  1. Way to ignore the part where I ask, "Since when was average bad?" And guessing who we COULD have taken makes this even MORE revisionist than even you usually partake in. We COULD have taken Emmitt Smith instead of JD Williams back in the day, but we didn't... CW
  2. And since when was average bad? Ty Warren has been average at best. How does that make this the worst trade ever...?? CW
  3. Well then, Dante Culpepper and Payton Manning sure suck in big games too Fine, I'll use your own definition then - games with Playoff implications: Bills/Rams week 11 Bills/Seahawks week 12 (note that both of those games were against teams that MADE the playoffs, and were games that we needed to win to stay in the chase) Bills/Dolphins week 13 Bills/Browns week 14 Bills/Bengals week 15 (note that the Bengals game closed the door on them being able to make the playoffs) Bills/49ers week 16 All 6 of those games had direct playoff implications -- lose and we would've had no shot. I'm just using your definition of a "big game." CW
  4. Yes, there will always be people who learn this stuff. My point though was that kids aren't being exposed to it, so they're less likely to get hooked on it IMHO. I know that my dad never changed the oil or anything with his car and because of that I never got interested in cars. I wish it was a skill I had tried to develop, but I didn't. If I had been exposed to it at an early age, maybe I'd be a mechanic today instead, who knows? I just think it's closing doors for kids now that you can't really see under the hood of a computer anymore without a lot of work. CW
  5. 31-0? Bills/Dolphins Snow Bowl? Bills/Vikings OT game? There've been others, but none of those were big games? BF: I'd say that Ty Warren has not been better on the field than Bledsoe was for us. I'll admit that his career is still very young and that could very well change, but at this point in time, I'd rather have had Bledsoe for the last three years than Warren the last two. CW
  6. TS2068, C64, C128, Amiga500, Apple ][e, etc. The OS was in ROM (instead of on disk). CW
  7. Would it have been so hard to go to Patriots.com (ok, that part was... ), click on Seymore's name on the roster, and see when he was drafted, even if you were 101% sure? Sorry, but that's just one of my big pet peeves -- when people make statements, claim them as fact, and don't actually research first. Before you know it, everyone's saying that Buffalo has thrown the ball 188 straight times on 3rd and 3 or less. CW
  8. WTF? I gave you real advice! CW
  9. Nowadays everyone would be calling for the GMs head for making such a stupid trade. Nobody has the patience to wait 8 years.... Puts things in perspective though, doesn't it? CW
  10. Once again, people making statements without actually basing them in facts. Because honestly, what fun are facts? Please explain to me how the Patriots drafted Seymour with the first rounder from the Bledsoe trade, yet Seymore was drafted in 2001. http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=...erbio&bio=11315 In reality, the Patriots drafted Ty Warren: http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=...erbio&bio=23696 While Warren's s been servicable, I'd hardly consider him great by any stretch of the imagination. The trade isn't as lopsided as you're making it out to be (if it's lopsided at all, and even if you ignore the Price for 1st rounder that DB got us; you don't think AVP could've given Price those gaudy numbers, do you?) CW
  11. Last year I bought four tickets on the 20 yard line, right by where the ref does the replays for about $80/ticket off of eBay. Got a great picture of the guy in front of us trying to bribe the ref too http://www.fezam.com/gallery/view_photo.ph...day&id=DSC03367 http://www.fezam.com/gallery/view_photo.ph...day&id=DSC03368 Tickets really aren't that hard to get ahold of. CW
  12. What was so horrible about the Bledsoe trade? He sold a ton of tickets, revived interest in a franchise that was going down the tubes. He then took us back to the "average" from well below average, setting a ton of records along the way. The old timers will have FAR WORSE trades than that one. CW
  13. Ok, just checking. I didn't want to mention the QB, because I'd then be called out for "loving Bledsoe" again. And people say I'm wearing the rose colored glasses. Oh well CW
  14. Ummm, when did we upgrade both lines? I see downgrades... CW
  15. You said the winner of the bet sends the check again..... Are you a lawyer, trying to trick him up on a technicality? CW
  16. Also, shouldn't the loser write a check to the winner, who in turn writes the check to Hunter's Hope? The winner should at least get a tax writeoff out of it, no? CW
  17. If you're going to stand somewhere, pick the deep fryer by the CNJBBB. That way as soon as Rich takes 'em out of the oil, you can eat them CW
  18. That's right! He completed three passes last year and only gave the ball to the opponent twice! He's seasoned! CW

  20. Don't get tested by MLB, or you'll be suspended Get well soon! CW
  21. Definately not a fact, but the odds are against any new starting QB in their first year. There are definately exceptions, but more often than not, they don't play well in their first year. CW
  22. Exactly. I wonder if LA is going to have his "free dinner" contest again...? CW
  23. Why would I be pissed? Because a player is feeding the company line? All I've said (over and over and over) is that we don't know what JPL will bring to the table this year. Nobody does. He could be an improvement. He could be the same. He could be a detriment. Nobody, even the coaching staff, knows for sure. Remember, the coaches (and all the fans) thought that RJ was going to take us to the Superbowl. Besides, WM also said he's the best player in the NFL. So you have to take what he says with a grain of salt CW
  24. It's only a theoretical improvement at QB. It could also be a downgrade for all we know. I'd be shocked if we go 12-4. We havn't improved any part of our team (except, theoretically, maybe the QB), have lost a couple of OL, a dominating DT, and (potentially) a HB who gets a lot of yards (but sometimes fumbles and usually misses blocks and can't catch too well), yet we're going to improve by 3 full games this year? I hope so, but I don't see it... Not to say we can't sneak into the playoffs, but I don't see us as a dominant team yet. That said, if we're just as competitive as last year, it'll still be a fun season. CW
