  1. He must not have heard. We suck and this will be another decade of DOOOOOM. But he might not be too far off. Most of the teams he ranked below us are pretty crappy as well. But I don't think the raiders are going to fall in the bottom two, like he says.
  2. haha, how is it a rumor? He got nicked up and went to the locker room, fact, not rumor. With all the injuries at tackle, this is something that would concern the average bills fan. Sure the injury turned out not to be serious, but still, it is better that the typical observations we have been getting "trent looks better than teh other QBS" blah blah blah. Hell, the cornell green injury is on the front page of the official bills site. you better tell the buffalo bills that they are dumb for putting it on their front page!
  3. It looks like Russ is hinting at that, and if he is, that is really just his speclation. He doesn't know if the bills will more to toronto or not. The team isn't going to move while ralph is alive, and whatever happens to the team (whether it stays with the family or is sold to the highest bidder like ralph says) then the new owner will decide what happens with the team. And Russ aint gonna be the new owner.
  4. He didn't say that. He said toughening a player up now is better than having him get injured during the season. If you don't think tough players handle injuries better, then I don't know what to tell ya.
  5. Yeah, the bills tell chris brown everything and they let him say whatever he wants . Brown has always speculated stuff like this and the bills down tell him everything.
  6. 2-14 doesn't seem right. We should be able to win at least 5 games.
  7. in all seriousness, the 2010 slogan they seem to be pushing is: "Toughness and Discipline" It comes up whenever Chan speaks to the press almost, so I am sure he is pushing that on the players as well. It is just words until the actions speak on the field, but I do like the words so far.
  8. I can't really call BS because there is so much that is unknown. We don't really even know who is handleing the negotiations on the bills side. People say Buddy, but I am guess brandon is doing most of the business side of it. And I doubt the bills are in a rush to get him on the field anyway. The bills already have 2 RBs of starting caliber at camp and it is an easier position to learn than most. So there shouldn't be any rush to get spillar in there anyway. And then I am sure it is complicated by things we wouldn't even think of. There is so much that goes into contracts that people just brush off. But when there is that much money changing hands, both sides want to re-read the final draft of the contract several times, which is like reading a novel. But I am sure that the biggest thing is the bills have the time to hold back. And I don't see why we need spillar in there so quick so edwards can practice dumping to him instead of edwards getting better at throwing to a player that isn't a RB or TE for once.
  9. that is kinda the same that it always is with the bucs down here for training. a lot of people are there, but they aren't a rowdy bunch like at the games.
  10. this part gave me a good laugh, and probably for bad reasons:
  11. They didn't explore trade because they were waiting for schobel to make a decision. Of course, now they are going to explore a trade. But they didn't go behind schobel's back to trade him without giving him a heads up.
  12. Yeah, all these people that think that we can't at least get a 7th rounder for him are idiots. There will be a team that will be willing to part with at least a low round pick to make sure they get him, rather than fight for him in FA.
  13. If he decides to not retire, then there will be multiple teams going after him. It would be smarter for most of those teams to just trade for him instead of losing a bidding war with him. So I doubt they will "wait him out." But I am thinking he is just going to retire and stay retired.
  14. Even if that happens, they aren't going to just cut whitner because he isn't starting. At most, they would trade him for a low pick. But he doesn't have to start to be on the team.
  15. Agreed. Schobel had some good things to say in the AP story, I am not sure how much of it was just for show though: http://www.timesunion.com/default/article/...obel-599366.php
  16. So by your logic, all of the threads created the past month about Revis, Kindle, Bradford, Pat White, Eric Berry, Buluga, Jack Tatum, Haynesworth, Tebow, and EVEN a Lebron james thread all imply that these players should be signed by the bills? When a person creates a thread about a news story, they usually create it to discuss the said topic. that is how message boards work usually.
  17. No, that isn't what he is saying. He is saying the agent is making the decisions and spillar is going along with what the agent is saying. Usually, the player goes along with what the agent says, because the agent would know better than the player what is a good deal and what isn't. What do you think the agents do to make their money? What you are saying would be like hiring a lawyer and telling the lawyer what to do, which is a complete waste. You are paying for profesional advice and you aren't even getting it because you want to just "take the offer!" If that is all spillar wanted to do, he could just fire his agent and "take the offer" himself. When a financial advisor, a lawyer, and agent, etc, gives you advice, you take it 90% of the time. Sure, they work for you and you can override it, but they usually know more than you about their field, so it is best to take their advice, which is what people do in the real world.
  18. We are overdo for a good offense.
