  1. You have to scroll way down to an updated link, as the others are expired. Here's the updated link for you, on a silver platter!
  2. Thanks - VLC did work! I had never heard of it before... so I appreciate the tip.
  3. I have the most current versions of QuickTime, Real Player and WMP for Mac - and none of them recognize this particular file. To be truthful, I do not have any idea what the problem is. My guess is that the person who made it available used a proprietary Windows (WMP) format this is not backwards compatible.
  4. Windows Viruses: 140,000+ and counting Mac OS X Viruses: 0 As Tom Donahoe would say, "What's the question?"
  5. I have WMP 9 for Mac (that's as far as it goes) and it will not open it. Can you - or anyone - convert this to something that QuickTime can open? P.S. Yes, it's a little depressing... but there's something rather heartwarming and endearing about the commercial --- like, "it sucks to be us but we're all in this together" sort of theme.
  6. Here's the original source where I found it. [scroll down because the first few links are expired.] People there seemed to be able to view it... so if anyone can get it up and running, let us know! I'd really like to have this file, just for the fun of it.
  7. The Steelers Offence seems to doing a whole lot better without him these days!
  8. I found this file and downloaded it, but I cannot open it on my Mac using QuickTime, RealPlayer or Windows Media Player. Follow this link and click on the Buffalo Bills Stuff folder, where you'll see the ESPN Bills commercial. Let me know, anyone, if you have any luck. Thanks!
  9. He should have been 26-22, but we'll just give it to him.
  10. Maybe Jauron will be the defensive coordinator if Sherman gets the HC position. That would be cool with most of you, wouldn't it?
  11. God Bless You, Joe! I met him many years ago at an autograph signing in Elmira. (I still have that autographed photo somewhere in my attic.) He is my first #12! I've always known he's a good guy... but somewhere there's a touching story about his close friendship with Joe Delaney, who drowned trying to save two boys.
  12. Yeah, let's bring him to Buffalo where his head can really get messed up. While we're at it, give him jersey #11 and make him walk under a ladder after thirteen black cats wearing broken mirrors walk in front of him.
  13. Sorry. Any calls, good or bad, that go against the Patriettes are justified - forever!!!
  14. You nailed it... except I think it is CONSCIOUS bias! The NFL is similar to the legal profession in that it likes having nebulous, complicated rules so they can be conveniently interpreted to suit the situation (ie. home team/favorite team comeback to boost ratings). It sounds cynical, but I honestly believe that's what it's all about.
  15. No, something tells me that Leinart will be the next Ryan Leaf!
  16. Do you think it was worse than calling pass interference on a Hail Mary pass in the end zone with six guys jumping for it? [Note: See Just Give it to Them™] The Patsies can get screwed by calls every game for the next ten years and it won't balance out having two Super Bowl championships being handed to them. Apologies for bumping this thread - it's just that they've been talking about it on The Fan and it torqued me!
  17. Nope, you can't have it both ways. But that was a gut decision thing and Dungy let them start feeling their mojo. I think he did a great job there!
  18. I don't have a problem with it, and I bet Dungy doesn't either. Manning and his offense felt that they were getting to do or die terrtory. A coach "has to" make the call to punt there, but the offense was telling him "Trust us Coach, we can do this!" Dungy doesn't want to squelch that attitude and defers to the guys on the field. THAT is actually a good coaching decision! Way to go! The turnaround has begun.
  19. So am I. I'd like to see a real throwback Super Bowl between the Colts and Bears. (I like it because neither teams has screwed around with their classic uniforms - with the dreadful exception of those alternate orange Bears jerseys.) Should be a good game!
  20. I guess "hate" is just a personal, subjective thing, eh? (BTW, the old-time Cowboys under Landry were not showboaters or hotdogs. I've always hated them because they were the annointed "America's Team".)
  21. That's not why I hate the Patsies, though. I have a whole list of teams I despise, another list of ones I like, and a list of those about which I am indifferent (that's the longest list of all). Once upon a time I actually liked the Patriots. McPherson was the coach, a classy guy, Grogan was the QB and stand-up guys like Hannah were on their line. I started hating the Patsies after the "Just Give it to Them™" game. There are reasons too numerous to list why I now hate the Patsies, but their success isn't one of them. Their success only means I have to watch them more frequently... Get it? P.S. One team on my perpetual hate list is Dallas. I never wish them any good fortune - ever!
  22. Joe, can't you sense that the planets have realigned? The reality of it hit me when Viniateri (sp?) missed a gimme field goal, and when the refs made no move to help Marcia and Company get back in the game. I'm not saying we'll beat the Patsies twice, but I think we WILL beat them at home next season. The Jets can easily beat them at least once, too. And "given" wins against the Packers and Titans... just for "showing up???" Especially after their coaches get cherry-picked by other teams? The former World Champs will struggle to be 8-8, trust me. The Patriettes' run of dominance is over. Only the hubris remains.
  23. WHAAAA!!!! The Refs Screwed the Patsies!!!! You'll also enjoy the post by NCPatsFan:
  24. You mean like hanging around an opponent's bulletin board rubbing the other team's fan noses in your "Dynasty" threads? We should all aspire to be classy trolls like you.
