I don't think they are asking Byrd to "hurry up" though...... I mean, what makes you think they are rushing him to grow up? what makes it seem like we "need" this guy to grow up faster than the others? I mean, we are fine at saftey. Not great. but we are fine. If we "need" anyone to grow up faster, it is maybin to help with the pass rush. Saftey is not the worst spot on the team. The worst spots were the oline and the pass rush, and THAT is where we need rookies to grow up fast because they are being thrown to the wolves. Byrd is like any other rookie right now. He isn't being rushed, and this team doesn't need him to be a star right away. not even mckelvin, our number 1 pick last year, didn't start playing until injuries occured. Byrd wont see much playing time at all on defense unless there is an injury or until after the bye week.

I don't think that is the case. Yes, we are starting two rookie guards and a young OL in general. but we are not "starting" Byrd. He barely plays outside special teams. He is a smart kid. I don't think doing homework is an issue with him. I think he just needs to get used to professional football, and that takes time. It is like Maybin. Sure, he is playing. but he is starting. Their early development isn't critical like it is for wood and leveitre.

He isn't getting signed anytime soon.

I don't think that is possible. isn't he like 50 Tds away from it? he would have to be in the league another 5 years, and make 10 tds a year. doesn't seem very likely

I think most people were thinking that the guy that hit jackson to force the fumble was supposed to be blocked by roscoe in the first place. So if roscoe didn't miss his block, their might not have been a fumble in the first place. Roscoe was quick. And if i remember correctly, edwards caught up to them toward the end too.l

Yeah, miami's run defense is VERY solid. But their passing defense is pretty vulnerable.

Our run Defense is a beast. Tampa's run game was their best weapon and we completly shut it down.

yeah, people down here don't know who Jackson is. They haven't seen him really play. But they will remember his name well after tomorrow.

the whole team fell apart in the last 5 minutes. special teams, defense, and offense.

I think their are two reasons 1) bellichick came up with a game plan to limit owens and evans as much as possible. Not every coach is going to be able to plan it as well as he did. 2) Edwards, coming off a year where he was highly criticized, played it safe and didn't force the ball into the recievers' hands unless he was absolutly sure he could make the throw. Which i don't have a problem with most of the time, because it limits INTs. I think with lesser coached teams, coaches won't be able to cover both evans and TO as well as bellichick. I also think as edwards gets more confident, he will take more chances on more difficult throws. I honestly would rather of edwards played like he did last week rather than throwing interceptions or other crap. It was nice seeing him throw for 2tds.

like 2/3 of them seem to think that. The logical ones are expecting a loss. And they expect it close if their run game and their D has a good game. i think their blowouts are more like war cries or siomething. one had a 60-3 prediction i think.

because, you know, stats mean everything.....
