  1. "All this is hard to take as a long time Niners fan……..on a positive note at least we got rid of Greg Roman, the worst OC in history…..Rex Ryan will love him…he runs straight up the middle every play" This was from one of the commenters. I talked about Roman with my good friend who is a 9ers fan. He wasn't happy with him this past year but I think things were starting to fall apart in SF and nothing was going right. All the injuries and tension with the front office. I'm still happy with the Roman hire.
  2. The only thing I disagree with here is this. He has a great head on his shoulders and seems to be very emotionally balanced and also doesn't let the ridiculous nonstop criticism bother him. I think he's above it. I mean, just compare EJ to Jameis from an emotional standpoint. One is mature and smart and emotionally intelligent and the other is stuck in middle school.
  3. Lol no the Meh Cassell thing is funny, but hats off to the guy for carving out a 10 year career in the league at the hardest position after being a 7th round pick. I had a signed football by him like 5 years ago but lost it. Actually it was stolen. Didn't care at the time but now that he's a Bill I'm kind of pissed.
  4. He's actually a pretty cool guy it seems. Well spoken, personable.
  5. I think if we're just comparing these two particular highlight videos, EJ looks better. But, I've seen other Tyrod highlight vids and he has an intriguing skill set. Like other posters have already said, we need more NFL tape of both these guys to even make an argument either way. It doesn't much matter at this point what their weaknesses were years ago and against college players, it matters how much they've improved, and by all accounts both are extremely hard workers who are relentless in their pursuit to be great QBs. I don't think EJ gets enough credit for how hard he is to take down. He moves in the pocket pretty well and has a good sense of when and where pressure is coming from. He's also big and strong, and after adding 10lbs of muscle this offseason will be even tougher. He showed good ability and placement on most of those throws. Some caused his receivers to slow up and reduced YAC. What I see in that video is a solid prospect who obviously needed to improve and would require a few pro years at least. I still like him. Tyrod has that electric Mike Vick ability to run circles around people to extend plays. That's something very very few people have ever had in the NFL at that position. Kaep is crazy fast but Tyrod is insanely quick with his movements, like Vick. He also throws a solid ball and maybe had a bit better sense with leading his receivers in college than EJ. If Tyrod learned from Flacco and improved, he could be our Russell Wilson. He did take some big hits in that video, so I hope he has learned to avoid that. Both guys are solid prospects and I'm really excited to see their battle come training camp. I'd be shocked if we don't keep all 3 for the whole season also. Even if EJ or Tyrod loses in training camp, they're still young and could get better. I like both guys.
  6. I love how the NHL wouldn't admit they made a mistake with the No Goal but immediately changed the rule.
  7. We're not going to have a QB this year? Maybe that's why we're stocking up on RBs.
  8. I said he did decent in the KC game. This is the game log for the Browns game.
  9. Really? Wow. He did do a decent job in the KC game. You might be blinded by dislike for the guy or something.
  10. You really want a person like Ray Rice wearing the Bills uniform? I don't. I think a guy like Incognito is about as far as I want our front office to go. Ray Rice is a POS.
  11. San DIego with the stunts really showed teams how to beat our line, pretty easily and consistently. One thing that would be cool to see in the future is some sort of helmet lens or something that can actually show what a QB is looking at every play. That would make analyzing their ability to break down defenses in real time a lot easier. You can pretty much tell already but that's the best way to evaluate QBs I think. I still think the Manuel hate is insane. He's made more plays than any prospect we've had in the last decade and a half. I think between our 3 guys one will step up and play well at QB this year.
  12. Lol, definitely. I'm pretty sure we had like close to 250 on the ground that game too. Just annihilating them with the run, and Hackett calls a play with a pass option. Literally UNREAL. So glad he's gone.
  13. The funny thing is, hasn't it been confirmed that the pick was more Stevie's fault than Tuel's? Stevie did his usual adjustment (which did get him wide open) and Tuel threw to where he was supposed to be? Hard to blame Tuel on a bang bang play when he hasn't had many reps with the WRs, or at least enough to telepathically know what Stevie was going to do. I actually thought Tuel played pretty well in the KC game. Didn't Goodwin have a terrible fumble also?
  14. Me too. They just have to keep being extremely thorough during visits/predraft talks, etc. This guy is plain awful.
  15. Don't listen to the media. Just wait for what you can see with your own eyes.
  16. Oh definitely, but that laugh...
  17. The girl on that show has possibly the most annoying laugh I've ever heard.
  18. I'm pretty sure Wake was chipped a lot by our TEs or RB in motion to give Seantrel a half second more, but he did perform well against Wake regardless. Yeah, I have no idea how anyone would consider the Dolphins' DL better or equal to ours. Pretty darn good, but not in the same league. The Jets DL is better than theirs also. And so is the Rams'.
  19. Our system may not necessarily be power-based given that Shady isn't a prototypical North-South runner.
  20. I'd be surprised if Whaley and co. didn't take a look.
  21. Oh ok you were referring Hernandez. I thought you were talking about the show I described, which had several people on it exonerated from death row. No, I agree. Do the crime do the time applies to him for sure.
  22. What does that have to do with anything my post described? Bizarre response, no offense.
  23. I saw this show on Netflix about people who got life sentences/sentenced to death and had beyond sketchy trials and such. Several were exonerated. Absolutely one of the most frightening things I've ever seen, scarier than any horror movie that's for sure. Pats fans are complaining about circumstantial evidence getting their QB a suspension--people have been sentenced to death on less solid evidence. Crazy how the system can swallow someone up and it can go so far.
  24. Yeah it's the same process my brother applied to both, went to Annapolis. The Hernandez situation is kind of weird for me because both DJ and Aaron played against my high school. To see such ridiculous talent up close and then see it wasted.... Honestly DJ was better, he was just a tweener physically. Aaron was built perfectly for the TE position, but DJ didn't have the ideal body for one position. Otherwise he'd be in the NFL right now.
  25. I don't really see how it's fair, honestly. I know we are all glad that it wasn't more than 1 game, but still, why was he even suspended at all? First offense, it is a non banned substance, wasn't he cited not arrested (not sure on this), and he entered a pre-trial program right away. But really, it's about this being the first substance offense, and can it even be called an offense if it's for something the NFL doesn't ban? I know Goodell has final say on what constitutes breaking the personal conduct policy, but I'm still confused on this. How does Dareus' situation compare to other first time 'offenders'? Has every first timer been suspended or has it been inconsistent? I'm just curious.
