As if there was any doubt, I was already planning on doing that CW

I'm going to the Bills/Packers scrimmage. Safety in numbers? CW

She was good on the ScreenSavers -- but once G4 took over, they changed her look (to terrible) and killed the show. Used to be interesting, now all they do is screw around. http://leoville.com/blog/index.php/TLR/com...e-of-the-bleep/ CW

So LA is the one who writes those messages inside of fortune cookies. Genious! CW PS: Drywall is hopefully going to be done today, Dricore floor on Monday.

I didn't think one looked any more or less difficult than the other to be honest. She made it look harder than it needed to be by acting like a jerk to her employees. Way to build morale -- "The worker trying to tell the boss what to do???" and "They can act like the employees and walk off ahead, I'll act like the executive." Then when she snuck past them to get into the limo, that was ridiculous. My wife's liked Tanna pretty much from day 1. I've hated her -- she's so FAKE it isn't funny. When she's saying things like, "Oh, you did sooooo good!" you can just tell that she's thinking, "You're a freak'n moron!" Hate those kind of people with a passion. Kendra rocks. I think she's had some serious emotional problems in her past, but she still doesn't an awesome job. She's got the job, hands down. CW

Yeah, that's my problem too - I'm risk averse. CW

Good -- I didn't want Brien. He was run out of Minnesota in midseason for a reason. CW

I don't remember the exact details, but it seemed very similar to me. CW

He hadn't seen the other two teams ALL race, and he thought that a 30 minute yield would push them both to 4th place? Exactly why I don't think Rob/Amber were as smart as people were making them out to be. They would've been eliminated long ago if not for their celebrity status in the various cities. How do you figure? Or are you talking about the airplane thing again? If so, remember that Rob/Amber had that same advantage earlier in the race. Nobody got "screwed;" the gray area rules seemed to be applied evenly. CW
-
There were 4 teams left at that time, and the 3rd place team would NOT lose their money. The last place team was eliminated; the only time you "only" lose your money is when it's a non-elimination round and anybody who has watched the show knows that there's a non elimination round when they get down to three teams. If they would've yielded Uchenna and Joyce, those two would've been elininated (because the bus thing was pretty close if I recall) and Meredith/Gretchen would've been in the final three. Rob and Amber would've cleaned house. CW

Now you're referencing fictional characters? How the hell was I supposed to know that a cool guy like you even knew what Star Trek was? Apparantly you're more of an uberdork than I am. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=books&n=507846 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=books&n=507846 CW -
Condolenses. 12 years is really good for that breed of dog though; my wife and I were thinking about getting a dog ourselves and seriously considered the King Charles Spaniel. The health problems scared us off because we didn't want to risk losing a member of the family after only 4-6 years. Remember the good times. CW

But I thought you said that Dr. Spock was a big part of the problems we're having in society? CW -
I wouldn't call it a fix or an unfair advantage; as was pointed out, Rob and Amber had the same thing happen to their benefit earlier in the race. Also, I wouldn't say that they used their brains all the time -- they had a ton of help because people knew who they were. That's rather unfair, no? I lost a lot of respect for Rob and Amber's decision making ability when they had the yeild and decided to yeild the POW and beauty queen who were in 2nd place. It doesn't make any sense to yield the people right behind you because all you gain is a better shot at the #1 spot on that leg. There's ALWAYS equalizers, so it won't help you in the future. They SHOULD have yielded Uchena (sp) and Joyce -- the eventual winners -- because they were a bigger threat and were further behind. By yielding them, you have a better chance of Gretchen and Merideth getting 3rd place on that leg, and eliminating E&J. It's short-sighted to yeidl the 2nd place people just so you can get first place on a single leg. CW

It fluxuates. Sometimes I can go a week with only one or two short 20 minute calls, sometimes we get calls at 3am and end up putting in 40 extra hours in for the week. For example, one day towards the beginning of March, we had a server fail and I was up from 4am until 1am getting it fixed. The next day was from 8am-1pm, then 9pm-midnight. Ick. This week's been pretty bad too. Last week there were no calls. For the most part, it just depends on how many hardware problems the servers are experiencing. I do occasionally get comp time off though, generally at a 2-for-1 rate (ie: work 16 extra hours, get one day off). However, I pretty much have to carry a cell phone with me all the time, just in case. Even when my wife and I went to ENgland for our honeymoon, my manager wanted the hotel's phone number, "just in case." That's the problem with being the senior guy... Just ask mcJeff, I'm sure he's experienced the same things in the past. Overall though, my job's good and I can't complain; it's very flexible which is nice (ie: I'm working from home today and tomorrow so the drywaller can do the basement). CW

I actually do like this weather better than 90+ degree weather. But I prefer it a LITTLE warmer... This isn't very typical though; it's 10 degrees colder than usual, and it was in the 60s last week and early this week. brihs2005: This area is actually very nice, if not a bit expensive. Don't let one cold day get you down. This is downright WARM compared to some days we have during the winter CW

I guess I should've read the weather forecast last night and not left the bedroom window open. It was 32F when I woke up... At least it's 36F now and is only raining instead of snowing/hailing. http://www.startribune.com/stories/127/5399682.html CW

I've seen plenty of people in Canada with DirecTV. You just need a US mailing address. CW

You do realize that a superintendent works more than 180 days a year, right...? Also, who's to say that there isn't a cap to the number of days you can aquire? Where I work, I can't bank more than 5 or 6 weeks (for example). CW -
Don't say you can't get the NFL chanel - You could get DirecTV. CW

Green Bay Packers. My in-laws (who live in Green Bay) root for the Bills (when it doesn't conflict with the Packers' needs), and I return the favor by rooting for the Packers (when it doesn't conflict with our needs). Mutual respect. Plus, my name's out side of Lambeau. http://www.thevfl.com/brick1.jpg http://www.thevfl.com/brick2.jpg CW

Airline tickets are free - nobody has to pay for them. That said, I think teams should be stuck with the first pair of tickets they buy. You either buy the first flight you find, or you hold off and look for a different flight, hoping that the first one doesn't fill up. It'd make things more challenging IMHO. BTW - the commercials for the next Amazing Race are asking for families of 4 to join. Could be interesting. CW
