  1. Well, if "they" said it online, then it must be true
  2. The cowboys defense that had a ton of top talent?
  3. I am not saying you are wrong, but I think it is pointless to tear him apart until you see who he brings in as assistants.... That is really what will make or break him. I can't see how anyone can really be so sure until we see who he hires. Total knee jerk reaction on your part
  4. Superbowl! Seriously, that makes me feel good
  5. Same with me. And smith was only my first choice if he brought in a decent OC.... So this isn't a bad hire. It is actually better than I expected. I am waiting to see who is on his staff before I really can see how promising it looks
  6. Playoff game? It's an old nfl myth about these big games that are played after the regular season. They don't really exist, but my dad says he saw one once. He also said he.saw bigfoot, so take it Fwiw....
  7. I would guess due dilligence to cover all their bases, like scouting a player they don't really need but leaving no stone unturned like they said at the pc
  8. Chip Kelly would be a risk, but it is honestly a better coach than I was expecting them to interview. After the last coaching hire, I was really expecting a Russ Grimm type hire....there is no coach out there that looks like a home run, but if we get Kelly, mccoy, or lovie, i say that I am pleasently surprised. I am even more surprised lovie smith contacted us before we contacted him.... Which might mean something
  9. No man, it is all Fitz's fault. And defense is all mario's fault because he is overpaid. And the conditioning staff that lets players get injured. and that other guy
  10. Agreed. But what worries me is how effective it will actually be, and how they are actually going to use it. It seems like it would be almost like using the combine as the main thing in drafting. Baseball you can use statistics a lot more to predict things.... football, statistics don't mean as much because the sport is just so complex. I like the effort though, and maybe they can make it work. I don't see it working against them really. I mean, they can't do any worse than they have with other methods. but something tells me that if this team is still in the cellar 3 years from now, there are going to be a lot of jokes that will reference this department.
  11. I am reserving judgement on the whole thing until they hire a new coach. I am thinking that the press conference was more of a sales pitch to potential coaches so that way, when the bills go up them, they won't get the door slammed in their face like last time. Otherwise, the PC really didn't have anything earthshattering to announce. there were a few interesting things to take out of there, but again, not anything worth a press conference over I don't know how good/bad this is, but I will decide after I see who they hire as HC. If they get Chip Kelly, I will be both shocked and a kool aid drinker. If they get Russ Grimm, I am going to feel the same way I have felt for that past 12 years, and will be stocking up on whiskey for the bills 2013 season. anyway, go bills!
  12. Pretty much. Buddy has shined with keeping our own and free agency. The draft he is average at best. And that first draft was terrible
  13. Haha, jests. How great though if polian came here. That would be our best shot at getting a legit coach. But chances of him coming here aren't likely.
  14. Hard to expect anything better than that
  15. hey, I'm not alone. At least now I am not alone with my miserable opinion. have a drink, sir
  16. I am for continuity too, but probably for the wrong reasons. I honestly think that Chan is the best we can do for the time being. If we fire him, there are going to be plenty of others teams looking for a new HC as well, and we will get the worst one for sure. We have the least appeal out of any team, mainly because we have an owner that can go any day. Any coach will know that when ralph passes, there will be a new owner, and the first thing a new owner does is fire everyone. So no respectable coach would take the risk in coming here. Maybe a desperate one that can't find work elsewhere... but I doubt it is someone better than chan. I really think this is the regime we are stuck with for awhile, if for some miracle we make the playoffs next year, that will definently give them enough leverage to last for the remainder of ralphs years. But as soon as new ownership comes in, they are all goners and just gotta hope that the new owners 1) keep the bills in buffalo and 2) put together a front office that can build a winner
