  1. I wouldn't call Flyn much of a vet.
  2. means we don't have to draft a RB in the 1st round this year!
  3. I don't think they like skelton as a starter. I would think they only seem him as competition for the number 2 role. They are going to draft a QB and have that QB battle it out with stanton for the starting spot would be my guess.
  4. I would think they would mosly read news papers. They probably scan through some message boards, but there is so much online material, and a lot of it contradicts itself, I can't imagine they put much stock into the message boards. You come here one day, and people are complaining that we aren't signing anybody. You come in the next day, people are complaining that we signed someone. The next day people are complaining we aren't signing people. The next day people are upset that we met with Fred Davis..... it is round and round. Message boards are really 85% people who just need to vent, and the venters disagree with eachother. Can't imagine they would find much value in any of that. The other 15% is some pretty good discussion, but I am sure the PR people have better things to do than to search message boards for that. I think they mostly are concerned with what is printed in the paper, what type charities they are involved with, and being in communication with local governments. Message boards has to be something very low, or not all on their to do list.
  5. I was going to say the same thing. There are no organizations that get it right all the time, and every organization gets egg on their face, most pretty often. but the bills seem to get more things wrong than most organizations. with that said, the packers keeping finley for that kind of money is a waste. They could get someone better without much trouble.
  6. Well, he is mid tier. But it isn't a big need for us like we have at OG, LB, or QB. We have someone that can play the position. he just isn't going to be healthy to play the begining of the year. Though there is a concern that he might be prone to injury now, though that might be premature. Still, if we only put modest resources into tight end this offseason, we should be ok at the position. If they can upgrade the postion, great. But I would much rather them use their resources to take care of the holes on this where we don't even have bodies to even stand in the position.
  7. It would be a decent signing, especially if it is for a low amount. We really don't need a long term answer to tight end. Chandler has looked good, and the only reason we are looking for a Tight end right now is because Chandler probably won't be ready at the begining of the season.... we really only need a stop-gap player for the begining of the season until chandler comes back. though have two decent tight ends would be good for us.
  8. He would be an upgrade over what we had last year and make us better. But He clearly wouldn't be able to make us a legit contender... maybe 2 years ago he could.
  9. he probably wouldn't want to come here, we already have too much money tied up at DE, putting another 8 million would be crazy. it would be better to use that 8 mill one DB or WR.... or better yet, even use some of it for Hasselbeck who would be an upgrade over what we had at QB last year and instantly make us better.... too many better things to use our resources on. I honestly would rather carry the money over than use it on Dumerville who probably wouldn't even entertain the idea of coming here, even if we were interested.
  10. It is hard to tell, because we really don't know too much about our defensive scheme. We assume it is going to be mutliple front that leans 3-4.... but I am guessing it is going to be more complex than that. With that said, Dansby would be a huge upgrade for us, no matter the scheme.
  11. It is if they can't protect their qb. Wallace may be fast deep threat, but not even he can get deep if his qb gets sacked in 1 or 2 seconds
  12. I wouldn't take him for that price, but it sucks he is with the pats*. He was a difference maker for that defense.
  13. I don't know.... a lot of recievers more talented than donald went there and brady did next to nothing with them. Ocho cinco and lloyd are the ones that jump to mind. My guess is he only sees the field if there is an injury or he just gets cut in august.
  14. That is something I have noticed. They seem most intrigued with wilson. I wonder if it is a smokescreen to throw people off about nassib, since they really know everything they would have to know on him. I would take Wilson over Nassib though. But they have publically shown most interest in wilson
  15. they are not doing anything because our team is awesome just the way it is. go bills!
  16. Because it kills a team when you over pay too many players. It isnt like the bills can spend as much as they want. If they overspend on too many players, that leaves less money for other positions. There is a thing called a cap limit, ya know.
  17. might be too expensive if that many teams are after him. He would be the number two guy here. I would love to have him here though.
  18. I would like drafting patterson. He has too much upside. But if geno falls to us, he should be the pick
  19. I think that would be a huge signing, but I am not expecting a signing. My pessimism has been kicking in a lot lately. But if they sign him, that would be huge for us.
  20. I thought it was possible, but unlikely. Either way, this is good news. Jests losing good players only makes me happy. The jests have gotten way worse this offseason, and might get worse if they lose revis. Even if we are just as crappy as last year, we got the jests beat. They lost their DC, lost a few of their key players, still stuck with Tebow/sanchez, and very well can lose revis, even if they get a 1st rounder for him. They have taken like 10 steps back. Right now, I say we are 3rd in the division. And if the bills do some good things in free agency and the draft, they might actually move up from 3rd. The coaching staff is a bit of a wild card, because it is hard to tell how much of an impact they will make with our guys. hard to imagine the defense not making huge strides this year, even with the lackluster talent at MLB. I expect the same old stuff on offense, with maybe some better playcalling. Though if we get Geno smith, offense could take off too.
  21. I didn't realize Byrd's agent was the same one Peter's had. That makes me nervous
  22. It is a QB league for now, but it is just a fad. The fullback is making a comeback!
  23. Yeah, I was trying to also include drafts, because their drafts aren't much better than ours really. Their team is great because of Brady, Bellicheat, Wilfork, Mayo, their two TEs, and formally Welker. The rest of the team is pretty weak overall. They just lost welker and Chung... pats took two big steps backwards. and at worst, we took a step backwords losing levitre. but really, tavaris jackson is probably just as good if not better than fitz, lawson is better than what we had last year...... I don't think our season is doomed yet. And I am not ready to crown marrone as a good HC just yet, but I am pretty confident Pettine can make this a top 15 defense this year. Even without levtire, I don't think this team is any worse than last year. And from a big picture point of view, we are probably more improved than any other team in the afc east just on the coaching change alone.
