  1. I like how she says that she never buys anything for herself, that everything goes for her kids. But if you check out previous auctions, you get: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=5924347006 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4963422745 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=6714213855 I guess her kids need a wig, a CZ engagement ring, and some fancy dresses. CW
  2. There you go, letting facts get in the way of a good anti-Bledsoe rant. What were you thinking?! I'd also like to see the so-called proof that DB is leaving. All I see is speculation; havn't heard anything from DB, TD, RW, etc, etc, etc. Not saying that it definately won't happen, but there were a lot of "reports" that said Lewis was going to be our HC, and look where that ended up. CW
  3. Contrary to the stereotype, there's no reason that you HAVE to drink or use drugs if you're a rock star. That's a choice to make. On the other hand, you wouldn't be much of a football player if you weren't being hit or doing the hitting. CW
  4. Hey, the Bills couldn't have done any worse with Reich in that game. They lost, remember? CW
  5. That's nothing compared to the "let's wait on the overpass of the highway when GW is leaving and shoot him in the head as he drives by," or "Let's drag Gilbride out behind his house and kick the crap out of him now that he's been released." The quality of the board has severely dropped in the past few years. Check out some of the archives and you'll see what I mean. CW
  6. Cool! LaSalle Sr. used to always get to the state finals and lose to a team in NYC. CW
  7. Tough call. I picked rock star, only because you still have your health when you're done... Assuming you don't drink and drug it up. CW
  8. You responded to that, but why not the counter-argument? CW
  9. You wanted to make a separate post to discuss the exact same issue that was currently being discussed in another post. Wow, good for you. And to back it up with "are you an administrator?" Whew, can't compete with that, can I? I'd search for the thread on posting rules (complete with video), but I doubt you'd care to even read it. Probably against union rules or somesuch. CW
  10. Talk about the ultimate LAMP post... You post the same thing in the other thread, but have to break this out separate? THAT says it all. CW
  11. I just did a quick survey of five games and found the following: Seattle: 28 rushes, 6 for 0 or less yards (21.4%) Miami: 23 rushes, 5 for 0 or less yards (21.7%) Cleveland: 27 rushes, 6 for 0 or less yards (22.2%) Cinciy: 11 rushes, 4 for 0 or less yards (36.4%) Pittsburgh: 18 rushes, 5 for 0 or less yards (27.8%) Total for 5 games: 24.3% of rushes for 0 or less yards Note that the Pittsburgh game was against the "scrubs" that everyone's bashing DB for not defeating single-handedly. Looks to me like WM had a crappy game as well. And, since stats mean little in a vaccuum, I calculated the plays against our defense: Seattle: (Alexander): 13 rushes, 4 for 0 or less yards (30.8%) Miami (Minor): 20 rushes, 2 for 0 or less yards (10%) Cincy (Johnson): 23 rushes, 2 for 0 or less yards (8.7%) San Fran (Barlow): 15 rushes, 0 for 0 or less yards (0.0%) Pittsburgh (Parker): 19 rushes, 5 for 0 or less yards (26.3%) Total: 14.4% of rushes for 0 or less yards (note that I didn't even look at Cleveland's numbers against us because they had around 2 yards of total offense and figured that would skew the stats a bit). So, one of the best defenses in the league only managed to hit the back in the backfield 14.4% of the time, whereas our opponents are doing it 24.3% of the time. Also, one of those games was against "backup scrubs that DB couldn't beat," and of the other four, only one was a playoff team. I think it's easy to see that McGahee has way more than his fair share of rushes for 0 or less yards, especially considering we had one of the best defenses in the league and even Travis Minor was only hit behind the line 10% of the time. Against Pittsburgh (you know, the team with scrubs in), he was hit behind the line 27% of the time; try to tell me that's not the OL. CW
  12. Bleeding heart or communist, your pick. CW
  13. I never said WM was a bad back -- my point was that the OL isn't very good. And neither was Detroit's. If Barry had Buffalo, Washington, or Dallas's OL (at the time), think of how scary-good he would've been. CW
  14. That'd be all well in good regarding WM if the same thing didn't happen with TH in there. But it did (remember the Raiders game?). So WM gets hit behind the line... TH gets hit behind the line... DB gets hit behind the line... But it's not the OL? Also remember that our starting LT is a free agent, as well as our backup LT (Price), and it's going to be really hard to keep the status quoue, let alone improve. Also remember that it's still purely rumor that Buffalo is starting JPL; the media has been wrong in the past ("We're starting Flutie!" and "We're hiring Lewis!" come to mind). Don't count your chickens. CW
