  1. I thought there was going to be a flag there
  2. And Favre has a touchdown already
  3. Not converting that short yardage play sucked. Winning teams get that done
  4. I liked that pass rush!
  5. We're Doomed!!! Enjoy the game today! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080907/ap_on_...GO94AzD0yys0NUE

  7. "I'm delighted to welcome you to the 2008 Alaska Independence Party Convention. ... Keep up the good work!" --Sarah Palin No American flags were thrown out after this convention, I'll assure you that!
  8. Well at least she doesn't throw American flags away! McCain/Palin 2008, because I love the American flag! We need a Constitutional Amendment against people throwing out American flags in clear plastic bags!
  9. How dare you show those pictures of our flag in garbage bags! You know how many people died for freedom defending that flag and you show them displayed like that? Its almost as bad as a cross in urine! I need to go lie down I'm so devestaed by those pics. My whole day ruined! Go McCain!
  10. WASILLA, Alaska -- The biggest project that Sarah Palin undertook as mayor of this small town was an indoor sports complex, where locals played hockey, soccer, and basketball, especially during the long, dark Alaskan winters. The only catch was that the city began building roads and installing utilities for the project before it had unchallenged title to the land. The misstep led to years of litigation and at least $1.3 million in extra costs for a small municipality with a small budget. What was to be Ms. Palin's legacy has turned into a financial mess that continues to plague Wasilla. "It's too bad that the city of Wasilla didn't do their homework and secure the land before they began construction," said Kathy Wells, a longtime activist here. "She was not your ceremonial mayor; she was in charge of running the city. So it was her job to make sure things were done correctly." http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122065537792905483.html Ya, she will continue the Bush/Cheney legacy just fine
  11. Clear plastic bags? Hmmmm....ya, flag burning amendment on its way!
  12. 1) As long as they leave the returnable bottles for me, I'm fine with it. 2) Flag desecration amendment outrage can't be too far away.
  13. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/06/t...f_n_124499.html But according to a senior official involved in organizing the Democratic convention, the McCain camp is simply lying about the flags. "All of the flags at Invesco were picked up and put in bags and into storage, along with the unused flags and campaign signs. The flags were going to be donated, and the signs were going to be sent out to be used elsewhere," the official said, speaking anonymously since he was not authorized to talk to the press. Fox News' Carl Cameron and Bonney Kapp reported that they had "been told" that "a vendor at Invesco Field found the flags, which were going to be thrown out, and turned them over to the McCain campaign." The Democratic convention official says that's not true.
  14. He is good one. I guess he is very gaffe prone, which should be fodder for these boards, and I guess already have been. 7-11 and Indians
  15. 1) Do you remember the insult and who delivered it? 2) Mathews, Gary; Items Discovered on the Long, Weary March Home, the story of Poncho Granda's retreat from Mexico City in 1912; Burrito Press; 1934
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=955Y3NJTRIE He's a good speaker
  17. I don't agree we are well on our way to losing. We took a punch this week, but that's ok, we have been punched before and gotten up. Enjoy your convention bounce which has tied the game. Bounces go down eventually. And Iraq isn't hurting the Democrats. I think the country is in agreement this was a mistake But, let's just look at Iraq and leave the politics aside for a second. Yes, things are getting better around the world in the country of Iraq. Great. Now what? Was all this worth it? The wasting of our resources on this messy operation, I'm not so sure. Maybe it was. Saddam having all that oil was not good, but then again maybe he could have been like Quadaffy. If I was the Prez I wouldn't have done it, but the milk is spilled and the clean up is going ok now, I guess. Back to McCain. McCain isn't Bush, for all the "McSame" talk. We don't know what we are getting with him. He is the ultimate flip flopper. He might govern like a Democrat for all I know. You guys might be the ones complaining the loudest about him, and the Right Wing has a track record of doing just that with him. It can be argued that this election is between two Democrats. thanks for taking me through my morning coffee, its off to the softball tournament now, later
  18. She has a serious credibility problem: http://www.newsweek.com/id/157439/output/print
  19. My base is bigger than your base! At least I hope so! This will be a really monumental election if the GOP base turns out and they still lose. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iyCjg56...paWOMwD9317JU00
  20. I think they wanted to mention ebay because they felt McCain got burned by lacking internet experience
  21. You are the one that brought up Iraq in an abortion thread, just thought it was good "board etiquette" to discuss it in its proper place. Here I'm trying to be good and you are making fun of me!
  22. http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20080905.../am9xoyqf06li_1 Even though political progress isn't what it was suppose to be at least the finishing of ethnic cleansing and the Sunni awakening against al-quida have calmed the violence. Good. I hope we can dump this occupation sooner rather than later.
  23. Agreed on abortion. I'll start an Iraq thread
