  1. No parking coupons this year?....
  2. I agree Bado, the hang-up seems to be though that Favre's #1 choice (some say his only choice) is to play for Minnesota due to his connections there. Outside of the Pack's division (Chi and Min) there are actually only a few possibilities (Tampa maybe, Seattle a big maybe, and he would be a back-up there as well). I don't think Favre would agree not to go to Minnesota even if GB asked him.
  3. Beastmode spotted with granny sunglasses and offered no comment on hit and run...but tells observers he missed some OTAs due to Lasik surgery on Friday - I knew it wasn't his fault! Obviously the real guilty parties are his faulty peepers, now surgically enhanced and no longer a threat to Canadian pedestrians.
  4. Tipster is right Alexander's character has been impeccable and he would provide veteran knowledge to the RB corps...unfortunately I really don't think he has anything at all left in the tank, which sucks since I was always a fan of his in Seattle. If he could still play at all, he would already be a Patriot.
  5. Thank you Bill. JP is just getting his timing down with Courtney so they can light it up that 2nd half of the 4th preseason game, cause that's the only action either will see in '08.
  6. Ahhhh the NFL...the League of (several) Opportunities!
  7. Hooooollllllllyyyyyy Sh-t! Can we calm down about all the trent talk already?? Christ. I know its May and you are all bored but use the search function - u have all beat this thing to death. He was..wait for it..a ROOKIE last season. One more time for emphasis...A ROOKIE. We know he showed some surprising poise. We know he looked shaky at times, especially in cold weather. Get off it. What did the Colts do Peyton's first season? I don't think I have to remind you. Listen, I am a big Edwards fan, I am. I think he's built (great brains, adequate arm) for success in today's league. The criticism has to stop...we've gone over it ad nauseum already and we are comparing him to established guys! Even guys who broke through last year (Romo, D. Anderson) held a clipboard and LEARNED for a period of time before they came in and lit it up last season. Leave the kid alone Christ. Oh yeah, and my sympathies go out to JP also...he was dikked around by our previous admin. and never got the proper time to develop like the above guys I named did. But he did have a full season under his belt...and he regressed. But to nit-pick Edwards' play all off-season by all of you is getting really old. Find a hobby. Be a big brother or something. It's been done guys. He's in, at the top of the list. He'll be at the top of that depth chart for the entire season, barring injury. And that is the way it should be.
  8. Evans - Top 10 WR Moorman - Top 3 Punter Lynch - Top 10 RB Peters - Top 3 LT Whitner - Top 5 SS
  9. Who calls football stadiums "arenas"? Canadians? Then they really don't deserve an NFL franchise.
  10. Soft schedule baby! And Trent Edwards bustin' out with James Hardy catching 15 1-handed TD receptions (because the other hand is on his pistol)
  11. Also I am with AD on this one as well -- I don't even think stright-line speed would be that much of a need for a 2-receiver, especially a tall possession guy, nevertheless Hardy seems to have it based on his 40 times. Also, for some to question his "athleticism" is baffling to me. The kid played D-1 college basketball as well remember? I don't think its fair to compare a rookie to a proven pro player, but Antonio Gates the most recent guy I can think of that played significant basketball in college, and he is universally considered one of the best "athletes" in the game. Basketball players can run, jump, and possess excellent endurance; all that translates to the receiver position. I am sick of all the hypothetical injury BS. If anyone wants to break into Hardy's house while he's asleep and measure his bone density and lean muscle mass to try to pinpoint the date and time he will suffer a major injury I say go ahead, have at it. Let us all know what u find out. In pro football ALL players of ALL positions and body-types suffer injuries ALL the time. Some players play hurt week in and week out for entire seasons. That's just the reality of the game, so get over it - eventually he will get hurt, just like Lynch will get hurt again, Lee will get hurt, Trent will get hurt. Last year some thought A. Peterson's production might be limited in the NFL given his history of injury. And you know what happened? He did get hurt - and missed 2 1/2 games - and still ran for 1350 yards.
  12. :w00t: Yeah he hotwired a Turismo and made it all they way down to Vice City, but then he and Roscoe went out drinking and both picked up DUIs and got thrown in the drunk tank for the night!