  15. Wasn't Willis in the top-3 for plays that went for 0 yards or negative yards? That's an indication of a poor OL. If you're hit in the backfield before you can even take the 2-3 steps to get back to the LOS, you have a bad line. How many times did we have 3rd and 1 and fail to convert? I know it happened against the Raiders on the goalline with TH. It happened against the Patriots (and we were forced to go for it on 4th down). If the running game is a "major strength," shouldn't they be abel to pick up one measily yard more often than not? Here's some of his poor games: Bengals: 11 rushes, 25 yards, 14 long (meaning 10 rushes for 11 yards the rest of the game). Patriots: 14 rushes, 37 yards, 11 long Raiders: 2 rushes, -3 yards (ouch) He's a great RB, but I have to put these crappy numbers squarely on the OL. 2 rushes for -3 yeards?! 10 rushes for 11 yards?! Come on! To see these stats and say that our OL and running game is a strength is crazy. CW
  16. And before everyone jumps down your throat, nobody's saying DB didn't make mistakes - the interception he threw was bad. The fumble was borderline bad (although they did blitz from that side of the field). But to pin the whole game (or even a majority) on the QB is dumb IMHO. But these are the same people who think a 9-7 season is a guarantee next year if JPL is playing (can't do any worse than DB). I hope they're right, and I better not read any complaints if we suck next year. CW
  17. The defense was exhausted? That's BS. Buffalo had just completed a *15* play drive when Lindell missed the fieldgoal that would've put us up by *4* points instead of 1. After the missed fieldgoal on a FIFTEEN PLAY drive (ie: plenty of time to rest), and with Buffalo AHEAD by a point, they allowed Willie Parker (who?) to run 58 yards and get a go-ahead fieldgoal. Tell me again why the defense should be exhausted after a 15 play, 7+ minute drive? That's a weak argument, try again. Fact of the matter is, blame Bledsoe for giving up 10 points, fine, whatever. But there were plenty of other plays by other people in that game AND other games that would've put us in the playoffs as well. TH doesn't stumble on his feet aginst Oakland. and scores wins that game. NC bats the ball down on 4th down against the Jags wins that game. WM gets the 1 yard on 3rd and 1 against the Patriots and maybe we win that game (on 4th and long, Bledsoe went back to pass, we missed a block up front, and he fumbles). We had our chances, but there were plenty of screwups by players other than Bledsoe that also cost us the playoffs. Of course, by reading the posts around here you'd think we went 2-14 instead of being 1 game out of the playoffs for two of the past three seasons. But drink the Kool Ade, we can't get any worse with Steve's grandma playing QB. CW
  18. See, it's quotes like this that make the Drew-bashers/JP-lovers lose all credibility. We can do no worse than 9-7?!?!?!! WTF is that? If we were 4-12 this year, fine, maybe I'd agree with you. But we had a freak'n winning record this year! In case you havn't noticed, I think our record put us in the top-third of the league. Last I checked, we beat three playoff teams last year. Believe what you want, but we COULD fall a long way. If JP starts, I'll be rooting him on as I would for any player, but to blindly say we can be no worse with any other QB in there is just plain stupid when we've had one losing record in the past three seasons. CW
  19. So *that's* how you got your porn job! Thanks for the clarification CW
  20. Yeah, I meant that in a good (aka: jealous) way. CW
  21. Wasn't that same all-pro CB responsible for losing the Jags game? You know, the game that had we won would've put us in the playoffs? Or was it Moulds who fumbled on the 5-10 yard line? It's easy to blame one player, Unfortunately, football is a team sport, so it's never really that simple. CW
  22. There doesn't appear to be an MSP 8, only 7. There's Video Studio 8, but that doesn't have the same functionality as MSP. Did you leak info on a new version that's in the pipeline?! CW
  23. Cheap tickets... Hell, I paid $200/ticket for indoor Lacrosse (Go Minnesota Swarm! Beat the Toronto Rock tonight!). The Bills, Sabres, and food are the only three things I miss from WNY. CW
  24. I know - I was just making sure the original poster (and others who read it) know the pros and cons. The only potential issue is if your editor doesn't support AC3 audio (Ulead MSP 6.5 doesn't...). Then you have to demux the file and convert the AC3 to WAV, then back to AC3; a hassle, but worth it IMHO. I should check if the newer version supports AC3, as it would save some time (Besweet is a free utility that does it though). CW
