  1. I think that too. He seemed a lot more interested when he was the only decent player on offense. Now we have a proven freddy.
  2. Yeah, he got a lot out of QBs. But actually picking them? Him and Allen juggled QBs every year looking for a good one. One season there were 5 different QBs that started. Some due to injury, some due to suckage. I don't question gruden's coaching, I question his personel/scouting choices. His QBs he picks are usually below average. His best QB was Garcia toward the end of his career.
  3. Worse or not, one more strike and we lose him for an entire season.
  4. Gruden isn't exactly a good QB guy. Him and Allen juggled QBs every season having trouble finding a franchise QB. I like gruden as a coach and I like him more as a commentator, but his only real franchise QB was Brad Johnson who was really just good enough not to lose with everyone else around him being amazing. I think the Bucs went through QBs faster than us.
  5. That would change a lot of the draft board if they did go that route.
  6. Yeah, if they get 10-15 on IR like us, that could really shake things up for them.
  7. I think there are bigger worries than that. If worst comes to worst the starting LBs will be Davis, Poz, Mitchell, Maybin. And maybe someone other than maybin.
  8. Hey guys! we got ourselves a top 20 DE! (Edwards)
  9. Yeah, QB is their biggest problem. But if a 1st rounder who only played for one year is your worst player, your futer doesn't look too bad. Especially draft wise. They might have some QB issues, but they aren't looking for a QB. And I agree with your other points as well. They could use some depth and a little help in spots. But they aren't desperate for help by a longshot.
  10. They really have no problem with litterally taking the best player available all through the draft. They really don't have any glaring holes.
  11. 2-14 season is quite a ways off for them.
  12. It's in white text so we can't see it.
  13. I don't like it for a lot of reasons. Only the 1st round on the 1st day? Blah. I liked it better on a saturday afternoon when we went through 3 rounds day one. A lot of action happening in one day, it was exciting. I don't like this 3 day format.
  14. Also: Roethlisberger to the Bills for a third. Calling it now. Hey, if the jets can get holmes for a low 5th, we should be able to get ben for a high 3rd, right? Haw.
  15. and deion branch was amazing in his prime but has regressed with age. Holmes is like 5 years younger than branch and is still in his prime
  16. If we get a low 60s pick for him, that would not suck. That would be amazing. He will probably have more value if they trade him that way. When teams get desperate, they will give us more. Right now I doubt we get a 4th for him. But when teams really need a RB, and the best ones are off the board.... teams wmight just give up something big to us. that would be an awesome surprise in this draft.
  17. Wow, a real link. For some reason I was expecting peterpan. Thanks for the link And buluga at 9 sounds wonderful.
  18. I like the idea of trading for player rather than a draft pick. IF we get a draft pick, it is going to be pretty low and not worth it. If we get a decent player instead, that would be a lot better.
  19. Yes, someone comes here and says all the things people have said are just as dumb as trading for P manning. Then I point out that most people aren't saying things that dumb and I am a troll? No, he wasn't serious about actually trading for peyton manning. But he was serious that he thought most of the ideas here were just as bad. He even came out and admitted it was an attack. I don't know what more proof you need.
  20. No, I was saying it wasn't true that something the things people say here are nowhere near as farfetched as that one. I never said I thought it was serious. You can call it a "joke" if you want, but the origional poster even called it an "attack" himself.
  21. Normally I wouldn't agree about mccargo. But I think it is odd that they haven't cut him. Buddy is pretty good at evaluating talent, so keeping him maybe he thinks he can fit somewhere. But I think it is still a longshot.
  22. I am hoping that if we get some winning seasons, we will be more attractive.
  23. Because i think it is bs that a guy comes in and says all the ideas we have are just as dumb as trading for peyton manning? Ok, I guess trading for peyton manning IS just as dumb as trading down. Shame on all the people who thought trading down would be a good idea
