Brian Cushing Revisited

Typical meatheaded Jersey trash. He won't sound too smug when his gonads turn to raisins. -
Roster turnover - my initial 53
Zulu Cthulhu replied to eschej13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your roster predicts 5 rb's make the team but you only have 4. Only 5 corners seems a bit light but I assume you went that way considering we will carry more LBs this year. All those 2nd year guys are gonna be cut huh? -
One voter changed his vote...
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All 3 of the other 1st place vote recipients got the shaft because moralizing sports reporters like Bouchette and Don Banks were so busy constructing illogical "slippery slope" arguments and crowing about precedent that they missed the entire point. These idiots are trying to sound like jurists and legal academics when they complain about being pressured to break precedent - new flash, guys: precedents can and should be broken when conditions and circumstances change in a way that warrant it. The NFL's testing procedures and PED list has evolved over the years to keep up with cheaters like Cushing who keep trying to find ways around screeners. I hope Bouchette is proud of his spite vote. It's a slap in the face of more deserving players like Byrd and Orakpo and no amount of his rambling rationalizations can change that. -
Cushing wins re-vote

Good. Some just don't know how to play nicely on the internets... -
I agree that it would be a longshot to see McGee on any return duties anymore, barring injuries. Like it or not, he is our #1 vet CB and probably still the most valuable to that unit of the D. Between McKelvin, Parrish, Jackson and Spiller (+ maybe one of the young WR if they prove capable) I still think the return game is top 3 in the game though. It's the one non-embarrassing holdover from the Jauron era (or course it was mostly April's doing).

Sources: Texans' Cushing Suspended for 4 Games

Matthews Jr was also rumored to be under investigation for roids...guess that's how they do it at USC -
Williams, Russell and Adams, huh? It's obvious you are just trying to stir the hotheads on this board up so please stop. That or you are really, really drunk.

Why Buffalo didn't go after a big name QB
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Pete_C79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They did go after a big name QB - his name was McNabb and he was traded to the Redskins instead. None of those qbs coming out of college (with the exception of Bradford - maybe) are "big name" -
Race factors into evaluation of Gerhart
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Joaquin1119's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most of those guys are from a different era; the most recent one, Alstott, was a short yardage specialist / fullback. Sure Mike stuck around for a while, but he also literally snapped his neck doing so. Race issues aside, I think most personnel guys are more concerned about using a high pick on a guy who might not last very long, unless he is paired with at least one other back. -
Don't forget about one of the greatest criminals in Bills history: Travis Henry. Only the Juice himself is more notorious.

Which would you rather have ?...Marshall at $10 mil
Zulu Cthulhu replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Byrd's a probowler and the rest are solid draftees/acquisitions. I like Buffalo's hand as well but it is hard to quantify an elite talent like Marshall. -
In an effort to bring even more parity to the NFL

Hilarious. You must write jokes for Jay Leno. Boo this man -
Exactly and I know I'm splitting hairs here, but everyone keeps commenting on how these "tapes" disappeared; immediately jumping to the conclusion that Ben paid to have them disappear. There never was any physical "tape" that some bodyguard absconded with when the police turned their backs. The bar had a DVR system which, anyone under 55 should know, is totally digital: there is nothing to "steal." Police were reviewing the system's footage when they were called away; none of the police realized at the time that the system records on a loop and the relevant footage was erased by the time they returned. There was no camera pointed into the womens' washroom anyways, which is where the alleged attack took place. The police have admitted to all this over the course of the investigation. There is no "tape mystery." If anything, blame the police who failed to realize the system would overwrite the footage they were reviewing.

Geez I guess we should forward your post on to the coaching staff. We posters aren't setting the defensive strategy; we're just going on what the coaches have intimated to us so far - and so far the 3-4 is what they've told us they're doing. AW is the quintessential contract year player. I agree with some above - he probably could play nose in a 3-4, but that means no sacks for big fat Albert so he's gonna cry about it all the way to the bank because Snyder is a dipsh!t. Seriously the retard meter on my laptop hit 11 when I pulled up the front page of posts on this board. Bulger? Campbell? Haynesworth? Are you morons so starved for the Bills to make a trade or move in free agency that you will just take any reject off any team? How about the Bills just trade one of JUGS machines to the Raiders and get JP back? Will that satiate you enough to back away from the keyboard and resume banging your heads against the wall?

Trade up?...and no not for Tebow lmao...

I don't know, indifferent? I could care less what the "Boston" Patriots do on draft day. -
Shawne Merriman...

Some stuff from Rotoworld about the Bills
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FWIW, James Harrison is listed at 242. He took some time to develop too, but eventually became Def. player of the year. Obviously way too early to compare Maybin to him, but you can't make statements like that based solely on Maybin's size (or lack thereof). Also, good stuff on George Wilson. I'm not one of the many Whitner haters on this board, but no one can deny the fact that Wilson has outplayed him at every turn at a much lower price. I'm for getting rid of Whitner now while he still commands some value. -
The 41st pick is a steep price, but McNabb is an intriguing fit. Probably can't count on him to play all 16 games anymore, but is still leaps and bounds over what the Bills currently have. I just don't think McNabb would ever sign an extended deal to play here, so giving up a 2nd for one year makes no sense. Arizona seems the logical place; No matter what the Wiz says, I know he can't have any faith in "Hottub" Leinart.

At least you Cuse fans can get all your whining out early, instead of after the championship game when they would have got stomped by Kentucky. -
Patriots Sign Alge Crumpler
Zulu Cthulhu replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear ya Bench and while lately he looks like he's been hitting the twinkies a lot, Crumpler is still a decent veteran TE who can block and catch (when he can get open, which isn't frequent). The bigger problem is there is so much turnover on this team, in the coaching and quarterback departments, that we really can't know what to expect on offense from one year to the next. Maybe Gailey and Nix have designs on minimizing tight end sets and opening up into the spread and didn't feel the need to pay a vet like Alge. Who knows because they are certainly not talking. Of course, based on Nix's recent comments, they don't even know who's QBing this team, what RBs are going to be on the roster, whether Hardy and Johnson will pan out as receiving options, etc. There isn't an offensive philosophy in place so how can they evaluate whether or not to take a shot with Crumpler? -
UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can we bow our heads and pray...That doesn't sound like Tim was asking them if he could pray for them. Parse that sentence again. -
UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're sure he was, huh? Well I can't say I agree with your assumptions. I think different guys and gals embrace a faith for many different reasons. Some really believe in it. Some convert to a religion so they can marry the person they fall in love with. Some preach to steal and rob other peoples' money. Still others just do it for power and sway over others because they're power mongers and sociopaths. So you, buddy, can't really say why Tebow made a public request for a prayer, can you? Unless you're his daddy or his preacher. Sure others in the room could have sat his little display out and not participated. That's not the point. That wasn't the place or time for Tebow to practice his self-righteousness and he got an appropriate response from the room, in my opinion. As for your last comment, I'm confused. Are you saying you know the reasons for my reply as well? How can you be inside my head and Tebow's head at the same time? Unless....oh no, is that you Jesus? I take back everything I said. -
UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree it was disgusting for Tebow to disrespect the other players by asking them to pray to his Christian god right before taking an important test that could possibly cost them real-life dollars, not the imaginary religious capital he tries to gain at every turn by shoving his piety in people's faces. Again, if Tebow really did want to pray for the right reasons, he could have mouthed a prayer silently to himself. I hear the Lawd is an excellent lip reader.
