He just dropped that quote in his press conference. Said he learned that from a former college coach who is now in the NFL.

That is is one thing the analysts have said TT lacks. Interesting that he laid that out there.

For a little while I thought TT had made some progress with this. He's definitely done this, but not consistently enough. And I'm a huge TT fan, but he simply refuses to throw the ball to a WR or anyone who isn't wide open. That's not how the NFL works. We have talented WR's. These guys can make plays on the ball. TT should have watched Benjamin's highlights and then just chucked it up and high to him and watch as he came down with the ball most times. TT had his shot. Too scared to throw picks. Sucks. Same thing happened to EJ.

  2. I still Can't understand why people think tyrod is doing just enough. The man damn near dominated that game. The hell with stats, if you watch football, you know exactly what tyrod is doing to opposing defenses

Most fans either just don't believe in the concept of developing your own franchise quarterback or don't have the patience. So many good young prospects are never given a real chance. And people don't understand that when one or more of the key parts of a franchise isn't working (ownership, gm, scouts, capologist, head coach and his staff, quarterback, roster as a whole) the others can be seriously affected. Everyone has to be on the same page to create an environment where a player can even develop at all. Some Raiders fans are already calling Carr a bust. But what's changed over there? What's wrong with their organization? It's not like Carr all of a sudden sucks.

My point is that Tyrod is a huge reason why this team is moving in the right direction. Finally. And don't under play the fact that his teammates voted him captain. He's a leader. Now that we have what looks like homeostasis in this organization, I think the environment is ripe for Tyrod to take significant steps forward. And many other players too.

  3. after that they double teamed Green most of the game. the db's just didn't know where the ball was. if they turned their head they would have picked off a few more. Dalton was just throwing it up for grabs

A lot of successful big yardage qb's do this OFTEN. The only time Tyrod ever tried this he threw for like 130 and two td's to Sammy alone in that KC game first half. He had some awesome throws that half but one of those Sammy tds' he threw it up for grabs and let the superior athlete (Sammy) out maneuver the CB and actually make an easy catch for a td.

  4. heh? Luck was 1 game away from the Super Bowl, Newton was in the Super Bowl as the favorite, Winston is probably the best up and coming QB in the league. we have Tyrod and you are scoffing at those guys?

Yeah. I would rather continue to both develop Tyrod into our franchise quarterback and continue to build a team and friggin win games, not play fantasy football with roster spots.

  5. It doesn't shock me. I find it something difficult to wrestle with as a spectator. I guess the only thing that keeps me watching is that there's been enough light shed on the problem that any current/future player that doesn't know about this is choosing not to. The informed choice is an option now.

I agree. It's modern day Gladiator fighting and these guys now know that if they continue to do this as a career they will almost definitely suffer severe issues shortly after they retire that will affect them the rest of their lives. We simply were not meant to repeatedly bash our heads for long periods.

  6. His people don't have internet access? Not that hard to see any team play if you care to seek it out.

Haha exactly. I've found a way to watch every Bills game for almost twenty years now without living in Buffalo. So...I guess your peeps don't care that much Stephon.

Can't wait till Andre Holmes toasts him.

I'm pumped to see Holmes in action. Sammy, Zay, Holmes, Clay, and more passes to Shady should be awesome. A very nice core to build on in the coming years.

I'm sorry, but I disagree whole-heartedly. Baseball and football are extremely different sports and while it quite obviously works in baseball across the board, I think in football you have to use the metrics and analytics carefully and sparingly. With lineman and linebackers based on their assignments and how they execute the plays, the analytics seem to me to have more value. But with a QB, there are just so many variables including how a game "feels" or "flows", also known as momentum that cannot be easily quantified in metrics that impact how a QB performs that it is a position that is much more about evaluating the QB by sight and what he accomplishes in the MANNER in which he accomplishes it or fails to do so, than any amount of metrics or analytics can provide. JMO, but it's not about dismissing the analytics as it is being quite cautious in their use.

It's obvious you disagree, but maybe you're wrong. That's what he's saying--it's not likely something you'll even be able to acknowledge.

  8. The dude could have had life by the balls. Suicide is the easy way out. Thanks for the gift Aaron.

Well once you're in prison for life with no chance of parole, or even with a chance--you're 70-80 years old--suicide has to become a more palatable option. I think once you're in that situation, it's not 'the easy way out' as it would be as a civilian, it's just a pragmatic option if you know you can't handle that life for the next 50+ years.

  9. This is becoming a trend - Hogan, Gilmore, Gillislee...

I guess we should take it as a compliment that Belichick thinks so highly of Bills players? friggin dick head.

This is starting to get aggravating though.

I feel like Belichick is almost trolling us at this point...

Maybe he's still pissed off about Rex Ryan talking all that smack? Or Bills fans taking out that billboard mocking Brady? Or shutting them out last year? lol j/k

    We're the Pats farm team

  10. John Murphy just said again EJ was a top 10 backup QB in the league. Does this guy ever watch anyother team in the NFL? I can't even believe this buffoon is still trying to say this garbage. EJ is not only the worst backup in the league, he's probably worse then every other QB including the 3s. I can't even comprehend how an objective person can watch EJ play and be so confused. A top ten back up? Is this guy on drugs?

No, he just doesn't live in hyperboleville like you apparently do

  11. Can someone explain to me the psychology behind posting fake information? It seems to be a "thing" going on in society these days - people seem to delight over lying to large groups of people for no real reason. As a casual student of human behavior, I'm wondering why folks get off on doing that type of thing - where's the thrill in it? Is it just the fleeting sensation of power over a bunch of strangers, watching them react to something false that you created? It strikes me as sick, but the sickness appears to be contagious in our time...

It's a combination of advanced social media technology and the hold it has over almost all of society, not just younger people. Everyone besides the few people who inherently either dislike the premise of social media and/or subconsciously recognized it's danger. I think social media filled a subconscious need most people have for attention/to be recognized/to feel important.

The ones who actively post inaccurate information are the ones who most need this external reinforcement that they matter. People who don't have this need--at least one so powerful that they make up and spread false info--are comfortable with who they are and also have a passion/sense of purpose in their lives. Attention from others isn't a primary concern for them.

    Very frustrating, I agree.
