This is pretty odd hiring these before the OC. Since they still don't have an OC in place, I still think they want to hire someone from one of the playoff teams and aren't saying anything to avoid getting in any trouble.

Last idiiot we had with a strong arm was Losman. Losman had a cannon of an arm, but dumber than a box of rocks.

This is my thoughts right now. Especially with a muddy QB situation, we need something good on the offensive side

since nothing has leaked yet, i am wondering if the oc is going to come from one of the playoff teams

might depend on the team/division. i wouldnt be surprised if they blocked him from going to a division rival, but wouldnt mind him going to another conference to a team they only see in preseason

Mcdermott filled out an application to be the new Billy Buffalo. The bills brought him in for an interview and when Mcdermott got there they informed him they just filled the position. As Mcdermott started to walk away in despair, out comes Terry Pegula, frantically exclaiming "He put me on the spot! I had to fire him! now what will I do next season?!" And terry looked over to Mcdermott and asked "you there, do you prefer the 4-3 or the 3-4?" and the rest is history.

Although I would agree with this, his terrible defense was a huge reason lovie smith got fired in tampa

Of course, being the bills, we have to introduce the guy on Friday the 13th. Might as well have the guy walk under a ladder and open an umbrella indoors. The curse is real people, be afraid!

At this point, I think we only can grab mccoy if he takes the money, because pegulas will gladly throw money at these coaches.

Injuries aside, there was just so much going wrong with the defense that was clearly a coaching issue. If your defense fields only 10 guys multiple times, something is wrong with coaching. that mistake shouldn't happen at all, and if it happens more than once, that is definitely coaching. Those mistakes shouldn't be happening with you are closing out the 2nd season in this system

I like Watkins a lot and it is a shame he cant stay healthy. With that said, he isn't a bust, but I think at this point he would have to be seen as a reach. 2 first rounders given up for him, (QB issues aside) and evans and OBJ (and arguably others) picked after him have been more productive. Not saying he is a bust, but I don't think he was worth what we gave up, which I guess is a reach. If he can somehow stay healthy, he will help this team get on the right track. huge if at this point

While I agree that there is something not right and a very sketchy about whaley, I don't think he wants Lynn as the next HC like a lot of us were thinking. listening to this press conference, I don't think Lynn wants to be here and I am just not seeing a lot of support from the front office publicly for him. I think our HC comes from the outside.

I honestly think EJ's worse game was the bucs game. it was even worse than the jags. At least with the jags game we had a chance to win later on

Well, to be fair I wouldn't expect a backup safety, QB, or WR to ever "dominate." If they dominated a game, they would be starters, not backups. And the Jeff Tuel thing was before he was GM. But yeah, lack of depth on this team is pretty bad. Right now it is at its worst at the safety and Oline in my opinion. you could probably argue QB too, but I don't think it is that bad.

Ragland can't cover, but he can rush the passer. So he does have a purpose on third down which is pressuring QBs. People saying he can only be used on 2 downs don't know his full skillset

I think it was more of a gailey thing than a fitz thing

Im surprised to see a buffalo news guy not putting Cassel's name on there. But we know deep down they are hoping cassel gets traded back to buffalo

it must be the boring part of the off season but i never knew the pats didnt use numbered jerseys during otas and minicamp. I dont see this being a game changer, but i can see this being needed to monitor certain players

Getting one of them would be great, especially with woods possibly not returning next year. WR to me isnt such a pressing need this season. We hardly throw the ball, and we already have sammy, woods, clay, and mccoy eating up most of those receptions. there really isn't much room for the ball to be thrown around. But because of injuries, and possibly woods departing, we need some new young WR blood to groom for depth. Easley isn't really a WR as much as a ST guy. plus his injury was.... ya know. And if I had to pick, I would take cooper.

His pass rushing abilitly will help keep him on 3rd down. His cover skills appear to be fairly weak, though he has good instincts which can help. But I think on third down they are going to use him to rush the passer

I doubt he will do it for cook. Our 4th rounder can't be traded. so our pick at the bottom of the third plus whatever to get a 4th rounder doesn't seem likely. Even if you trade a 4th next year (which we don't have), plus our 5th this year wouldn't be enough. I think they stay pat in the 4th round. possibly trade up in the 5th if there is someone they really like. Ragland was worth trading up for imo, even if the picks weren't totally worth what others were doing. he was a first round talent and instantly fixes are run defense
