I have a couple questions regarding Bledsoe
Fezmid replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For the record, Bledsoe actually does the rollout very well. For example, he threw "two" TD passes on rollout plays against the Titans last year ("two" is in quotes, because bone-head Shaw thought to raise the ball to show the ref instead of actually making the catch... And technically it was a 2-point conversion, not a TD, he dropped). I agree with your points on mobility et al, but the common misconception is that DB doesn't do rollouts, and he actually does it well (both here and in NE). CW -
Official DB fluffer/JP basher thread!
Fezmid replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All of which are true. How is that bashing? Saying things like, "Anybody would've done better than Bledsoe did this year," "Bledsoe is a freak'n statue and never moves out of the pocket," "pat pat pat boom!" is bashing, as it's not even based in fact (ie: his sack rate was roughly 1/game once we had a RB who could pick up the blitz). Pointing out what we've seen from the limited activity JPL has had isn't bashing IMHO. CW -

That's why I exagerated You did say that he hit 'em though, despite reports to the contrary that point to Losman hitting TV. CW -

Reading comprehension not your strong suit? Apparantly you have your own view of the way things are, but don't actually base that on fact. (ie: "Vincent plastered Losman and he was wearing a red shirt!!!!!!!!!!" Ummm, ok). Also havn't seen anyone bash JP, only seen concerns posted and they're all valid until he proves otherwise. the Devil's Advocate - why cut him?
Fezmid replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where does it say that they dumbed it down? It says that they couldn't run a short passing attack, which is not even related to simplifying the offense. Try again. CW -
I have a couple questions regarding Bledsoe
Fezmid replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eisen on NFL Network said that the Cowboys were talking about trading for Bledsoe but when they realized the Bills were going to cut him, they figured they'd just wait and sign him. Take it for what it's worth. CW -
It's one thing to argue letting Drew go but...
Fezmid replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And how do you know Vincent hit the QB to teach him a lesson? How do you know Vincent even hit the QB? From what I remember, the Bills were relatively quiet on the matter and the "official" word was that he was sliding towards Vincent or something like that and there was a freak accident. From what I've read of the situation, you're just guessing as to what happened. Unless there was an article that I missed? CW -
It's one thing to argue letting Drew go but...
Fezmid replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He threw an interception AND had a fumble... In the span of what, 5 plays? I don't care if it's garbage time or not, those turnovers were a direct result of him having happy feet; he seems to run at the drop of a hat (even quicker than Flutie did) and that exposes the ball. That has nothing to do with "garbage time." Shane Matthews played some in garbage time and he went 2/3 and had a TD (and no turnovers). I'm not calling him a bust, I'm not bashing him, I'm just saying that based on the mop-up duty he had, as well as preseason, you have blinders on if you don't have any concerns about him. CW -

I havn't really seen anybody bash him. I've seen concerns on his durability (he was hurt in practice, not even RJ got hurt there), and conern based on the limited action he's seen where he seems to get happy feet and run instead of pass (ala Vick). I've also seen concern (from me at least) in that he has two turnovers and only five pass attempts in his regular-season career. Havn't seen any bashing yet. Don't worry though, it'll come. CW -
Thanks I love doing it (but will love it more when I get a new computer that does it faster. ). CW

(OT) Which Bills DVD should I do next?

I understand completely. CW -

I should see if they're replaying that at all on NFL Network... If not, that might be kinda cool. CW -

Fezmid replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rubes has that and (last I heard) is working on transferring it to DVD. When he does, I'll provide it to people here. Not sure if I can watch it, but I'd like to try.... Shouldn't you be studying??? (anyone have a copy of it? I could probably put it as a special feature, depending on how long it is. ). CW -
I think I have time to do another game, so which one do TSW members want to see next? I don't think I have any of the losses from this year (deleted them), but I think I still have all of the wins. CW

You could always break the disk and just order against when you're done with the LSAT CW

What'd ESPN say? That he'd probably make it? Might make it? What? CW

I finally caught up with the backlog of DVD orders, so if you recently ordered some DVDs from me, they were put in the mail this morning and you should have them by the weekend. That said, I'll offer them up again. Here's the thread: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...64entry242764 Of particular interest due to today's news would be the Bills/Broncos preseason game and the NFL Network "Sounds of the Game" feature. If you havn't seen it yet, you don't know what you're missing; they put microphones on a couple dozen people and you get to hear a lot of behind the scenes stuff that you wouldn't normally get to hear. It's *really* good (like when the offensive line yells at JPL for running out of bounds near the end of the game and say something like, "Hey man, stay in bounds so we can get home to our wives!"). It's really one of the best football features I've ever seen. Anyway, $1/game, $4/shipping, tips accepted but not required. PM me for payment info. EDIT: Anyone find the special hidden feature on the "Sounds of the Game" disk? PM me to keep it a secret CW

I wasn't comparing the two; just pointing out that people who think DB was sacked every other play are, in a word, wrong. CW
-
Once WM was put in as the starter, DB was sacked just as frequently as Tom Brady (ie: average of slightly over 1 per game). Check the stats. CW

anyone catch DB's comments about JP!
Fezmid replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get a clue -- not all players that are drafted become good NFL players, even though they appear that they will when drafted. Are you trying to be contrary just for the fun of it? Or do you really think that, just because he played for a (lousy) college team that he's going to be a good QB? You have NO way of knowing until he gets out there. I'll quote what I said in my previous post in case you don't get it: "I hope JPL can do it, but it's all speculation for now (even for the coaches)." Note that I don't say, "He's gonna rock," nor do I say, "He's going to suck." I said we don't know. And if you disagree with that, then I guess there's nothing more to say about it. CW -
So says the guy with over 15,000 posts (sorry, couldn't resist) CW

Fezmid replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely different situation. Brady proved what he could do before Drew was cut. JPL has 5 passes and two turnovers. I hope JPL can do it, but it's all speculation for now (even for the coaches). CW -
He only had 10 rushes for 20+ yards all year... He had 5 rushes for 0 yards or less against Pittsurgh alone. That tells me that both the OL and WM need to improve next year. CW

You're comparing WM to Barry Sanders?! Hey look, it works in reverse too. *sigh* CW
