  1. I guess I didn't pay close enough attention in preseason but all I remember from multiple games was how good Moorman looked. Seriously. I seem to remember him dowing many many punts inside the 10 and 5 during preseason and was happy because it seemed like Moorman had gotten his mojo back. Does anyone else recall this? How much better did Powell look? Or was it just close? I can't recall any boomers like some he has booted in the past but if it's true that DeHaven focuses more on directional kicking than it hardly seems like Moorman has really declined. Idk what to think here. I guess at some point you have to insert youth into a position.
  2. That's Pears, B. Smith, Anderson, and Stevie with groin issues. Wtf is going on in those workouts?
  3. Yeah, I'm confused...does Rex mean use both of them at the same time to simulate 1 Mario?
  4. With all the question threads I thought I'd post another
  5. I agree with all of this. I think continuity on offense is a good thing. I believe Fitzpatrick will have a better year when it is all said and done. I also believe Freddy and Spiller will rip off many long runs. Just seeing them in limited preseason action has been exciting. The way we use the spread creates gaping holes when everything is executed properly, and Spiller has learned how to hit the hole hard first no matter what - and then shift and dance if necessary. I think that our LB and DB corps will get better as the year goes on. They will definitely benefit from having a great D-line in front of them. But being so young they're will be a learning curve. Prepare for that. It looks like our O-line and D-line play will be improved. This will allow our skilled position players to post better numbers. If our special teams continue to dominate we will be in every game and hopefully close out most of them.
  6. Careful - Goodell might be monitoring these boards.
  7. I agree. And there's something to be said about working your way up. Roosevelt has done that. Hasn't he spent 2 years on our practice squad? He's ready to get some consistent reps at the NFL level. If Easley and Aiken are PS eligible, that makes this decision easier. I like Easley alot too but he could benefit from a year on the PS squad, showing that he can work hard, pay attention, and stay hungry -- like Roosevelt did.
  8. It's crazy because just think of who else was drafted that year: Marvin Harrison, T.O. (in the 2nd round I think?) Keyshawn, and I think someone else pretty good. I want to say Chad Johnson but I'm not sure. I've always thought about this with Moulds. So good. Better physical measurements than Harrison too. Imagine if Indy took Moulds and we took Harrison. I think Moulds career was squandered completely. He was a Bill right at the end of a great era and throughout one of the worst in their history. Sad. Yes, the Music City Miracle team was good but that mightve been one of the two or three seasons he was on a good team. He could have had such a better career numbers-wise. One of my favorite players. Remember when Moulds had 100 receptions and Peerless had 94? Let's hope Stevie and someone else can put #'s like that up this year. However, Stevie resembles Reed with his route running and underrated nature. He's not a Moulds type physical specimen. Easley, Hagan, and Aiken resemble Moulds - one can wish upon a star that one of those 3 fill that other outside receiver slot!
  9. Your cool. That's what you want to hear with a prediction like that right?
  10. At least you'll get to complain! That's something that is clearly very important to you.
  11. The highlights on ESPN essentially were to make fun of the Bills and slurp Big Ben. I know the final score was a rout but that's not always the truth in preseason. Young's velocity looked fine. He just has trouble adjusting his touch, like he's thinking about it as he releases. Standard practice of a QB not trusting what he's doing enough.
  12. You guys seem like a match made in heaven! Two honest realists. What could be better?
  13. The chants will be started by fans like you that think this is worthy of a thread.
  14. Wow - what are you looking at? If anything he braces himself at the very last second for contact - which shows he wasn't 100% concentrating on the catch anyway. What is wrong with you? If any other QB throws that pass you would have no problem saying it was perfect.
  15. What an absolute witch hunt against Ryan Fitzpatrick bullsh*t comment. That pass to Steve Johnson was absolutely perfect. Whether you like Fitz or not that pass was great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JP-pzAwK9g&feature=related
  16. Or "as a young team, they just don't know any better." By the time you get to the professional level in any sport I think you understand what you have to do to be successful.
  17. I've always assumed it was another way for analysts to say "he's a north to south runner" or "he's got to stop running east to west and just run downhill". I guess if you're running down a hill it's easier to just keep going straight and you're less inclined to go side to side.
  18. Haha I know nobody cares - maybe if this were a writing forum. But yeah, I find it interesting how the original definition of "decimate" somehow got essentially reversed. I'm sure most on here do not share that same interest lol.
  19. You notice how it is listed as the third definition? My post referred to the original intent of the word, which is the first two. The third was added because of what I said -- evolution over time. It's common for additions to be made to match how it is being used in common speech.
