  1. Not many players can take the hits he does. For a small guy, he takes nasy hits like they are nothing.
  2. Exactly. No news from any media until the signing was done and he was in buffalo for almost 24 hours without a peep. I am sure they are talking with a lot of agents and they could very well have 1 or 2 people in buffalo and no one even knows. I wouldn't be surprised if gibson went to visit the jests and sign with the bills saying he visited the bills first and decided to sign there. Not saying that is who I want, but they are being very quiet about what they are doing. I am sure the deadspin article had at least a little influence on them being THIS quiet.
  3. hahaha, I would love to spraypaint that on brady's garage door.
  4. kinda risky for them. Their best 3 recieving options have a long history of injuries. I say they have to dumpster dig for receivers this year in november.
  5. His success rate in free agency has been pretty bad as of late. The last few moves that actually worked are limited, probably hernandez, gronk, and talib. Then the failures of haynesworth, ocho cinco, Anthony Gonzalez, Donte Stallworth, Brandon Lloyd, etc. In fact, the patriots are minus 3 picks because of these moves. If the bills did that, there would be outrage.
  6. Agreed. He played tough and hit hard, but he wasn't quick and didn't cover too well. That could change and he could develop. But if we are doing a 3-4, I think he would be better at ILB.
  7. They can sign an owner ! Guys, what free agent owners are out there?!
  8. Not radioshack. Got it from a trashcan from the patriots. According to the computer, we need to get sign ocho cinco, and we are a lock for the super bowl!
  9. I would like him, but not super badly. He is a slight upgrade over Jones. Lots of receivers out there still.
  10. Won't be saying that when welker shreds the patriots in the afc championship game.
  11. Failure? The guy produces. Just because he isn't a superstar doestnt make him a failure. This is what I was thinking. We need someone more dynamic and threatening
  12. Yeah, we are just so thin at WR I would like them to get a WR in free agency as well. Not a scrub, but someone that can be at least a legit upgrade over donald jones. putting hopes into a rookie reciever doesn't seem smart considering how thin we are there now.
  13. I am thinking they are going after G somewhere in the draft. this draft is stacked with linemen. It should be easy to find a decent guard in rounds 3-4. Though it sucks usiing a pick on a guard when we should be using those picks for linebackers, QBs, and WRs.
  14. If they did those three plus sign a decent CB, I think it would be a success. Then the draft wouldn't be so desperate.
  15. Then we can run that fancy 7 wide reciever formation!
  16. We hear that every year before the season that the bills are set up to get the best QB prospect in next year's draft, and it never happens. This team might be bad, but there will always be at least a couple teams worse.
  17. he was never good enough to be levitres replacement. I liked him as depth though. wish we could have re-signed him. If the chargers signed him expecting to be their starter, they are in for some disapointment.
  18. like how some people are bashing this signing cause lawson was more of a rotational guy than a starter, yet the ravens linebackers that got huge contracts with browns/phins were also not full time starters last year and have never been starters.
  19. I doubt aaron williams will be on the field much, if at all. and giving up one catch a game or maybe more won't be a big deal. The guy is a solid tackler and should go a long way to helping us stop the run. Plus, he probably doesn't get thrown to that much maybe because he covers people well. The most surprising part about those numbers is that QBs only threw in his direction 22 times? It must mean they are cautious throwing in his direction, thought I might be reading into the stats wrong. Other than that, I am hoping Pettine uses all these guys right. He really is the one who has the most cred at this point on our coaching staff.
  20. I wanted them to sign him a couple years ago, but bengals signed re-signed him before free agency. love this signing I remember a time when I heard that.... some guy named winfield was in a bills uniform. Haven't heard it since, so it must be outdated.
