  1. I don't like it for a lot of reasons. Only the 1st round on the 1st day? Blah. I liked it better on a saturday afternoon when we went through 3 rounds day one. A lot of action happening in one day, it was exciting. I don't like this 3 day format.
  2. Also: Roethlisberger to the Bills for a third. Calling it now. Hey, if the jets can get holmes for a low 5th, we should be able to get ben for a high 3rd, right? Haw.
  3. and deion branch was amazing in his prime but has regressed with age. Holmes is like 5 years younger than branch and is still in his prime
  4. If we get a low 60s pick for him, that would not suck. That would be amazing. He will probably have more value if they trade him that way. When teams get desperate, they will give us more. Right now I doubt we get a 4th for him. But when teams really need a RB, and the best ones are off the board.... teams wmight just give up something big to us. that would be an awesome surprise in this draft.
  5. Wow, a real link. For some reason I was expecting peterpan. Thanks for the link And buluga at 9 sounds wonderful.
  6. I like the idea of trading for player rather than a draft pick. IF we get a draft pick, it is going to be pretty low and not worth it. If we get a decent player instead, that would be a lot better.
  7. Yes, someone comes here and says all the things people have said are just as dumb as trading for P manning. Then I point out that most people aren't saying things that dumb and I am a troll? No, he wasn't serious about actually trading for peyton manning. But he was serious that he thought most of the ideas here were just as bad. He even came out and admitted it was an attack. I don't know what more proof you need.
  8. No, I was saying it wasn't true that something the things people say here are nowhere near as farfetched as that one. I never said I thought it was serious. You can call it a "joke" if you want, but the origional poster even called it an "attack" himself.
  9. Normally I wouldn't agree about mccargo. But I think it is odd that they haven't cut him. Buddy is pretty good at evaluating talent, so keeping him maybe he thinks he can fit somewhere. But I think it is still a longshot.
  10. I am hoping that if we get some winning seasons, we will be more attractive.
  11. Because i think it is bs that a guy comes in and says all the ideas we have are just as dumb as trading for peyton manning? Ok, I guess trading for peyton manning IS just as dumb as trading down. Shame on all the people who thought trading down would be a good idea
  12. This was the issue. You were clearly just insulting pretty much everyone and saying we were all just as crazy as a trade that would never happen. Really? Trading for peyton manning is JUST as crazy as trading down in the draft? What is so crazy about trading down in the draft? Teams do it every year. Granted, there are a lot of crazy theories on this board, and they are usually beaten by a dead horse by a lot of people, but people in general just toss a lot of realistic ideas around here. Most of the posters here are suggesting things like drafting an OT at 9, drafting clausen at 9, trading down and grabbing a defensive guy, etc. Then there are the few that are saying things like trading up to get bradford, which most people here are against.
  13. And why in the world would the colts make such a stupid move? The colts wouldn't give us manning if we gave them all of our picks with marshawn, parish, stroud, F Jackson, and evans. There are plenty more logical plans on here than that one. Ones that could actually work and actually have a chance of happening.
  14. I was thinking that too, about the blocking. But I couldn't remember any of the other TE's blocking skills. But he is an ok catcher and an ok blocker. Nelson is a great reciever... but his blocking skills are lacking.
  15. The only TE that is worth anything on our roster was Nelson, and he is still growing. Schouman is good to have. he didn't do that bad for us. Plus, if Edwards is the starter (big if), then we need schouman. He is like the only guy trent likes to throw to.
  16. Green should be a decent starter unless we find a surprise in the draft.
  17. I wouldn't hate this, especially if all 4 OTs are gone.
  18. WE wouldn't be nearly as picky if they had a winning season now and then.
  19. Then Trade down and grab trent williams or dan williams and an extra high pick.
  20. This is how I feel. The earliest I would take him is the 3rd, and even that has a lot of questionmarks. He probably won't last to our 2nd pick. There seems to be too many other players in this draft that have more upside than him and a lot less risk.
  21. Before the trade, campbell was #1 and Grossman was #2.
