  1. Any money the company saved on insurance premiums will be eaten up in lawsuits; and then they'll be paying the higher insurance premium anyway once the courts block the action. CW
  2. Please, that's SOOO weak the "well the ball COULD have been intercepted on that play, so the QB sucks!" The same never holds true when the receiver drops the ball though. News flash -- lots of QBs have balls dropped that "could" have been intercepted. It's called football CW
  3. Didn't see a passer's mental block on September 7th, 2003. CW
  4. So getting 9 wins with JPL is good, but 9 wins with DB and he should be cut? And I'm pretty sure a lot of defensive contracts will be up after next year... Meaning I'm not sure what our defense will look like in '06. CW
  5. Would you take an original Monet painting and cut it down to fit your picture frame? CW
  6. Yeah, but it wasn't just on sports talk shows. It was in almost every article written about the play, every recap of the game, etc. CW
  7. So how long have you been a football fan for? That was very common knowledge. It been talked about on every sports show for weeks following the game. CW
  8. Started working on it yesterday (that's why I watched it). Hopefully by the end of the week *crosses fingers* CW
  9. I didn't ask you what you thought the team's record would be, I asked what your reaction would be if they DID suck that bad. Say what you will, but the only game that DB could be pegged with the loss is the Patriots. SO things COULD be much worse than they were this year. CW
  10. I'm all for an open competition in camp; that said, cutting DB now is *not* the right move for a team that missed the playoffs by 1 game in *two* out of the last 3 seasons.. CW
  11. A couple of years? So if JPL starts and we suck (4-12, 5-11), you won't complain at all and will just say "He'll do better next season!" CW
  12. "Everybody" will be ready to lynch JPL the minute he falters as well. I guarantee that if he throws 4 INTs in his first game, everyone will be saying, "We should've kept Bledsoe! I've said that all along!" or "I told you we should've signed [insert veteran QB here]! Why did we start JPL, the guy sucks!!!!" Guaranteed. It happened with TC, it happened with AVP, it happened with RJ, it happened with DF, it happened with DB, and it will happen with JPL. CW
  13. All I'm saying is that the people who think we havn't been competitive or that we're the worst team in the leauge are WAY off base. There's definately room for improvement, but we've only had one losing season in the past 3 years... Reading the posts here over the past few years and you'd think that we're looking up at the Cardinals, and that's just not the case. There's LOTS of room for us to fall. CW
  14. Again, you do realize that we've missed the playoffs by one game in the last 2 out of 3 seasons, right? CW
  15. So you're saying that only 6 teams actually took DB's weaknesses into account? We did win 9 games, and only lost to 6 teams... CW
  16. Are you talking about the Bills/Broncos preseason game where Mularky called a QB draw on the first play? From listening to Mularky on that call, it sounded like he just wanted Losman to get his first NFL hit out of the way. I don't remember ever reading/hearing that he was being coached to run first (aside from the one playcall, which isn't really coaching). I watched the "Sounds of the Game" yesterday, and that's what I saw. CW
  17. I'm pretty sure that, at least in Minnesota, they'd get more than $15/ticket. I paid $33/ticket to see the Golden Gophers play hockey a couple of weeks ago, and I paid $25/ticket to watch the Minnesota Swarm (NLL.com - Indoor Lacrosse). Speaking of which, if you live in Bufflao, you should support the Bandits (if they're not being heavily supported already). Indoor Lacrosse is an awesome sport. I was at the first ever game for the Bandits in '92 and the Minnesota Swarm last Friday... Have yet to see the home team win a game... Maybe this Friday? CW
  18. And along the same lines, if they know we're cutting DB, why would they trade for him? Talk to his agent before the cut and say "Hey, we want you to start here and will offer $X!" They get the player AND the pick... CW
  19. How would we take less of a cap hit? Cutting or trading gives the same result on the cap from what I understand... CW
  20. Where do pizza and wings enter into the equation? CW
  21. In other news, the Bills are prepared to keep Rob Johnson, no wait, Doug Flutie! No wait, Rob Johnson! These writers are making wild speculations, just like the fans here. Nobody knows what's going to happen. They write articles about things people are talking about in order to sell papers. That's all there is to it. I'm still worried about Losman because with what I saw of him in the preseason and limited regular season play, he looks to want to run first and throw second, and that won't win a lot of games. I just hope that he can be coached out of doing that. CW
  22. Speaking of Metallica... I'm currently listening to "Apocalyptica" - Master of Puppets. They do covers of Metallica songs but have no vocals and are using electric violin, etc. Very cool music. CW
  23. http://www.mozilla.org CW
  24. Looks fine to me (Mozilla 1.7.3). Make sure you have the latest version...? I know what you mean -- I've seen tons of sites that are "broken," but Buffalobills.com doesn't appear to be one of them (at least not on the front page). CW
  25. I never said what they did yesterday was running up the score. But to say that the Pats organization is classy and doesn't do things like that, that's the part I scoffed at. When did Belichek join the Pats? '99? CW
