  1. oops. And I like he says nice things about us and all.... but I really wish people wouldn't use "high motor" when describing our players. It just triggers bad memories.
  2. it is cool and all and I think that he will be able to get to the QB after we develop him more, though that is far from a sure thing. What sucks though is that he will be almost worthless on stopping the run most likely. And that is going to kinda suck. I don't think he was worth the spot we took him in. There were just too many players that brought more to the table. Someone mentioned oher, and I would like to throw cushing out there too. Both those players would have been a lot more help than maybin, both in the long term and short term. And I know people will also say Orpako (sp?) as well would have been a better pick.
  3. I think it means that he will start arguments over anything to prove a point or make it look like he isn't at fault. I have seen the term used mostly with basketball players so I am just guessing based on the context they have used it.
  4. I like what he said about picking troup over cody. Cody was almost a risk with the questionmarks of his work ethic and conditioning issues. Cody is better off with balt where Lewis will keep in line and we are better off with Troup who is more of a safe pick and don't need to babysit to make sure he is putting in the effort and taking care of himself.
  5. A lot of franchise QBs get picked in the 2nd half of the first round. Aarron Rodgers and Big Ben are the first ones that come to mind. We don't need a top ten pick to get a franchise QB. Especially with the QB class that is expected to come out next year. I don't know how well we are going to do, but I can't write off the season until at least game 8. Last year, we sucked but we were still able to beat the phish once, the jests once, and almost beat the *pats. sure we are behind them all, but they are not all mighty by any means. With this new coaching staff and our new defensive scheme, we have no idea how we will match up to them this year. If this coaching staff is better than jauron, then winning 3 divisional games shouldn't seem impossible (though I don't think it is likely). Plus if we get all our players back healthy, that will only make us better as well. I also thought a lot about the Jests campaign to win it all this year. Their agressive attitude and smack talk just seems like a lot. I think they will be awesome this year, but I think it is also risky making this attempt to win it all with a questionable QB still in development. If he regresses, or stays the same, I think the jests could lose thier first playoff game which would just tear apart that locker room and all those 1 year contract players will jump ship. there is just too much hot air in their for them not to burst. We have seen rex ryan act all bad ass and we have seen him cry. That locker room has drama hell written all over it, and the only way to avoid it is win everything.
  6. crazy Coleman didn't get drafted. And it is crazier he chose us when there were probably others calling him up.
  7. The Spillar pick did help fill a need I think. He is going to really help the passing game and help fix the need at reciever. Especially if Trent becomes our starter, I can see spillar being trent's new check down favorite. Plus spillar can be used as an extra blocker to protect the QB if needed. As for the rest of the guys, I don't really know. But they seem to expect troup to play 30+ snaps a a game. With the addition of troup and Davis, this team should be well improved on run defense, which will be great. So it looks like we can stop the run and stop the pass, the only thing this defense really needs to do is rush the passer. Which it has the potential to do, but there are a lot of question marks. Overall, I think that if the spillar pick was an OT, a lot more people would like this draft. And I might even like it a little more myself. But personally, I think that this draft would have been a lot easier had the maybin pick last year been michael oher. If this draft works out well, I think our biggest needs next year will be QB, LT, and OLB with most of the other positions being at least ok if not better.
  8. All I have to say is I hope he is right and I can't wait for september
  9. You also keep saying "Cannot be denied" which just ruins a lot of cred on your part. "this is my opinion, but it can't be denied".....wtf.
  10. When lynch gets caught with a loaded gun or smoking pot, he will be suspended for an entire season and he won't do ANYTHING on the field.
  11. Yeah, what were they thinking last year spending 2 high picks on the offensive line? they shouldn't do things like that!
  12. This trio has a baltimore feel to it for me. Well, maybe not since I am not sure where mcclain would fit. But Rice/spillar seem to be pretty similar. The others not so much.
  13. I still like the spillar pick. We can, and should use him as another WR more than a RB. This is probably the best weapon for trent, if we do get stuck with him at QB. Edwards checking down to this guy? he would be a beast and would help draw coverage from evans. I think because we took spillar, WR isn't a very big need for us right now as it was before. I would have rather have traded down or maybe draft defense. I am kinda glad we didn't take dan williams. Especially if Cody or one of the others falls to us or into round 3. And it looks like we could still land a decent LT in round 2. if we load up on linemen for most of the draft, I think we will be in good shape. I would like a real OLB, but I would rather load up on DE/NT or olinement. Also, I wouldn't mind taking Colt Mccoy in the 2nd if he is there. He was my favorite out of the QBs this draft.
  14. I think this may be true, but I think they are going to bring in another OLB (especially if schobol retires) to play on rushing plays. I think Maybin could be great at OLB on passing plays and rushing the passer, but I am not sure how good he would be as helping stop the run.
  15. I like that they are taking LT seriously, but at the same time I having it make them take a player they don't think is worth 9th overall.
  16. On a side note, it is obvious the bills don't think that short arms on a lineman is a deal breaker since they drafted Levitre. Baluga would be a decent pick at 9. Not an exciting pick, but I bet he would help our offense.
  17. The who I am guessing over the years it was a combo of donahu, marv, jauron, Wilson, and maaaaybe a little bit of Brandon. I am hoping that is the case, since most of them won't have any input. The only one to be cautious about is Wilson. But I think he will trust Nix enough to not interfere too much.
