we get a new owner (and hopefully keeps the team in buffalo) I believe this team will look better instantly. I have been seeing it a lot on many sports teams. A new owner changes everything, no matter what sport. The bucs are terrible, then they get a new owner and in a few years they win a superbowl. The tampa rays, bottom dwellers, get a new owner, end up in the world series. Just gotta hope the new owner wants to win and keeps the team in buffalo.

Perfect example that shows Buffalo's biggest need
DanInUticaTampa replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB play absolutly has hurt Evans a lot. But today, it was def more evans fault than fitz. And the rest of it was he was pretty well covered. I was surprised to see Evans kinda (but not very hard) fight for the ball once. Evans is a VERY good #2 WR and our best WR. all those People who want to cut him are being unreasonable. Cut donald and replace him with a true #1 WR... then you get some real production. You don't fix a unit by replacing the best player in it, you replace the weakest player. There is so much dead weight on this team holding it down... instead of cutting the weakest players, everyone wants to cut the good players just because they are underperforming. Replace the weakest players. Replacing the weakest players will give you the biggest improvement. -

DanInUticaTampa replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cards lost more than Warner. They lost Dansby and Boldin as well. They basically lost 3 great players in one year. -
cutler got sacked like 10-12 times... I guess our oline isn't the only bad one.... too bad oline isn't our only worry.
-
Well..... Tony Romo: 2003 UFA Kyle Orton 2005 4th round There will always be matt hasslebecks and Mark Warners around.... Though I do agree we should draft a QB in the 1st round because we will have better luck. But I also don't want to ignore the later QBs that have potential as well. Until we have a bonifide starter at QB, we should draft a QB in every draft I think.
-
To be fair, that was an upgrade over what we did have. But that isn't saying much. This organization needed a lot more than the Nix/Whaley combo... needed modrak out and probably some scouts. And I still don't mind the Gailey hiring... I just wish some of the assistant coaches were more impressive. They are the real disappointment.

If you don't like it, then don't buy it. There is really is no answer from a fan perspective. The team will suck whether the stadium is packed or not. All you people that think if no one is in the stadium and the game is blacked out will suddenly make the team good are being ridiclous. Even if no one in buffalo sees the game, the bills will STILL suck. I don't know what logic you guys are using where if you don't show up to the game, it will make the team better. It doesn't matter either way, with the exception being the 12th man on the field, which in minor unless it is 3rd down. But yeah, just because you close your eyes and you don't see them suck, they still suck. And just because there are no fans in the stadium, that does not mean Raplh, chan, and nix are going to say "uh-oh! fans are mad! We better actually play well this week!" give me a break.

I think Chan just put Edwards on the hot seat!
DanInUticaTampa replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone has to be. We already sacrificed Trent. Modrak will hopefully be next.
