All of this makes sense, but I wouldn't put so much effort into responding to some of the people here because it's falling on deaf ears. They have their minds made up and don't want to listen to reason.

This is conjecture. Many of the anti-EJ people in the media and these boards state things like this as fact. The reality is, it's only rumor.

You don't have to wonder. This is essentially what Rex has already said. He thinks this is better for their development. So all of the people claiming he is about to be cut and/or Cassell has the edge on the starting job are out of their minds and blowing things way out of proportion. Are you serious? They are reporting it through an anti-EJ lens and if you can't see that I don't know what to say. They are going way over the top with their negative slant toward EJ and it's unprofessional to say the least.

This is a good point imo, and one that most people don't seem to understand. Generally, you're hoping to have a solid team around a prospective QB when you draft him. We've been bad as a whole for over a decade. It's not like QB was the final piece of the puzzle. Players succeed in the right environment.

When comparing Vick and Tyrod, you can't forget that Tyrod broke all his passing records at VTech. So yeah they're similar, but stats show Tyrod has an edge as a passer, which is a great thing.

Claiming that being able to read defenses in the NFL and/or throwing a ball accurately is something you're born with, as if it's something coded into human DNA, it seriously the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Athleticism is genetic, but even that can be improved through learning and training. Every trait you're describing is a learned ability.

We're not, he's just getting more early because he's a vet. If he bombs against Carolina his reps should be significantly reduced in both practice and the rest of the games.

This is what gets me when people trash Losman. He really started to show something. Stupid fat Vince Wilfork essentially ended his career with that cheap shot that allowed Trent to step in. But I don't get why most people seem to act like Losman was the worst thing ever. That's why this season is the measuring stick season.

I know it's just so incredibly rare for a QB to be ready from day 1. Don't know why people can't understand that.

The thing with the open disgust being shown by him and the other WR's could also be attributed to frustration about the offense in general, not just the QB. I mean, the team studies tape. They're not idiots, they see that the OLine was a joke last year and only a litter better the year before.

Can you expand on this? All I remember is him throwing his hands up in the San Diego or Houston game and a few times showing some displeasure. Just wondering what you mean, because I wouldn't call that openly campaigning against EJ.

I tweeted to him. Asked him very politely why his EJ comments seem to be slanted negatively compared to others who are attending practice and simply relaying the results of each play. I think he deleted it right away.