  13. Kelly nailed everything earlier, but my two cents for emphasis: They're both SLOWER than friggin molasses. That may be forgivable if either was a servicable TE blocker/H-back, but they were both below mediocre in that area as well. Royal's played basically full schedules the last 4 seasons (04-07) and caught a total of 74 balls. By comparison, a good tight end, Winslow, caught 71 last year. Gaines isn't worth mentioning, he's Detroit's problem now. I think going back to more traditional FB sets will take some pressure off the TE blocking this season, which is why I think they took a speed guy like Fine. Hopefully he can show he can block a little bit, and Royal can be relegated to early down spot-duty, which is where he belongs.
  14. Amen AD. Unfortunately law school (which I actually finished HeHateMe, chime in on Constitutional Law after you graduate, just a suggestion) is full of clowns like him: he probably took a 1 credit 2nd Amendment class and now he thinks he's the next Barack Obama. Don't be shy HeHateMe let us all know how DC v. Heller turns out, since its totally relevant to this particular case.
  15. Not only that, he savagely beat a one-year old! He knocked a his baby-momma's teeth out! At least that's what the media tells me, and when is the media wrong?! Roger Goodell, where are you! Wake up and castrate this menace at once! How dare the Bills choose this menacing thug to represent our proud franchise, full of citizen-angels such as Bruce Smith, Willis Mcgahee, Roscoe Parrish and OJ Simpson!!?
  16. Sorry no link from website yet...only saw a blurb on SC with a statement from Bills
  17. This is just my guess, as these talking heads never give their reasoning, but maybe its because he has only played one season at weak-side. Before that he was at Mike in KC (IMO he played well at that position too). Obviously he will be exclusively at weak side with the Bills, but he played out of his mind last year at that position for the Giants, so I don't get it. Schein labels himself on Sirius NFL radio as a salary cap expert, so I'm sure he's crunched the numbers and compared his deal to other comparable weak side backers to reach his conclusion, but he doesn't fill us in.
  18. Come on man you are not serious are you? What you fail to realize, or even mention in passing, is that 1st round picks, even high first rounders, can easily be busts as well. Some are just way overvalued. Some unfortunately get hurt and aren't able to play up to their talents. Sometimes you draft an otherwise great player that gets arrested 8 times in twelve months and get suspended by the league for a year. What Ramius said if you actually read the post is that 1-3 rounders have reasonable chances to develop into NFL players, as opposed to late round picks who get cut or placed on the practice squad. Ramius outlined a well-researched topic and you respond with an ornery, unsupported, one-sided response. You are the clown buddy.
  19. "Nice 1-2 punch" huh? You referring to J. Jones and M. Morris? Or maybe Jones and T.J. Duckett? Yes that sounds mighty formidable. Sorry maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but those combos don't strike fear in my heart going into week 1. Face it buddy their running game has been garbage since Mack Strong left the team. You think Owen Schmitt is going to step in right away and fill those shoes as a rookie? Nate Burleson? He's a cast-off and, as you correctly pointed out, is now relegated to special teams. D. Branch? yet to catch over 55 balls or play a full season in seattle. Engram is the only proven guy and like I said and he's 37. Carlson won't beat out Putzier for the starting tight end job. Sorry bro but I don't just fling sh-- against the wall and see if it sticks I do know what I am talking about I do follow football. I respect Seattle's D I think they have outstanding players in Tutupu and Trufant. And if you read the story linked at the top of the post and my response to it, you would realize I was mostly criticizing the author's reasoning for placing Seattle higher on his power rankings, not the team itself. His 1 sentence "reasoning" for their placement was their weak division; nothing was spoken about the actual talent on the team.
  20. Yeah I liked trading places too...doesn't discount the fact he's a moron
  21. Kid languished at Mike backer in KC and still picked up over 100 tackles his last two years, before moving to weak side still and tore it up for Giants last year with 76 total tackles, 71% of those unassisted? Even in Ellison's most productive year (2006) he only registered 51% unassisted tackles. Weak side LB is crucial in pas rush as well and I think Mitchell will help our D up front as much (if not more) than 99 this year......thoughts?
  22. I do apologize in advance if this has been posted before...
