  1. The bills and browns played VERY different teams this year.... that is not a good comparison.
  2. omg, no OT until the 4th???? HANG HIM! But I do like all the players suggested.
  3. A lot of interesting stuff there. That is great if he is able to keep the bills in Western NY. The clock is surly ticking on what is going to happen with this. It could be any day now, or 3-4 years from now.
  4. I agree with pretty much everything here. The defense just can't make a stop. We have a great secondary, but without a pass rush it is useless. And as for stopping the run, forget about it. We are a little bit better against the run when Davis is in there, but overall, that defense is just a mess and from the looks of it, completly unorganized. I didn't have a big issue with edwards (with him getting offered DC job in florida showed he had some decent ability) but I put a lot of this on him, and not just the talent. It looks very unorganized. But as far as the offense goes, I agree with the posters that say we need to run the ball more. I know it is a passing league, but us failing to run the ball just shows we don't control the LOS. It is very interesting to me, because gailey is basically known for running the ball and throwing rarely.... so this looks very different than what I was expecting.
  5. This offense has scored more points in the first 5 games this season than they did the first five games they did last season.... and last season for those 5 games, some included the bucs and browns.... the offense is improved as far as points go. We seem to be much better in the redzone now. The offense still sucks, and needs a lot of work if it is going to ever compete in the division though. The sad thing is, the defense needs even more work.
  6. I knew they wouldn't be competitive this year.... but I am surprised it looks like we are going to bottom out and be lucky to win a game. Every year, the pundits pick us last in the nfl.... and somehow we manage at least 6 wins and 6 teams playing worse than us. This time though... it looks like the pundits are FINALLY right.
  7. I agree pretty much with this. But I wouldn't mind at all having him as a backup. And to a certain point, I think I wouldn't mind him starting next year while we work in a rookie QB.
  8. I think that stuff is pretty obvious and a lot of us knew that. Especially after the pats* game people here were saying that their defense was just terrible and that is why the offense looked decent. Though as for the jests game, most of that was on the recievers I think (and the defense of course). Fitz threw some nice balls, but a lot were dropped. Fitz is def a better fit than edwards in there.... but we also need a franchise QB. But I think many people here already took the defenses we played into consideration awhile ago. Especially at the Pats* game.
  9. way too early to fire him. espectially when his monay is guarenteed.
  10. hahaha. Going to wave a cardboard sign "need tix, yo"
  11. He was also assistant GM. And he resigned from there on his own free will. Really, it seems like you have a bigger issue with his age than his ability. There are a number of reasons why he wouldn't get a GM job until now... if you don't know that, then you must have never worked in an executive setting. Big business is VERY political, and a lot of friendships, conections, and other issues come into play in the business world. The "best guy" doesn't always get the job. I am not a huge nix fan, but when you rag on the guy and end it with his age, that is just foolishness. There was what? 2 people out there with GM experience? And one of them was bruce allen? I have no hate for Allen, but no love for him either. Dungy was more helpful with the bucs than he was... following the bucs down here, allen made more mistakes than a GM should. There aren't that many people with GM experience. The next best thing is assistant GM experience. Which nix has. Nix is not "just a scout" like you claim.
  12. That really is a great read. I like how he did trust other people in the war room and listened, but when it came to using a top pick on a QB, he was firm on that decision because it was so important and he put the most time into it. I very much recomend that book to everyone. You don't have to be a giants fan for it to be very enlightning.
  13. Love the video. Actually glad to have this guy on the team, even if he is only a depth guy at our weakest postion. This certainly shows he has value from experience alone... and he seems pretty genuine. We really need to replace more players, even if it is latteral moves talent wise just to get winning attitudes in here. Him going on about attitude being an issue shows that a lot of us were right. losing has become a habit and the attitude needs to change.
  14. Which is A LOT more than maybin has in more than a whole season. Spiller has scored us a lot of points. But this team needs a lot of work. Spiller is also being used a lot as a reciever rather than just a tailback. Agreed. It is easy to say the other guys didn't do their job.... but if troupe, carrington, and future picks don't perform, they will either have to be in denial and keep the players on the roster or just say "we screwed up." I am guessing they would keep dead weight on the roster if it is their dead weight.... but that is a premature guess.
  15. hahahahaha, in your silly world, is penn state located in the south east too? Because those are the players buddy actually scouted. Yeah, that is SOME spin. Especially when Buddy goes on to say that players that are top ten picks should be able to contribute immediatly and shouldn't be projects and linemen should be big and strong over speed, players that are good for more than one year, yeah, maybin has buddy written all over it. Maybe they moved Penn state to the dirty south. But I didn't hear anything. Your bias is just terrible. There are so many things to rag on nix and the bills for and you pick the one thing that doesn't add up. **Edit** people already brought it up.
  16. Wait? So what you are saying is if we draft a QB in the 1st round, we have a higher chance of getting a franchise QB? Isn't that a little..... obvious?
  17. I never heard them say that the oline was the most important thing to fix. never.
  18. Branch can be better than Moss when moss is dogging it. They are probably better off with Branch because the negative moss has been creeping around latley.
  19. Yeah, that's what we need. Another RB. Maybe we can trade for one on the seahawks? Also, you are basically saying "just replace 14 of the 22 starters and you are fine!" yeah, replacing 14 players is pretty easy, aint it?
  20. Thanks. Something about the Bills actually worth reading.
  21. Sweet, hopefully this means we get a top QB. Even though Fitz is looking good right now, I still want an upgrade at QB. They better be looking at pass rushers and linebackers as well....
