  1. YOU are the one that isn't comprehending. NO ONE HERE SAID THEY WERE WORRIED You are putting words in peoples' mouths. Where in the first post did he say he was worried at all? He didn't. He was talking about a injury of an elite LT. If anyone is worried, it is the phins and Henne because one of their biggest strengths could become their biggest weakness. If you want to badger worried people, then go badger the phins fans. They are the ones that should be worried, no doubt.
  2. Really? If you look on the phins message boards right now, they are taking notes that we have 2 CBs that didn't practice yesterday. I guess they have no confidence either . Injuries are a pretty big factor and are talked about each week.... you must be new to football.
  3. By big numbers, I am sure he means sacks, interceptions, missed throws, check downs, and broken bones. go bills! Nice though that there are some players that pay respect to our team. Ill take it. I am hopin we have at least a decent year. Stranger things have happened.
  4. let's just hope that what he is saying is true and he plays well this season. I admit, I jumped on the Trent Band Wagon after that 4th game when we went 4-0..... of course, my feelings were shattered into a million pieces that season.
  5. I was one that really wanted to keep lynch, because of injuries and we are for sure going to run the ball a lot. But With Bell on the practice squad and him just being awesome during preseason, I really wouldn't mind trading lynch for a low 2nd rounder or a high 3rd rounder at this point. Though I wouldn't advocate it. I just wouldn't complain about it.
  6. I think Kyle Williams has a lot of trade value for a 4-3 team. He is a playmaker, young, and overall a solid player who isn't overpaid.
  7. This is the one I probably agree with the most. Yeah, but inteceptions don't mean anything. I mean, Byrd had how many last year? And you aren't sold on him, so I guess there is some other think to measure DBs by your standard to show they the "real deal." Because it looks like byrd, intception monster and ROTY candidate doesn't seem to be the real deal to you... so lord knows who is.
  8. No. I would have rather just kept TO instead.
  9. Well, he is a new coach.... so of course he is going to be compared to the person who he replaced. Just like how this team will be compared to last years team. It is how you discuss where the team is heading (up or down). And it is quite obvious why there isn't more depth on this team as far as the oline goes. This team had, and has, a lot of needs that they couldn't address every issue. They did address a lot of needs this offseason, so I don't believe they sat on their hands and did nothing. I don't know why you aren't looking at the big picture. There is more things that are needed than the oline, which was heavily addressed LAST year. But really, people ragged on Jauron a lot because they were so annoyed that he would say things like "they play hard and they are a good group." That pretty much meant they wouldn't get better. Gailey calling them out pretty much means that he is going to make them play harder. So, you might not like that a coach is going to get the players to play better, but some of us are happy about it.
  10. i don't think bills fans are in denial with trent. We know he sucks and has sucked for awhile. Now we are just praying to the football gods that Gaily makes him at least doable and that CJ spillar carries the offense into the promise land.
  11. Right now, hardy easy. And that new tight end, except we need another tight end until we get the other 2 back. but Hardy needs to go. 3 years in the league and you can't even tell the guy is on the field, meanwhile other recievers that are younger are learning faster than he is. But yeah, I think it is stupid to cut rookies right away beause they suck. It is different if you are planning on putting them on PS or something.... but who really expects rookies to be awesome? give me a break. Levi Brown, and UFA, looked about as good as brohm. Cut either brohm or fitz. Don't matter either way, they both suck the same for different reasons.
  12. The other problem with nelson is that, he is suspended for four games to begin with.
  13. 3rd might be too much, but I would be ok with it. A 4th, and it is a no brainer. I could see this trade happening only because we are so limited at TE. Otherwise, this frontoffice doesn't seem the type to make the deal.
  14. 7-9 means we are getting better. 1-15 means we hired the wrong coach, drafted the wrong players, and overall, got way worse. We go 1-15, that will completly just suck. screw a top 3 draft pick. It has done the lions and rams SO well already...
  15. I picked him up in one of my leagues, but not the rest of them. I kinda wish I took him in all of them after seeing him play more in preseason. Looks like he is going to be a 10 TD guy. Though that is way too premature. For my main league, I grabbed: QB- Rivers QB- Campbell WR Andre Johnson WR Mike Wallace WR Devin Hester RB Matt Forte RB Brandon Jacobs TE Whitten Flex Portis Kicker Tynes Def Eagles Backups RB Thomas jones WR Mckluster WR Victor Cruz RB Fred Jackson QB Josh freeman TE Dustin Keller WR Greg Camarillo It is a pretty deep league, so I think I did well.... I really could use Spillar, because a lot of my RBs have too many questionmarks. But some idiot grabbed spillar in like the 3rd round.
  16. The scouting department doesn't make the decisions....
  17. They didn't really slam us like others have. They just say we are starting over, we need some time to rebuild, and we aren't where the others are at right now. It is kind of just stating the obvious. Of course, i am hoping this team goes beyond these expectations.
  18. people can B word about the oline all they want, but the oline was heavily addressed in last years draft..... and I hate to say it, but the OLBs look way worse than the oline right now.... If I had to put in order of our needs, I would say 1) OLB 2) QB 3) T 4) C/MLB/WR
  19. He seems like he would be better suited to play on the outside as a pass rusher, but I guess there is somethine else there that I am missing.
  20. Well, you said it was naive to think that our QBs could start in Arizona. that would imply that you think Lienhart is not even close to as bad as trent edwards. Hey, you were the one calling people naive for thinking Edwards could start in Arizona. But apparently you don't have any reasoning to backup calling people naive And no one had to scrounge for Arizona. There are easy 5 times at least with a worse QB situation than us. Our sucks for sure and I can't wait to rid of edwards for good. But I was just answering your question. And the truth is, edwards would start on other nfl teams. If you wanted to discuss whether or not edwards sucks, then you should have made that poll. But your poll asked if any of the QBs would start on another team... so I guess you argree edwards could start in arizona.... so I guess you voted "yes" in your poll.
  21. Merle, could you please explain why you think lienhart is so much better than edwards, like I asked already?
  22. Like him, I thought the OP was talking about fred until I opened the article.
  23. you saw Green play in the first game? That is quite a trick. I think most people praised it as a depth move. Either way, this team needed tackles.
