I'm pretty sure that Bledsoe will be retiring long before all of those players, except possibly Favre. CW

I was going to post the same thing. Their soup is ok. Other than that... Blech. Anyone in the Twin Cities area that wants some REALLY good (fancy) Italian food should check out Mama Maria's in North Hudson. It's REALLY good. http://www.explorewisconsin.com/MamaMariasItalianRestaurant/ I'm 50% Italian (my grandmother and mother both came over in 1954), and I love the food there. CW

April movies: What do you want to see the most

True... But I'm willing to give it a chance So Long, and thanks for all the fish! CW -
I think the franchise may have shutdown most of their locations. My wife and I noticed a local Damon's in the Twin Cities was gone as well. Their list of locations on the website seems very small now as well: http://www.ribsribsribs.com/locations.htm CW

And if it doesn't, you can add your own. That said, I have to work this Sunday at 5am... That REALLY sucks when DST goes into effect CW

Scouts Inc. draft grades
Fezmid replied to a player to be named later's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll admit that's a possibility; however, Green Bay and St. Louis both said that they were targetting him with their first round pick. Doesn't mean multiple teams weren't willing to reach for him. CW -

I didn't realize that kickers and punters worked out in the weight room. "It puts the lotion... in the basket!" CW -
Who was the better alternative? Who was the better alternative? Who was the better alternative? Who was the better alternative? Who was the better alternative? Shane "I was sitting on the couch until the Bills called me" Matthews? We went 9-7 and generated considerable buzz. Vincent was MUCH cheaper than AW. Who was the better alternative? You can't complain about keeping Bledsoe, and then complain about JPL. Looks to me like you didn't actually follow your own advice about looking at who else is available. CW

Ahh, I get it now. CW

Huh? What's that have to do with my questioning the phrase "could care less?" CW
-
No, I didn't use the smilie! CW

There's that phrase again... I posted this in another thread: As an aside, shouldn't the phrase really be, "I couldn't really care less?" I mean, "could really care less" means that you care a bit, and that there is a lower level of caring that you could do. It's never made any sense to me. Maybe I should see if I can find the origin of the phrase and why it's "could care less." CW

You apparantly do if you not only read, but also responded to a thread about him. CW

1) After Bledsoe, our QB is Shane Mathews who is ~36 years old. Can't have your starter and backup both being that old IMHO. You need someone to grow into the position. Nobody else in the '04 draft was going to be able to start in a couple of seasons. The '05 draft is considered a weaker draft with no QB prospects (that I've seen), so unless they drafted one of the "big 4" last year, we wouldn't be able to start grooming a talented new QB until '06. By then Mathews would be nearly 40 and Bledsoe would be around 35, and that's without any grooming time. 2) Personally, I think it was partially a business move to generate some buzz so they wouldn't look complacent. I hope that what they've seen in practice makes them think JPL will be a good starter as well. They'd be stupid if they didn't think that and still made the move, so I'm assuming it's true. Look, I"m not arguing that Bledsoe is the best QB of all time. He's not. But the naysayers keep spouting off crap like, "Bledsoe sucks!" and that's not true either. We've had only one losing season in the last three. He went to the Probowl and was named Comeback player of the year. In the '03 season, where we struggled badly, 60% of his offense was cut (Centers, JR, PP) and everyone expected some problems there because of it. Reading posts here, you'd think DB led us to a 2-14 season last year, but we had a winning record. How can he be the worst QB in the world and still have a winning record? And I don't buy the comments, "The rest of the team bailed him out" because that's just a copout. Then to read comments that Doug Williams was a great QB who should be in the HoF but Bledsoe has no chance? Come on. People are starting to get a bit dillusional around here. CW

Hitchhiker's Guide for me. CW -
Yup. Another interesting player to look at has 50 more INTs than TDs and completed only 50.1% of his passes. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/NamaJo00.htm CW

That can't be, because his QB rating sucks (and that's the main stat people seem to reference). If you're going to make a statement like that, at least look at the stats. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/WillDo01.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/BledDr00.htm CW

Bills DVDs available - fundraiser for Campy

Everytime there's a post about how someone has money, people start posting negative comments about that person. Every time. CW
-
Oh look, more hatred and, dare I say, jealousy over someone who has more money than themselves. The guy came from nothing and made something of himself and wans to spend that money on season tickets for the Dodgers (god knows why), and all people here can say is, "He has too much money." The guy's 86 years old, baseball is obviously one of his true passions, he's had season tickets since day one, yet you would begrudge him his seats because he "has too much money?" And he's not even complaining about it, as much as sighing wistfully about it. To all of you who are jealous of what his hard work has gained him... Darn the red smiley is gone. Personally, I commend the guy for his silent protest. CW

Definately interested, but no time to convert them at the moment. If you're offereing to convert them to DVD... CW -
I thought the only stat that mattered was wins? And especially wins against "good" teams? Heck, Buffalo's had a better record than the Vikes 2 out of the last three seasons (and we play in a tougher conference!)! But you're saying Bledsoe sucks because we didn't make the playoffs, and Culpepper doesn't because he has good stats? You're starting to swap opinions more than T-Bone. CW
