  1. really disagree here. It's quickly approaching that level
  2. Why do you have to thrown around the word conspiracy when the evidence is plainly in front of you. It's attitudes like yours that let this bullsh*t happen.
  3. I think Rivers just wasn't thinking. Hopkins made a conscious decision to not give up his body and dive for the ball.
  4. Yeah, I agree, that's why you have to look at the bigger picture, not just the stats themselves.
  5. I think it could very well be like Promo said that he's not a shiny new franchise top of the draft pick. Somewhat of an underwhelming choice at first glance, and I think there's always pressure on the GM's to keep fans interested by addressing the QB position in a big way. So even though Kyle could have been a great option to build around, it was more 'exciting' to draft a guy like Tebow, bring that hype to Denver, make fans think you're doing something. Same in Chicago. You have to go w Cutler bc he's the expensive new toy we brought in.
  6. I think he could be a legitimate option. This roster is so talented. Orton is only 31. People will be quick to throw out his career QBR and certain stats, but if you look at the situations he has consistently been in, they weren't ideal. He got shafted in favor of shiny new toys like Tebow and Cutler. Wasn't Orton 21-12 as a starter for the Bears? I remember quite a few Bears fans who were ready to start building around Orton. Orton may be in the best situation he's ever been in here in Buffalo. And EJ is a long term project, and I really like him as the backup learning from Orton. I hope we draft another QB next year mid rounds and he'll be the third string. There's just something about Orton. He has such a swagger and is a lot more talented than people give him credit for. Again, I'm a big believer in looking at the overall picture when grading a QB's career. I think Orton is better than his career stats show. I'm excited to see him play more. *I still believe in EJ, btw, but I see no problem with him sitting for a while.
  7. Posted this in the other Orton thread, but this just cracks me up. He's such an unapologizing badass, and I love it haha. Drinks, smokes, plays ball. If he wins for us he'll be the king of Buffalo
  8. Hmmm, I find this to be very untrue. And I don't think it's a matter of ethics In this case.
  9. Orton's the man.
  10. Great post, but way too rational and calm for this message board.
  11. Not true. When pressured from management comes down, who knows what'll happen. Remember a little controversy with two guys named Flutie and Johnson?
  12. It wasn't really Tebow beating him out as much as Tebow being a 1st round pick and being a hyped up prospect. Orton is pretty solid, he just has gotten shafted with several situations.
  13. Not trying to start an EJ crusade or anything--I actually want Orton in right now--but this is not true. EJ has done this quite a few times this season. People should be more careful when using the words 'never' and 'always'.
  14. I think if Orton does what he is capable of, there is no team in the league that is guaranteed to 'tonk' us in the playoffs. Seriously, as long as we're healthy, I think we're competitive w any team in the league. With competent QB play, that is.
  15. You realize that decision had more to do with who Tebow was and where he was drafted than because of poor play by Orton or lack of faith in his ability?
  16. This is really a great metaphor. Seriously.
  17. Watkins had two drops also
  18. Seriously with this comment. So tired of hearing ignorant posters parrot this.
  19. What the heck are you babbling about
  20. Agreed. I think he has been borderline fantastic.
  21. It's not about conspiracies, this is a clear penalty not called that very possibly affected the outcome of the game--not in our favor. If anything deserves to be whined about, it's this one.
  22. How can you possibly say something like that when your supposed favorite team was just f***** yet again by the refs. What a silly statement. Gilmore gets his fair share of penalties. There are no calls on every DB in the league, why single out Stephon? And I'm sure there were a few that could have been called on AW, Graham, and Leo, and all the rest of the Texans' DBs. The point is, this was a gigantic play in the game, the final meaningful play, and the refs turned a blind eye on a mugging, on a penalty they supposedly have their refs focusing on this year.
  23. And there's just no accountability. The refs are horrid on a weekly basis and nothing is done about it. How can you be so consistently bad at your job and stay employed
  24. That's weird. FOX? Thought it was already the main game on CBS
