  1. The teams we played last year? Our secondary was amazing last year, we got some decent pass rush, and we got a ton of turnovers. Our only weakness on defense was that we couldn't stop the run, at all.
  2. As bad as the offense looked, the RBs looked great. If our starting o-line can actually do some things right and not get penalties, we can probably be decent just running the hell out of the ball. I am guessing we were "pass UNhappy" tonight because Gaily wants to get a real good look at the QBs. He knows they suck, so they are the ones he really needs to work with. I am sure that when the regular season starts, we are going to pound the ball on the ground. No way does gailey trust fitz and edwards to lead a half decent passing game. I am more worried about the defense..... they looked like they took a few steps back from last year. Either way, I am just hoping they fix a lot of these mistakes and hopefully don't embarress themselves. Hopefully a strong run game can do a lot for this team. Because the QB play being bad looks like a more of a sure thing than before.
  3. I would have liked that better, though I do like spillar. Even more so, I really don't like that we picked maybin last year, which could have been used a lot better. It is too eary to call maybin a bust, but I really thought it was a risky pick for a team that needed a lot of help.
  4. spillar touched the ball 4 times. he should have made 4 TDs. BUST!
  5. Positive? very little, honestly. Stroud does look comfortable in the transition, which surprised me, the runningbacks all look effective, parrish got involved in the middle, even though it was only one catch, and a few other minor things. The team obviously sucked, and if this is a shock to you, then you really don't get this team And if you are worried about the secondary, then I don't know what to say. The first stringers didn't look too hot today, but our secondary was AMAZING last year. So I am not going to worry about the secondary because of a preseason game. You can worry about them all you want though and laugh at a secondary that was one of the best in the league last year But it isn't like the bills didn't try to upgrade their positions of need: 1) They tried to get shanny 2) They tried to get mcnabb 3) They couldn't draft williams, okung. And what other legit LT was available that was worth that 9th spot? come on.... This team made a few improvements, and I expect them to only make more in the next offseason. like it or not, it is rebuilding mode year one. You can cry and complain all you want, but that is reality. There is no promise that a team will not be bad for 10 + years and there is no guarentee that a team will ever win. Deal with it. Or it your case, keep crying.
  6. I know, I have been hearing excuses from gaily and nix for 10 years now! I don't want them ready by the regular season. I want the perfect by preseason or lets run them out of town to the redskins like we chased mike williams and london fletcher so they can beat us in preseason! and yeah, missing most of your oline has nothing to do with it either I guess.....
  7. That is the only hope left watching this game. This team didn't even show any real flashes.
  8. Link? I willl look it up later when I am not on my phone, but it was national news.... mcnabb threatened that he wouldn't sign a new contract with us if we traded for him, so we didn't because we would have only had him for one year, making him a stop gap situation. and in case you missed the other news, bills did a lot to try and get shanny as well, including flying out there to meet him. If you don't know these things, you obviously don't have a clue what happened in the off season.
  9. yeah, screw nix for trying to get Mcnabb on our team. He never should have tried to get mcnabb
  10. I wouldn't call it stealing. I am going to watch it legally (at a bar) and the nfl isn't going to make any money off of me watching legally rather than illegally. The whole point is moot imo. It is really just a techincallity. And if they wanted to cutback on the "stealing" the nfl should make the product more available rather than forcing people into a dish service they don't want. MLB, NBA, and NHL don't have these kinds of issues, as much.
  11. their RBs are only out a few weeks. They will be ready for the season.
  12. I think one of the issues, as far as preseason goes, I don't think the Satellite companies carry the pre-season games. I have never seen them on in bars and from nfl.com, they aint on their schedule either. It sucks being out of the local market and trying to watch games, though I was lucky enough to get almost a third of the games last year in my home without having to go out to a bar.
  13. Kyle Orton Matt Leinheart Jake Dellome (post injury, of course) Tavaris Jackson (if favre don't come back) And you could argue, depending on how this season turns out: Jason Campbell Matt Cassel But as it looks now, edwards isn't a franchise QB and it is a position that really needs an upgrade, unless we get a miracle this season and edwards blooms.
  14. I don't think there is much of an answer. But I do think that one off season isn't enough to change it completly. I am just hoping in the long run, there are less injuries. There are some that are just unavoidable, like wood's. But hopefully injuries don't kills us like they have recently. And as far as this offseason goes, the phins and denver have had it way worse than us.
  15. it looks like it was from today, from bb.com http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/08/10/e...lf-for-a-while/
  16. mine is out in the open and is used as dart board. It would be used for target practice, but my landlord won't let me shoot off guns in the apartment.
  17. I need them to report it if i want to know what is going on. You know why? I can't be there every day of training camp. I work during the week and I live a thousand miles away. So unless I am going to quit my job and walk out on my family, the only way I know what is going on in camp is by reading it from....... the news!
  18. So you really think that when reporters ask him a question, he shouldn't say anything to them and just walk by? you are being ridiculous. It is one thing if he is talking trash or making public statements with no reason. and I don't care if he shuts his trap or not. Him shutting up isn't going to make him play better. And personally, I like having these defensive players supporting the coaching staff and new scheme.
  19. What are you talking about? He says he likes the new scheme. What is the point of backing that up? And he was asked how he liked the new scheme, so how do you want him to answer that? "no comment. Ganesh doesn't want me talking until I play better" . you make it seem like he is running his mouth and talking trash, and he isn't doing anything close to that. Most people here are even saying he has been too polite and quiet.
