Perhaps OT? Timmy Graham's Twitter Pillow Fight
DanInUticaTampa replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
According to TG, that is the word that 2 separate sources used to describe it. So if that is true (I don't take TG to be an outright liar), he did is job right. He reported it using 2 seperate sources, which is fairly responsible because 1 source could make a mistake, but 2 is a lot less unlikely. A lot of these twitter reports go on a lot less. So he did well, so this is really on his sources. What bothers me is TG even came out later saying that Pegula knew ahead of time that Fred was getting cut.... and that is the opposite of Whaley going rogue. So instead of saying the sources used poor choice of words or something, he defended it in the most convoluted way. He was arguing the definition of "rogue" with people on twitter trying to explain that even though Whaley let most people know what was happening, there were "some" people that did not know, therefore he went rogue. And most people would look at that and think that rogue is very misleading in that case. And I just cannot bring myself to side with graham. And then him attacking Coller with this school yard shouting match was totally weak. -
Perhaps OT? Timmy Graham's Twitter Pillow Fight

I don't think you are reading my posts. I never said TG made a mistake. First you called me a hater, and I am not a hater. Then you are saying that I said TG made a mistake, and I never said that either. If you are going to keep quoting me, please learn to read my posts before responding. You are putting words in my mouth for things I am not saying nor portraying. I honestly think you are not reading my posts and just typing random thoughts... -
Perhaps OT? Timmy Graham's Twitter Pillow Fight

I am not sure what your post has to do with what I wrote? Except for the part at the end about "how sad it is" commentary. I have nothing "Cryptic" to say about how is family must be ashamed of him or whatever. If he has family, I am sure they care very much for him and I highly doubt his reporting or work has any negative side effects. I sure it is the opposite and they are very proud of him. when I said it was "sad" I was referring to the disappointment I personally feel in seeing a reporter I generally like take part in petty arguments with his media peers and deliver reports from questionable sources. I never said I hated the guy or thought his family should be ashamed of him, so I have no clue where you pulled that from. I was simply pointing out why I like him and criticizing what I consider flaws. And all humans have flaws, so just because I feel he insnt perfect I don't hate the guy or (your words now) "something ridiculous like that" -

It is sad, because I have really enjoyed TG's human interest stories (like the Talley Article). And I am sure he is a good guy in real life. He comes off as a nice guy on TV. On the internet though.. he has just a very annoying personality. Very defensive, petty, argumentative, and he does it so much I really think enjoys the contraversy of fighting with people online. And besides that, I really think his "sources" are pretty much dried up compared to what other reporters have. JW, Rodak, carucci all seem to have much better sources based on their recent track record. Even national members of the media have much better sources than him, and that is more sad since he should have an advantage by being in the area. the 2 sources that used the word "rogue" with him were obviously not good sources. They were either flat out wrong or they had an agenda to throw Whaley under a bus. TG should have just admitted his sources screwed up instead of trying t o twist it that he didn't mean "rogue" to mean what people generally think it means by its definition. It is sad, because his human interest stories are wonderful and I am glad he is doing more of them. But his reporting and online behavior is really damaging his reputation with his readers and it will hold him back from reaching his full potential -

Getting one via trade is a possibilty too.and after the next cuts, there might be more kickers available. Your list isn't our only options. -
Fred Says Whaley Dishonest With Him
DanInUticaTampa replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cant realistically think that Whaley did this without talking to rex/ownership. Whaley said he consulted with the pegulas about this. IF whaley did not consult with ownership but he publicly said he did, I would imagine he would get fired. I think the "honesty" think fred was talking about had to do with something other than whaley not talking to ownership -

