  1. The only reason we won 6 games is because as bad as we are, there are some teams out there that are even worse. yay us!
  2. That is old news from last year. This year people specifically complained to him (and on here) that he should stop tweeting and spend more time trying to be competitive.
  3. Yeah, I am not sure what team would be willing to do this. It really looks like mccnabb is done in philly though.
  4. Because we would only get mcnabb for one year. Why would you spend a premium pick on a player for only one year? Why not draft players like ngata, oher, cushing, etc that can keep your team going for years? So basically we will have a QB for one year and we will be all looking for another QB next year. Then mccab, who gets injured EVERY season basically is going to end up on IR in week four because his blindside is being covered by a UFA. If we can get mccabb for our 2nd round (seems like we can) AND he is willing to sign a 3 year+ contract (sources say no chance in hell), then I say go for it. But trading to get a player for only one year sounds like a bad version of the TO deal.
  5. Mcnabb will cost more than a 3rd. And personally, I have had it for trading high picks for QBs (Bledsoe, Johnson) then having them come here and suck it up because the rest of the team sucks. If QB is so important, beldsoe should have made us look golden. We can trade for mcnabb and still only win like 3 games. Not to mention mcnabb said he doesn't want to come here. That means we throw away a high pick on a player that comes here for one year then he leaves. Why do you want to give up that much for a player to only have him play one year? This isn't like TO where we didn't give up draft picks. IF mccnabb was willing to sign a 5 year extenstion, it would be different. But he said he doesn't want to come here. So the most we can make him play is one year. And yeahm it is a great idea to bring in a player that doesn't want to be here. He would play really hard and not be bitter at all
  6. it would cost more than a 3rd to jump up to the 4th overall pick.
  7. you can be arrogant and nice at the same time. But there were plenty of actions he took that can be seen as arrogant.
  8. His passing percentage is, and always has been 56.4 percent or lower. And he didn't have any help? how about warrick dunn who had his best years with vick and was a stud running the ball? how about their great oline? And their defense was pretty sick then too. Vick gets injured just as much as edwards. it is almost a guarentee if he was made starter on ANY team, he would miss some time somewhere. And there is no proof that he can play an entire season as a starter. just because he jumped in a couple games and ran a few plays last year doesn't mean he is ready to take all the offensive snaps for the season. it seems like a pretty risky move. I would rather use our draft picks to grab more linemen or another reciever or maybe a QB to develop. Vick can't have that much left in him.
  9. Well, normally they don't do well their rookie season. The WRs taken in the 1st round have some great rookie seasons (sometimes). But 2nd round and later, they usually take time to develop. I mean, besides Knox and Collie (who had much better QB play), the others are 1st rounders and had higher expectations. If hardy was taken in the top ten, then hell, he should probably have higher numbers. But it is rare for a 2nd round WR to have harvin and crabtree numbers his rookie season. I mean, seriously, if we expected him to contribute like a top pick, we would have used our 1st pick on him, not our 2nd. We really haven't seen hardy play since his rookie year that much. He should be improved after learning from Owens, learning routes, learning the playbook, etc. So he should be much better. How much better is a major concern. But we won't know how he does until the season starts.
  10. Nice update.
  11. You have got to be kidding me.
  12. I think it will be interesting to see how Williams plays at NT after last season. It is obvious he isn't big enough to be taking all the Reps at NT. But I think he should be good for some damage.
  13. Can't be april 22nd. By then the WHOLE schedule should be out. And that is the draft?
  14. i don't get this thread. but yeah, poor guy.
  15. They are probably going to sign a lot more, but they are all going to be backups for depth purposes. As far as signing starters, i think they are done in that department unless there is a surprise cut (like davis) and we go after them.
  16. That is how I feel. It depends on who is available when we pick. I really want one of those OTs, but a lot of mocks have most of them gone when we pick. If by some chance the top OTs are gone and spillar is still there, I wouldn't call it a bad pick at all. And personally, I would like spillar over clausen. And apparently the bills front office feels the same way. I think that the bills won't draft spillar unless they can trade lynch before the draft. If they can't trade lynch in time, they won't pick spillar. So if all the top OTs are gone and we still have lynch, I think we might actually trade down. Which would be nice with a draft so deep with linemen.
  17. As far as wood and levitre goes, they are great. They had great rookie performances, and they will probably only get better. So if you want to draft a Guard to replace them with the 9th pick, then you are silly. As far as hangartner goes, he is average. but he is tough, he is versitile, and he can play through injury. if you want to replace him with the 9th pick at center, you are silly. If you want to replace our RT with the 9th pick, you are silly there too. The only position as far the the 9th overall pick goes that is worth picking, it is LT. But we can also draft an LT in the 2nd round. You are making it seem like they can only draft LTs in the 1st round. wtf.
  18. That would be awesome. Trading down might be a great thing to do. A lot of my friends who are browns fans are thinking they might be drafting spiller with their first pick..... though i haven't seen any mocks like that. But there are a lot of talks among the fans though that they think they are picking him.
  19. Well, there are other rounds in the draft..... As for QB, the only one I would want is Bradford. And I wouldn't want him that bad. So I think QB is out of the question, especially as the first round goes. As for the line, we have a great interior line (needs depth, which we get from later rounds). But the only start we need is an LT. Which we can draft in the 2nd round. The real killer is we need a NT badly.
  20. spiller seems like a chris johnson type player. If Buddy truly believes that, then it wouldn't be a bad pick at all. It depends on who is still there. I really want one of those top OTs.
  21. I don't think Poz is known for his speed at all. He is mostly known for his football intelligence. He should play inside with Davis. Mitchell should be outside. That is where he played in his one year with the giants and that was a good year for him. So OLB in the 3-4 seems ideal for him. The only reason Mitchell was slated to be an ILB earlier is because ILB is the 2nd most important position in the 3-4, right after NT. And mitchell and Poz were the only LBs that were worth a damn on this team. But now that we have davis to play inside, mitchell can move to the outside. But the bills could do something different. Never know what these coaches are thinking.
  22. sticking with the same QBs is one thing. But that Oline needs some more insurance than a 3rd round pick. That oline needs a lot more depth, and a starter for LT. Forget our passing game, our run game won't do crap either. And then injuries is another worry. The QBs.... I wouldn't mind sticking with them. 1) I am not sure I would want clausen and 2) there aren't any FA that really strike my fancy. Edwards would probably be improved with gailey, but i doubt he throws down the field. Brohm has some upside, and he was a well respected project. And unlike edwards, he hasn't really had a chance yet. But he is still unproven. And I like Fitz as a backup, and I won't get pissed that much if he has to come in and play. But Gailey's offense has ALWAYS been heavy on the run. Our RBs can't do crap if if the oline is that much of a mess. They are def going to make a big effort to improve the oline. I think most of us believe they are taking a tackle with the 1st or 2nd picks.
  23. This is how I feel as well. Using 2nd tier guys to plug holes. They are affordable and usually perform well. The first tier guys are usually over-rated and never play as well as people want.
