schedule breakdown, wins and losses
DanInUticaTampa replied to SJDK's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, if you use your head you wouldn't bet at all because this is a team we have no idea how they will perform. though chance doesn't really favor them. but they could very easily have a winning season just as much as a losing season. I think that raider game is going to be a tough one. They got some solid vets, traveling to california takes its toll, and with our luck, we will have 3-5 significant injuries by then. So I am thinking that one is a loss. But my heart really really wants to win that browns game, just because of whitner. I want all our wide receivers to burn him and I want that scoreboard to scream a bills win. I honestly want it more than a NE win at this point. I am also thinking at worst this team goes 7-9. but I am pretty confident for a 9-7 season, but nothing higher than that unless EJ turns a corner. I think EJ will be better, but turning a corner is somthing I doubt. -
The Unpopular Opinion. RB - Fred Jackson
DanInUticaTampa replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see anything that would warrant freddy to take less carries than Dixon of all people. The season should start with freddy and CJ taking the most reps. and if freddy never gets into a groove and brown is looking good, then move brown up a bit. But based on 2 preseason games, I see no reason to move freddy to 4 on the depth chart. The guy got us quite a few TDs last year. You don't limit a guy like that. you want a guy that scores TDs to be on the field. -
Round 2 : Sale of the team
DanInUticaTampa replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then I say have JBJ arrested for brainwashing. They can't have my team and they sure as hell can't have my childhood hero QB. -
I stopped using the app myself. So annoying

Round 2 : Sale of the team
DanInUticaTampa replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I am not sure if that is all that matters. Personally I think it is silly a business as profitable as the NFL gets a free ride with taxes and somehow is able to sucker government to publicly finance their stadiums. It really is something that I think is wrong. With that said, I will gladly put all those beliefs aside and be happy with anything that keeps the bills in buffalo. -
I'm officially worried about Cordy Glenn
DanInUticaTampa replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We get a lot of these weird illnesses/injuries. Easley, Hariston, and now Glen. I don't follow other teams as close as the bills obviously, but I don't hear other teams having things like this. Paranoia could lead someone to believe they are all related and there is a deadly disease circling the locker room and they are trying their best to contain it. but ony because it is preseason and I have nothing else to think about except the batted down passes and the kyle williams play -
They didn't say it Because they want this process to be done behind closed doors. The trust isn't saying anything. All we get is random pieces of info from unnamed sources. So any of this information we get should be taken with a grain of salt and it should be obvious we will never get the whole story. And until the trust officially says something, nothing is official this is probably the most true part, especially since there are no reports of Bon Jovi's group to go forward

It will prob be a high scoring game. If that happens, it might help us out. That will force Cutler to throw a lot. Even though cutler is better than EJ, he will throw some interceptions to us if he throws a lot. That is the only way I see it happening. I know their defense sucks and our defense is pretty good, but their offense is way to good for us to rely on our D. Our offense needs to be ready to score 35+ points if they are going to win. And even with Mike williams and Sammy, I am not sure how much I trust this offense, especially on the road. 24 points seems more realistic but here is hoping for a big game. opening the season with a road win would be huge

So, I have a job that has me working on Sundays. I took the job earlier in the year hoping I would move into a different dept, new job, new schedule, or something before football season started. Since it looks like that isn't going to happen, I just used all my PTO to not miss a single bills game. All except the last game on Dec 28th against the pats*.... long story short, I can't ask for the dec 28th off unti like octoberish. And even then it is based on seniority and I probably wont get it. So I need the bills to fight for this division. If them and the pats* are neck and neck, and they do the flex for the game, I can still watch it since I get out of work at 7:30! These guys are playing more than the playoffs now. I haven't missed a game in forever. The guys need to show up to keep my streak alive! As bad as these bills play sometimes, it would totally suck missing a game. Especially a divisional game. And if we make the playoffs, I am def using my vacation time early in january go Bills!

EJ put on 10 lbs of muscle in offseason
DanInUticaTampa replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He really wasn't that much of a dual threat in college. He was a much better passer than a runner. In his college career he averaged less than 3 yards a carry. Now he is in the NFL where everyone is faster, and it is harder for a QB to run. that isn't going to win you many games if you are expecting your QB running with the ball is going to be a big part of his game. Honestly, the only time he should run with the ball is short yardage situations and maybe some redzone stuff. What he really should be doing with his body and athleticism is using it to extend plays like how big ben does it. With a better oline, speedy receivers, if he can get an extra second by using his body, he could be lethal even if his accuracy hasn't improved. -
How good does EJ have to be?
DanInUticaTampa replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he gets us to the playoffs, that would set it up for the starter through his rookie contract at least. There is enough talent on this roster that if you put a top 20 QB on it, this is a playoff team. EJ doesn't have to be great, but he has to be significantly better than last year. If we fail to make the playoffs this year, the whole blame will be put on him. And with ownership in question, a curveball might be thrown at this team, for better or worse -
Programming Alert! Wednesday 7/16 at 8 PM
DanInUticaTampa replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
exactly. A lot of good defensive plays, and couple offense plays. Though there can't be more than 2-3 offense ones -
agreed. I think there is a chance they move graham around a lot. Whether it is depth at corner if Mckelvin or gilmore goes down or if they need to move him to saftey. Or have both him and Robey on the field at the same time. I think they both play a lot this year.

How much should EJ play in the preseason?
DanInUticaTampa replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is probably accurate. If I had to guess, I am thinking they are going to sit him for game 5. I am thinking none of the starters will be playing, and they aren't going to want him out there the a 3rd string line and such -
i never seen them call lebron james LBJ. took me a minute

Manziel the new Josh Gordon?

love that whitner referenced Bleacher Report, which is when Aaron Williams finally had enough lol. Out of the whole thing, my favorite part is still when Whitner called out Watkins, and watkins came back with (paraphrasing) I don't know what got you so upset, but you are a vet, act like one" and Whitner didn't say a word lol. A rookie shutting him up, and acting more like a pro than him was the best. I am no dissing how Aaron williams and Talley went at it, but shutting whitner up is a tough thing to do. And I loved that it was because of our rookie.
-
I never hated whitner as a player, I thought he was an ok starter. But man, ever since he left I have hated him more and more each year. I cannot see him lasting much longer. Sucks the browns have a good defense, he will benefit from a good supporting cast. I hope be embarrass him this year. I don't want to just beat the browns, but I want all our receivers to burn him, all our running backs to miss his tackles, frank summer to lay him out while CJ scores a 60 yard TD.... I want it to be the worst game of his career. I want butt fumble bad for Whitner that game.

I would love to call the OP crazy, but with my luck it seems just iike the bills to bottom out the year they don't have a first rounder. Too much to bottom out in a year with an Andrew luck/ Cam Newton and have a first round pick intact. Now, hoping the team bottoms out just to get people fired is crazy. I don't care that much who gets fired and not anymore. I just want a winning team, no matter who is running the show. I want a winning team, I don't want a bad season just to fire people. I am hoping for a winning season. Buffalo haters may root against that, but I won't ever cheer for this team to lose. Especially when there is no first round pick.

Who Is Your Most Underrated Bill Past Or Present ?
DanInUticaTampa replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Always felt london fletcher was under rated when he was here. fred jackson continues to impress me. I really thought he would have been fazed out of the NFL in the past couple years, but there is no quit in that guy.