Wawrow Article Indicates EJ Sees Wall's Writing
DanInUticaTampa replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's also not as fun to ask cassel. What is a bit ironic is that EJ seems to be handleing it a lot better than Cassel. Cassel who has been on several teams and lost/won jobs several times, I would have thought Cassel would have handled it better than EJ. I really think EJ thought he had a chance to win the competition. He played better than I have ever seen him play, and I really think he played to compete. Not just to try to audition for other teams. If we trade him, I wouldn't be surprised. But I would prefer to keep EJ and cut cassel. or keep both. but EJ should stay and develop. -
After watching this steelers game, I know exactly what the bills should do at QB. play all four of them! QB by committee, these defenses won't know what hit them! Do what you did today. Have EJ start out there, take them by surprise with some deep passes and a quick score. Send cassel out there next, have him chip away for a couple drives with short throws to tire out that defense. When that defense is tired, throw Taylor out there. Have him manage the game from the pocket, do his crazy runs (defense will be too tired to stop him). after a few Taylor series', put EJ back now that the defense is totally lost and confused by all the different QB play. Have EJ put the knife into them with his deep passes. After we are up 100% vs our oppenents, send out sims to give the boys a rest. It is the 4 headed monster. be ready!

Why EJ Manuel should start in Week 1
DanInUticaTampa replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am a EJ fan and he is the one I was really pulling for, but I am not sure he should start week 1. He doesn't seem like the best right now. And I don't think the team will really support him 100% if he starts without signifcantly beating out the other two. I think that the bills really need to invest more time into though. Eyeball test says this guy is much better than he was a year ago, and potential is still there. He has the physical talent. Mentally,he is reading the defenses better and seeing the field better. He looks more confident and less timid. He is making better presnap reads. He isn't that far off being the best pocket passer that we have. He isn't the franchise QB that we need, but he has had good improvement and I think he will continue to get better. I just don't think he is ready to beat out the other 2 guys yet. If I had to put money on it, I woudn't be surprised if by week 8 he develops into the best QB on the roster by a good margin. Not saying she should drop everything and start him, but I bet he will keep getting better fast with this better coaching. -
Bills #1 Overhyped Team For 2015? Nick Kostos Thinks So
DanInUticaTampa replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are over hyped, but I also think our QBs are getting knocked down way more than they should. All three have played well in preseason, and it is pretty easy to argue that the QB position will be more productive than last year, not matter which 3 get picked. All those sports talking heads that act like we have the worst QBs, that there are 28 backup QBs that are better than all our QBs, and so on are all very wrong in my book. But I think the hype with the excitement for the team has been pretty crazy. Not as much with the talking heads, but nfl fans in general just seem to have gotten into the hype, not just bills fans. -
It's gotta be Roman who makes the QB call, right?
DanInUticaTampa replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. The final call should be made by HC, but he should yield to OC if the OC feels strongly about a guy. naming a starting a QB is a big deal, and Rex should make the final call. But if Roman strongly pushes for a guy, Rex would be smart to trust Roman. But really, headcoach should be the one with final word -
Exhibition Week 3 Bills Vs. Steelers National TV
DanInUticaTampa replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
woot woot! no replay for me -
barring an injury, I think they keep all 3 of them. All three looked good in the 1st game, all are affordable. Cassel and tyrod are the ones that would save us money, and no way they cut tyrod and cassel is looking good enough as a safety net. And in my opinion, EJ still has potential and we won't save anything by cutting him. EJ looked better in that game than he has before. I think he has improved, even if he is a step behind the other two guys. EJ can still get better and possibly fill in later if one or both of the others get injured. Im trying to keep an even temper because it was just one preseason game. But All I can think of is last year and we had 5 preseason games and it took forever for the 1st team to score a TD. This offense looks so much improved. It isn't an offense that will light teams up, but it will keep them honest.

EJ 4-8 with two drops and one scramble and bad throw

Joe B was right. That DB could have made a play on that ball. If his arms were 4 times longer -

More than that. Ej sat out last part of last year, the rest he was either thrown to the wolves or injured -

Me too. If he is good, then he really should become the favorite. Browns have a great D, probably the best we will play in preseason. It will be a good test -

DanInUticaTampa replied to Jmsbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
naw, tyrod or ej gotta get the start next week, probably tyrod since he seems more ready. They cant get a fair comparison if all 3 do the same snaps every week. They each need to get a shot with/against the starters. This is going to be a tought choice, they are look equally bad/good for different reasons, so it is impossible to compare the 3 of them. I think it isn't going to come down to who is the best QB, but the best one that fits the system. They are all about equal imo, but each has a completely different skillset -
