  1. I'm not gonna lie, this bothers me about spiller: Hopefully these types of mistakes get worked out soon.
  2. Risking going to IR in preseason is not THAT bad of a thing. I mean, if he goes on IR, there is always next year, right?
  3. Did you miss when most of the starting front 7 left the game? the only starters on D that stayed more than 2 series' were the dbacks. Merriman was only in there for 9-10 snaps all together I think. The bears offense did have two decent plays against the 1st string defense. But that was about it.
  4. Exactly. tight end is obviously ugly for us, but oline depth and offensive tackle in general are way more pressing needs than tight end.
  5. a lot of people want to rag on spiller becuase, well, he did next to nothing last year. But I would add him to that list. He looked good today. And wood looks like he will be a great center. And of course, I would add dareus and kyle williams to the list as well. they are going to be a force.
  6. from the game, there are some nice surprises in there. But there is a lot more that scares me. Hopefully more things come together before the season starts. and hopefully there are no major injuries. And our d would look pretty badass if we can keep merriman healthy and get upgrade some of the other LB positions. And chandler looks like a nice surprise. at least for me. maybin, wang, and davis need to go. This might not be a good team, but it isnt bad enough to have players like that on it. worst part for me is that easely didn't do anything to make me feel better. and I really hope fitz doesn't get injured, because thigpen starting for us would be yucky. Overall, I think they will look a lot better than last year, and their record will show it. They just have to stay healthy and tighten the screws. And hopefully, next offseason, they actually address OT and LB.
  7. god help us if we lose our starters. Our depth is a joke.
  8. He looks good against the 2nd stringers. if he does that to brady, then give the man the key to the city.
  9. Agreed on all counts. Especially with bell. Bell isn't much more than a good back up right now. I didn't rag on him much last year because he showed improvement at quite a few times. But if he plays the same as he did last year, they really need to replace him. If he improves more over last year, I might just shrug it off. Now right tackle...... now there is the obvious glaring issue that is going to have us banging our heads all season.
  10. Clements shouldn't be on that list. And I would only have spikes on there, because with our LBs, he would be an upgrade.
  11. Hopefully after maybin gets cut, these threads will stop getting made every week. Maybin as a wr? the guy has never run a route in his life, hasn't even attempted to catch a football in college or the pros.... and people want to cut one of our good WR prospects just becasue maybin's size matches with a wr? But this thread about him being a tightend is crazy talk. He can't tackle a QB, so logic says he can block and protect a QB? People are crazy. How about we do something unthinkable. How about we play players based on talent and not just on their size.
  12. TBD also exist to second guess posters' silly comments. There are a lot of bad things to say about this team, coaches, front office, owner, etc. But calling them "pu$$ys" with "$s" because they got the typical camp injuries is more than just a silly comment. It is a straight up face palm moment. seriously, even a rookie fan who knows little about football would know that if a player strains a muscle he isn't going to be in whatever serious scenario he had in his head.
  13. so far, nothing more noticable than any other year. I am sure after the first week of preseason games, we will have a better idea how much it affected them. I would think it would mostly be rookies that will fall to injuries more.
  14. I'll read it, like I do every week. I usually don't agree with him, especially when he gets talking about the pats*. but having one of the team's more harsh critics say some good things about them is good. But he has had a lot man-love for kyle williams awhile now. Cant wait to see what the dareus/williams combo can do.
  15. They are all typical injuries you would see in training camp on any team, except for Nelson's. His is a little off. It isn't anything unusual and the other teams' have it just as bad, if not worse. We are lucky nothing season ending, yet. If dareus was walking around in a boot after foot surgury like fairly, then I would be a lot more worried. This is really a non issue. I think the most one of the players will miss is two weeks, so far.
  16. yeah, a couple years ago when we went 4-2 in our division, we totally rocked. I mean, we swept the jets AND the phins! pretty awesome. But in all seriousness, this team isn't going to suck. But it has mediocracy written all over it. Unless the rookies develop faster than expected, this team won't be good until they plug in some more holes and develop the younger players more. And another note on the division, jets and pats* may be pretty good, but the phins are nothing to be scared of. At all. And I would bet good money that if our run defense greatly improves, we will beat either the pats* or the jests once this year, at least. But if the run defense still sucks, or doesn't improve much, they are probably going to sweep us. jauron? You want even MORE dbs? I just find it hilarious you had to explain who he is. That is like, "man, we should have drafted tom brady (you know, that pats* QB?) when we had the chance!" Should have signed Michael vick (ex falcons QB that kills dogs that is tearing it up in philly) too!
  17. that game, the starters won't play much anyway. probably a series or two. T is obviously a glaring issue with this team as well as linebacker. We have to hope whoever we have in there stays healthy or rookies step up.
  18. A lot of people said a lot of things after every player was drafted. Sheppard seemed to get a lot of praise. I really only like him mostly for his attitude. Seeing him rile up LSU's team was pretty fun. Not sure if he will be a starter or not, but I would be surprised if he becomes a starter this year, and looks good. But I would bet good money he starts at least 2 games this year, due to injuries. I like the guy a lot, but you never know with these players how they are going to produce on the field until they play.
  19. haha "if you saw and watched these guys, we got bigger. So, I mean, whether we can play or not, but we got bigger" so silly. Sad that I still love this team and will see every bills game this season.
  20. I was one of those 35 people. Pretty bummed I didn't get the gig
  21. I personally would start Hangartner at G over Ubrik. Has more experience and is overall pretty stable. Ubrik, for showing some flashes, is still a bit of an unkown at this point, as far as what is potential is.
  22. don't mind shopping evans at this point. Especially if we get a good vet at another position of need like T or LB. but I wouldn't go any lower than a 4th. And to be honest, we probably couldn't get a 5th. There are too many wide receivers in free agency, that no one is going to really need him. if there weren't so many recievers in free agency, the best we could get is probably a 5th.
