  1. He lost some more lbs http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...s-down-further/
  2. The bills have always used free agency to help them out. This is an off year, not just for the bills, but for many teams. This is the worst offseason for free agency with all the rules. The problem with the bills is not how much they paid or how many they signed, it is WHO they signed. They signed and traded for players a lot, and they rarely worked out. you can say: But we can say: Bills: Dockery, walker, Beldsoe, Rob Johnson, flutie, T.O., Jackson, Spikes, Milloy, etc. We always grabbed people in FA. A lot of ones that commanded some big $$$. The problem is a lot of them sucked or didn't live up to the high contract we paid them. Just because we aren't going big in Free Agency in the first 10 days in on of the worst Free agencies doesn't mean that this front office thinks they can only fix with the draft, won't sign more players, or whatever.
  3. Well, first, GM is where you always should start to turn a team around. Then coaching is the next step. Then comes the players. What makes people feel good about Buddy is what he said and his record. He still has some to prove, but he has already proved a lot with his track record. When he said that he doesn't like to go out and sign big money free agents, he said the reason was that the team should give that money and reward players on the team that are already playing well. So basically, this makes bills fans feel like there won't be another pat williams mistake. So, as long as buddy keeps to his word (i don't know why he wouldn't) we are going to draft good players like wood, levitre, byrd, and we are going to make a good effort to keep them. There is plenty of reason to believe this. First, he sounded really sure of it when he said it, and 2nd, he comes from a winning organization that has done it. It isn't a sure thing, but I like the upside.
  4. Well, there is that. But I don't think the owners want it to be uncapped forever, save a few teams. I think most teams want there to be a cap. In this case, I think jones/snyder are going to be in the miniority. This isn't going to be small market vs big market. I think it is going to be owners vs players, which is a whole other discussion.
  5. I think they are going to do great in the draft. They seem to be taking it pretty seriously. Since they are meeting with so many players, it seems like they are just leaving no stone unturned. I think Buddy is going to do pretty well and maybe get some good surprises in later rounds. At least that is the most hopeful idea I have right now.
  6. I don't think tanking the team on purpose is a good business move no matter how you look at it. If the bills suck it up (on purpose) and the bengals have a good season, then that would just be stupid.
  7. We should just draft a QB in every round. One of them is bound to be decent!
  8. I would be able to live with this
  9. so they are going to keep 4 qbs on their roster? crazy phish.
  10. I think it was more than just penalties. But I don't think the bills announced why they didn't re-sign him. So any reason why we didn't is just speculation.
  11. Green and incognito play two different positions.
  12. We don't limit ourselves to losers (losing teams).
  13. I don't like him at 9. I would rather take dan williams at 9 over trent williams.
  14. you're being too nice. Our QBs are not has beens. They are has nevers.
  15. People complain either way. If we grab people from the colts, pats*, and steelers people say "Are you guys nuts? If bellichick is getting rid of him, there HAS to be something wrong with him. Pats* only cut bad players! stay away!" And then if we grab people from the raiders or chiefs, people complain that they are from losing teams. I mean, there aren't many options out there. And we do grab players from winning teams. And that doesn't always work out. I am not a huge mitchell hater like a lot of people here, but he came from a superbowl team and he isn't exactly doing anything great here. And just because the team played bad, doesn't mean the player played bad. Same goes that just because a team played well doesn't mean the player played well. People have to look at the player and stop complaining about the team they are coming from. We are looking at the player, not the team.
  16. Yeah, I saw that. made me cringe a little, mainly because he said he followed the bills. But other than that, he seemed great for us in that interview. Whether it translates to the field, who knows. I am not keeping my hopes up, but i feel better having him at RT than i do bell or chambers.
  17. Yeah, it is called "filling a hole."
  18. they are expecting him to be the starter He seemed cool in his interview though.
  19. The early/current reports are saying the deal is for 3 years and worth 9 mill.
  20. No way there was an offensive line worse than ours. But this visit only looks good for depth purposes, or at most, to compete for starter. But I like the effort of actually trying some things out.
  21. Their biggest hit is going to be QB. Lienhart hasn't shown any promise. All the other players just make it much worse.
